Ivy Asia, Kings Road, Sunday, 1st of September, 16:25. I would love to review the food but no matter how many times I tried to have the food I ordered, served, it never arrived despite repeated assurances and apologies from the waiting staff that it was on it’s way. I would understand if the restaurant was busy or short staffed but it was far from full and there were staff teeming around. Our server eventually got her manager, who instead of coming over to us to explain the delay and possibly apologize about the situation stared at the screen on the restaurant’s ordering system for 10 minutes, scratching her head, then walked off - really odd, unprofessional behaviour. After 1 hour and 2 minutes we got up and left. Other patrons, at 2 separate tables, seated beside us, who came in after us, were served their starters and had finished their mains when we walked out. We were really looking forward to this meal as my son had been there the day before and had a great time. Staff training on customer relations might be a good idea, clearly the manager should be first in line!

Came here for my birthday with my partner and we had the most amazing evening! The food was all delicious and the waitress was so friendly and accommodating. It’s such a beautiful restaurant, overall a great night with great vibes!

This restaurant, like the rest of the Ivy branches was completely underwhelming. Slapping ‘Asia’ in front of the name doesn’t make it Asian. The service was terrible. The waiter asked my boyfriend his drink order three times, asked me whether I had my drink when he could clearly see that on the table there was no drink there after waiting 30 minutes. The food came out at different times so I had to start eating before my boyfriend. Despite all of this no apology from the waiter. We asked to take some of the food with us since they were closing soon and the waiter brought out plastic Tupperware for us to pack the food ourselves. My boyfriend tried to have a word and ask the waiter to pack the food in the back and he refused and gave us Tupperware with no bags. Completely classless and awful dining experience. As for the food, compared to other Pan Asian restaurants in the city, the food was pretty bad; the wagyu skewers were the only nice thing I ate and we ordered quite a few dishes. I usually love the miso black cod but theirs didn’t taste fresh - very fishy taste (in a bad way). Would never come back here. The only thing that was nice was the decor and the Dj.

Went there for a birthday treat and it was fabulous. Hectic and fast moving but good was great and service even better.

Amazing food and great experience, if you don't mind the weird guys leaning in the toilet. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. Would recommend and go again thanks for a great time.

Food was great and prepared quickly. Staff were attentive and offered to take my coat. Music style and volume didn't seem to suit the everything else... in my most humble opinion too nightclub ish....would've preferred some smooth UK Neo soul mmmmm

We visited Ivy Asia for my partner's birthday and had a fantastic experience. Our servers, Eric and Reece, provided exceptional 10/10 customer service. While the initial strawberry daiquiri was a bit watery, they quickly rectified it by adding strawberry syrup upon our request. The food was delicious, living up to the restaurant's reputation. To cap off the evening, Reece went above and beyond by taking great photos of us.

We visited this restaurant for my husband's birthday 28th June. The restaurant itself is beautiful however we were very disappointed with my food which came out cold, had to send back by the time mine had come back out to me, my husband had finished his, so basically we ate separately. Drinks were great, we had a gift voucher to use, when the bill came they gave us another customer's bill and had taken the money from the gift voucher, the other customer's bill was higher than ours. The staff reassured me that the money would go back onto my voucher. I have just checked my voucher this morning as we are due to go to another ivy to use the rest of the voucher and it's £16.30 short of what it should be.

The first time I came here about a year ago the menu was so much better, they did this fantastic Korean chicken dish with lettuce wraps and a bunch of other dishes that were amazing and these have all gone from the menu. I won't be going back as all the best dishes in my opinion have gone from the menu. Lastly the service on our last visit was terrible, unbelievably slow, nobody checking in on us for more drinks and made several mistakes with the drinks order.

The Ivy brands never lets you down! The vibes, service and food are all excellent. Great Japanese dishes, pan Asian noodles menu and the sushi section is super! Beautiful interior with great vibes and good drinks selection. Go for it!

