Don’t let the name fool you ! It conjours up opulence and quality … we got a dirty table and a rubbish sandwich … cheese and onion toastie running with fat off the cheese (cheap stuff that’s why) a pathetic salad and barely a third of a portion of coleslaw which was room temperature … nice staff though ! Ps in their favour they do allow dogs but £1.50 for a pupaccino is taking the Mick

Went for a breakfast with bro and there was some butter looking at me from behind some class clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a number of years bro got so sad and left so I had to eat 2 breakfasts!!!!!!!!! Never again for me and bro

Nice place, overpriced, £3.95 for a slice of cake! When drinks were brought we asked for sugar and were directed to a table to help ourselves.

Went today with our two young children sat outside out of the way. Children were sat outside having a snack (which yes we brought) whilst we ordered as they were very hungry and it was keeping them occupied. We had planned on making a big order to feed the 4 of us, including hot food and drinks. Unfortunately we were told the children could not consume their snack even though we were in the middle of ordering and waiting for food. Needless to say - we only ordered one panini to take away and left - having our proper lunch elsewhere. Edit in response to the response- neither of the children were eating sandwiches- as we were planning on ordering their lunch from the cafe - we were very rudely told “you can’t eat your own food here” to which I replied that we were in the process of ordering and could the children just have a quick snack as they were hungry and waiting for food. One child, whilst she had crisps in her snack box was not consuming those both children were consuming a frube yoghurt and had a small selection of strawberries. I was rudely told no. So yes we did decide to cancel the majority of our order and went elsewhere. Please do look through the other comments. Many state how rude staff are, this may be something which could and should be addressed.

Lovely place to eat food always good. Counter service is very slow however and inside tables are cramped and hot. Lovely outside or to take away.

Really nice place. Park down the lane for free or pay to be closer. Great walk around too. We were advised of a long wait for food - it wasn’t long at all and was great.

Lovely cafe in a lovely location. Food is well made and presented. Service is very friendly and efficient. Always look forward to stopping here for some lunch and a drink when we go for a walk around the estate. When the sun is out, it makes it hard to beat

Lovely cafe, very friendly and a piece of cake to die for!!

Visited for lunch with my wife. I had the special of the day which was poached eggs with two slices of toast, avocado and chilli jam. I also ordered a latte. As I did not particularly want the toast I was offered mushrooms as an alternative. The meal was delicious!

Delicious food and drinks. Excellent service, too. Will be returning soon.

Nice little spot for a drink. We only had hot chocolate and lemon drizzle, but both were lovely. Hence the 4s, as we can't comment on the hot food. BTW.... hope you don't mind me mentioning that Potato is the correct spelling, not Potatoe. Sorry, ex-headteacher mode! 😁

When we have been before the food/drink has been fine but the service and organisation is constantly awful. To queue for 20 minutes to be then told 2 hot drinks to go will be another 30 minutes is just not good enough. Please, please, please just employ someone just to serve people that want drinks and pre packed snacks to go. It will make your life and our lives much easier. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS REPLY I am not sure i have a solution for you but not many customers are going to wait 50 minutes for 2 take away hot drinks.

Regrettably, our recent stroll around the estate was marred by a prolonged wait for coffee at this establishment. It's perplexing that with a sizable staff, there isn't a more organized approach—assigning roles like promptly attending to customers at the counter and streamlining the coffee-making process. This standard procedure is evident in coffee shops globally. Anticipating a swift and perhaps defensive response from the proprietor, I suggest redirecting that energy into creating a more structured environment for your hardworking yet seemingly uncoordinated staff. Despite this setback, I plan to return, given our frequent walks in the area, and I sincerely hope to observe positive changes to report.

Just a little coffee shop in St Ives. Nice place to stop after a long walk or mountain bike ride. Pleaseant staff, reasonable prices and nice outdoor seating (if its not raining). If you want to drive here there is £1 parking charge recently introduced by bradford council.

Appalling service. I ordered two cheese toasties for me and my friend. One arrived, and we were assured the other was on its way - twice. 15 minutes after watching my friend eat his meal, we asked again and were told they would start making it now! I get it was busy. But if you are serious about taking care of your customers you need to EMPLOY ENOUGH STAFF. We had to find another cafe in Bingley town centre and my friend had to sit and watch *me* eat this time! It was equally busy, but at least they brought the meal as promised! Edited to reply to the owner's response: I paid £10 for the two cheese toasties and received a refund of £5. So I was refunded only for the toastie I ordered but did not receive.

