The Jaws Fish & Chip Shop in Plymouth

We ordered fish and chips x 3 for delivery. We received 3 fish and 1 chip. When I phoned the shop,I was greeted by a young girl who had absolutely no clue what to do. After a few minutes on hold (the fish is nw getting cold). She offered to have the missing chips delivered WITHIN AN HOUR !!!. I declined. When I asked for a refund or even a credit note. I was told they couldn't do that and put the phone down. 36.00 in the bins,I went to Francines instead. !!

chips were missing so just had fish and curry sauce. rest of the food was cold. what a waste of money. have used this chip shop for years and always been good. go e down hill

Cod was really lovely, chips were a little cold not enough fluffy ones but good but the mushy peas tasted cheap. I did a note to say lots of salt and vinegar but they didn’t add any at all

Honestly can’t recommend them enough, I accidentally like a dumbass placed my order from pickup getting confused on the location. After calling then notified my my food was ready, in no time at all may I add, and understood my mishap. They contacted their manager which worked with me and helped me get the food delivered. The food was 10/10 and matched their hospitality.

I ordered food at 1830. 2 hours later the food was delivered. The driver had my food for 45 minutes before it got to me (I live a 5 minute drive from the chips shop I ordered from) They food was cold and I only received a couple of pounds in credit back? Shocking customer service!!!!

Ordered sausage and chips which was fine. Some reason they also sent another item that I didn’t order. Not even sure what it was. Some sort of fritter?

Delivery driver messed up order and we had someone elses order but after speaking to the restaurant myself they corrected with no hesitation. Will not be using just eat anymore

We decided to try the jaws after reading about their recent best chippy award in the local paper. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing, and a large portion really means a large portion here. I had cod and chips, and my partner had the haddock. Both were absolutely delicious and as traditional as you can get. The only thing missing from the taste and quality of years gone by was the newspaper that every order used to be served in. God, I miss those days. I most certainly recommend place to everyone.

Shocking! I usually use them a lot but this time they had clearly forgotten the order i had to phone up and see what was going on and then after another 45 minutes wait it finally arrived

Brilliant fish and chip shop, customer service is great from all the staff but especially Lynn or better known as "Eggy"! We came back again today for more cod roe as she tempted my partner to try it for the first time a couple weeks back and he loved it! Would highly recommend 🙂

Great food, a traditional fish n chips as it should be, except with excellent food and huge portions (pic is a small). It's really good and some great menu choices! Sadly, sometimes due to serving the queue of delivery riders, you can expect a 30 minute wait sat in the shop. That's not great so loses some stars. Worth a visit (early to avoid the rush) 😜

Never got the code which I lost the delivery driver was very helpful but I felt he was a bit concerned about me not having this code

Cannot fault this delivery we had, chips were hot, fish was beautiful, sausages cooked lovely and the gravy was thick and delicious. Have ordered here a quite a few times and its the only chippy we use. Well done

The food is always great, the portion sizes are amazing, prices are very reasonable...but, for me, the reason I return is the atmosphere. The girls there remind me of how places used to be, their genuine happiness and warmth makes all the difference in the world.

lovely folk, great fish and chips. I generally get haddock because cod is dangerously over fished but we had cod and haddock and both were excellent. Large chips was indeed large with flavour / texture nearly as good as my local 🌞

Food great as always. But JustEat delivery is abysmal. The delivery rider couldn't find me, took a good while to call to tell me, couldn't tell me where he was so I could help him then just hung up. I called back, he kept me hanging on the call I was paying for, couldn't follow instructions and according to the tracking system kept riding off in the opposite direction. Eventually the food arrived, no apology just surly attitude

Need to read the receipt properly when I say salt and vinger an it comes plane and the drinks putting cold. Bottles on top of hot food in the same bag sort it out food is gorgeous just do your best and read or notes

Amazing food, delicious crunchy chips, nice polite staff and at a reasonable price.

Spent £13 on piss watered down peas, old reheated chips fish was swimming in vinegar and the curry just looked like vomit couldn't give a zero so had to begrudgingly give a 1 star an I waited 15/20 minutes on this delicious food 🤢🤮

Waited one and a half hours, then phoned the takeaway and was told that the delivery company hadn’t turned up, so I went down and collected my order. The food was great as usual. After we’d eaten I had a call from the delivery driver telling me that he had my order. I explained that we’d waited 90 minutes and then I’d been and collected the order myself. He was rude, abrupt and swore at me. A few minutes later he rang again as if nothing had happened and again told me that he had my order, then

Chips are hit and miss, 3 times now had small hard chips, enough to break your fillings off.

i ordered a large pasty and kids cod bites and chips and was told delivery would be at 17.05by 18.30 it still hadn't been delivered i phoned the jaws and was told they were very busy so would have to wait , nothing arrived all evening although have put it ws delivered at 19.30, i never recieved my order so i am £9.70 out of pocket .I think this is bad service

We entered the venue and was greeted with a huge "hello we'll be with you in a moment" great start indeed, the venue was seeing a constant flow of what looked like happy returning customers. We ordered small cod and small chips which when they came looked rather large indeed. We decided to eat in at the small very clean table in the corner... table service followed to our surprise by Linda and very nice polite lady who brought our food and salt and vinegar... Lind returned to check out we were OK and all was grand with our most delicious food, I must say the best I've ever had. Alexandra and Linda were just lovely ladies who for sure wanted their customers to enjoy their experience. I heard lots of hello 's and enjoy your day and see you soon's. Two fish and chips to eat in for less than £12 truly outstanding. Jaws are looking after their community for sure. I would give the place 10 stars if I could. Well done to you all for your Stirling work and warmth. THANK YOU ALL.

Stopped for a quick dinner, cone of chips was fresh, hot and tasty! Can't recall the price but was reasonable, and they had different portion size options too. Scored 4/5, as I literally had chips so not too much to comment on.