We went there for a special birthday with our daughter and two friends on a Monday lunchtime, there was only 4 or 5 other tables eating, While the food was nice the service was shocking and rude, We had to wait ages to attract someone's attention to order some drinks, they missed one out after 15 minutes of no one coming back a friend went to the bar to order a glass of wine for his wife, he eas told to go back to the table and the same barman walked round and asked him what he wanted, he already knew but was just being pretentious. Again we had to attract attention to order some nibbles and starters for the table, they all arrived at different times and one was missing this turn up with the main course. When the main course turned up they did not even clear the dirty plates we had to move them to another table, another dish missed off and took ages to attract a waiter. After it was finished ordered a cup of earl grey tea which did not arrive till we paid the bill . Absolutely shocking service, cost loads and ruined a special birthday, They never once apologies, they had plenty of staff and hardly anyone in the restaurant on a quiet day. Stay clear unless you want poor service

My boyfriend and I treated ourselves to dinner at the Ivy Asia for our anniversary and everything was amazing! The food was all exquisite, the atmosphere was beautiful & colourful and the service was incredible. The staff were friendly and attentive and really made our special night feel extra special with complementary mochi

I was at your Chelsea venue last night and it wasn’t great. The service was pretty poor and the food wasn’t much better. Our order was taken wrong (missed off one of the dishes and you gave me tempura prawns inside of the tempura prawn rolls). The Korean Beef was very chewy and not great. This was my third visit this year and i’m not sure i’ll be returning anytime soon. The DJ was excellent as ever.

I had the most amazing experience at Ivy Asia Chelsea with my friend and his family! They absolutely loved every moment of it. We were a bit overwhelmed with the menu choices, so we decided to go for the premium set menu. And wow, everything was beyond delicious! The highlight of the night had to be the cod and beef tataki – so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Thank you for a wonderful evening. I really hope our server will get incentive.

I was wiped out for a week with food poisoning a few months ago. An investigation was done and having found nothing they took no accountability. Lobster and duck rice might have been the culprit.

We arrived early and had a warm welcome from the host who acknowledged that I had made the booking for an anniversary lunch and said they’d do something special at the end. That was very kind. We were seated promptly and ordered drinks and food. We ordered the veg tempura, the bonsai and steamed rice. The food was lovely unfortunately, we had almost finished the it all with no rice in sight. It wasn’t particularly busy, empty tables and a quiet Monday afternoon but hardly any staff around. Managed to eventually flag down the waiter and asked for the rice to be cancelled as it had not arrived. We only ordered three items off the menu so not sure how you can forget to bring a bowl of rice. Anyway, he didn’t seem too bothered so quick apology and brush under the carpet and it was taken off the bill. The table was cleared, not even offered a dessert menu and so I asked for the bill shortly after. The waiter brought the bill over, handed it to me, well I say handed but he flung it and it ended up hitting my husband in the face (not intentional I’m sure) but all very strange. Perhaps that was the “something special” at the end. We didn’t receive anything, not that we expected it however, probably best not to tell guests you will do something nice and then not deliver. Would I return? Maybe for the food but the service is left much to be desired… Great decor and pretty looking restaurant if you want to take nice pictures. Food was decent, lack of service and attentiveness was not great.

First time at Ivy Asia, although I had visited other Ivy restaurants before and was expecting a certain standard of food and service. Ivy Asia did not disappoint. Starting with the decor, the buzz, presentation, etc, it was the perfect place to take my daughter for her 21st birthday, as it is very instagrammable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service not overbearing. My favourite dish was the “melt in your mouth” miso cod, stunning! The sushi was also great. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the price. There were 6 of us and the bill came to around £140pp with alcohol. Considering the place was packed, I guess it’s affordable for many. I would definitely go again but only for a special occasion because of the price. Also, look out for a surprise when entering the men’s toilets! Quite hilarious!