Really slow service, there was no queue we ordered 2 coffees and they took 15 mins. The queue built up in the time. Yet 3 or 4 staff working just doesn't seem to be organised. Watched people getting food at least 20 mins before coffees. It's never great service but today was the worst. Nice coffee if you're willing to wait. Edited to reply to the owner response. Great service isn't anything to do with how many days you work which I never mentioned. It's about anticipating your customers needs managing expectations. When you stand at the front of a queue ask for coffees to take away and aren't told how long the wait is then, yes 15 mins is a long time. Even a simple "we'll be with you in a moment" would have been great, as we stood for 5 minutes at the counter before anyone approached us. And no of course I couldn't see the "6 people before me" because that's nothing to do with me - I wasn't saying anything about their experience just my own. I also never said I was the only person in the cafe you seem to have misread my review when I said that other customers were getting there coffee a long time after their meals - I could see the other customers. Rather than being so defensive maybe review your busy periods to try and reduce wait times as we were sat waiting for our coffees you lost at least 5 customers who wondered off as they didn't want to wait. We heard 3 groups decide not to visit as we were waiting, either because of the queue or because they knew the wait would be a long one. As for me not being supportive - to improve your business you need constructive criticism not people just saying what a beautiful location it is as that would be beautiful no matter what.

Walked up from St Ives P&D car park. Had to ask someone where it was as there are no signs along the way. We arrived Sun at 1pm and ate some tasty cake along with a coffee. At the time there were more staff than customers. Pleasant rustic interior, clean tables and loos. Happy to try more of the menu next time.

First visit to the Ivy kitchen ,but if I'm ever in the area again, would definitely be going back. Plenty choice on the menu ,both hot and cold snacks ,meals. Beautifully presented and served by friendly staff 😀. The homemade cakes were delicious 😋. Toilet facilities were clean and tidy.

Fantastic family run cafe in the heart of the beautiful St Ives Estate. Best coffee in Bingley! Fab seating area at the back too. Great staff, a must visit.

Cafe in the middle of a nature area. Can't refill a bottle (not their fault if the water is not drinkable) but selling plastic bottles, no recycling bins, lots of plastic wrapping. 20 minutes to get a cold sandwich to takeaway, could at least tell us in advance. Poor for this kind of place.

Great coffee etc and home made cakes. Have actually watched them making them. Good selection of breakfast things and snacks too. It’s nice to find a cafe which is actually dog friendly and not just pretending to be. Dog sausages, doggie ice cream and biscuits available. Use it regularly and staff very friendly. It can get busy in summer, but staff work as quickly as possible.

Another regular visit to The Ivy Kitchen. We timed it well as, although the number of cars in the car park suggested it might be busy, there were a number of people leaving. Being a couple of days before Christmas there were a number of reserved tables but we managed to find one that was free. We had our dog with us, as did the other customers and dog walkers are always given a welcome. The café has a number of items to satisfy the visiting pooch but humans are also well cared for. From a fabulous cup of cappuccino to a reviving cup of tea there are plenty of drinks available. Likewise, there is always a good selection of cakes as well as quick snacks or more sustaining fare. Staff are very welcoming and service is good but it is popular and customers should be patient on a busy day. It is a regular spot for us to visit and that is based on the above observations.

Excellent. Staff efficient and friendly. Our walking group sat outside at the back in the sun. Wonderful tasty bacon and mushroom sandwiches all round. Couldn't fault it.

After a cold & damp walk round with our daughter & 2 muddy dogs it was warm & welcoming inside. Service was prompt for lunchtime & coffee was rich & tasty. Good sandwiches with salad & yummy cakes. Thank you!

the blonde girl who works there is incredibly rude to us everytime we go and basically throws food at us or ignores us and doesn’t even say hello. When we are regulars and she makes no effort to make it a pleasant stay it’s highly unprofessional. and she literally pulls a face at us while we eat so she can go home sooner. Incredibly unprofessional and altogether an unpleasant experience. And when working in hospitality you are polite and greet customers full stop especially your regulars

A lovely dog friendly café in the middle of the beautiful estate of St Ives ,The cheese and ham toastie was very generous and came with a fresh salad and the latte was beautiful all at a reasonable cost , we sat in a lovely garden at the back overlooking the woods ,all in all a nice place to go for a coffee and a snack before or after your dog walk around the estate

Visited and had a really good sausage and bacon sandwich. Came again the next day and had one of the best chocolate brownies I've ever had.

Sausage and mustard sandwich very, very nice but overall experience let down by the long wait with no queue and as for the coffee, it was completely tasteless. As far as I'm concerned my black Americano was hot water with black dye - shame on you, Ivy Kitchen, your efforts to short-change this customer mean no more coffee orders!

We found a table and spent time taking orders from our 3 cold children. Queued to order and we’re told that they had stopped serving all hot food (beans on toast and cheese toastie) as they were closing in an hour! Three hungry kids weren’t up for plain toast. There was no sign on the door to indicate that they had stopped serving hot food or any effort or gesture to accommodate 6 wanting to spend money on hot food, drinks and cakes. We left and found a much friendlier and more accommodating cafe in Bingley centre.

Very rude .took order money took 5 mins to serve then told us closing in 3 mins !when we expressed dismay v rude and told us we could have not ordered.