I was delighted to visit The Ivy Asia in Chelsea. We went to celebrate my friend’s birthday and ordered the 2-course Asian taste menu, which was exquisite. The atmosphere was incredibly Instagrammable, adding to the overall experience. However, I must admit I was a bit startled by the samurai sculpture in the bathroom.

Food was great, fresh fish and nice sides. The restaurant is also very pretty and the atmosphere is perfect for a fancy night out. However the service is the weakness of this place. The lady that served us didn’t care that much about us, she became a little more interested when we started ordering more food during the night. Still every client has the same worth, so all good we were just a bit disappointed.

Great ambiance but unfortunately the food is just average. Ordered a cocktail which never arrived and upon checking, it seems the server forgot to punch the order in the system thought the restaurant only had 2-3 tables busy with guests. 3rd time at an Ivy restaurant and the issue with service tells me that there is something fundamentally wrong with their personnel management. We ordered from the set menu and while the Beef teriyaki was ok, seafood dumplings were not good at all.

Blackened cod is very small for £36 or so. Had to ask where our bottle of wine was as needed a refill. The waiter also cleared my friends plate away whilst I was eating 🙃

I came in for drinks and had some fabulous cocktails. I cannot vouch for the food this time but I will be back!

We went for dinner with a group of friends and I have to say we had one of the best night in London, all the staff was so friendly and they had a DJ playing great music 🎶, the food was so delicious and amazing👌🏼 definitely reccomend a visit. especially this branch in Chelsea we liked it better than others

I went for my friends birthday to the Ivy, the experience was absolutely brilliant, We got so much attention from the service and the food is absolutely delicious, such a vibe and it’s just in the middle of Chelsea. I really recommend this place.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The food was exceptional, would highly recommend the popcorn shrimp. The interior in the restaurant is so nice.

Nice restaurant and they’ve obviously invested a lot into how it looks. However the food was really disappointing. Bland food that doesn’t deliver on flavour and really overpriced. My dish was also a bit cold. I ordered the duck spring rolls and they were almost entirely filled with veg. It’s really obvious where they try to increase their margins by compromising on quality.

Amazing. Delicious food, the prawn toast was absolutely outstanding. I would go back all the way to this particular establishment The Ivy Asia just to get the prawn toast.

Most precious place i have ever been

Went as a group of 7 and service was great from beginning to end. Cocktails were lovely and I appreciated the mention on the menus of the mixologist who created most of the signature ones. Such great way of recognition! Food was great, we all had the experience menu which I found was fairly priced considering the quality and quantity of food! The showstopper was the dessert platter - try it, you won't regret it!

We went to the ivy Asia Chelsea with my 2 best friends for one of their bachelorette celebrations. To start with the positives - The interior is absolutely beautiful, we couldn’t stop looking around and especially at the floor! It’s definitely a place you want to go to at least once purely for the sake of the decor. The staff were amazing and very attentive. I had requested something special for my friend as it was her bachelorette and they didn’t forget. & some of the negatives - The only disappointing part was some of the food. The starters were lovely - we got the popcorn shrimp and the vegetable tempura. I had miso black cod for my main which was absolutely incredible but a very small portion with zero sides for £35 was a little bit steep. Even a small salad or greens would have sufficed but it came with a few slices of radish. As for my friends, they got the schezuan tofu dish which we all agreed was a bit disappointing. It was good, but for over £20 a plate, we were expecting more with the taste and even the presentation. Tasted very much like an average tofu and vegetable meal I could put together at home in 15 mins. On another note - the cocktails were lovely! Overall, the food was okay. For the prices and the atmosphere we definitely expected more. I’d probably come back purely for the decor and experience but maybe I’ll stick to drinks next time!

Beautiful decor, decent food and mediocre cocktails. Overall a little disappointed for a London Asian restaurant

Great food, but only go if you like really stressful environments and don't want to talk to your anyone at your table. There's a DJ playing unnecessarily loud music with speakers above most tables, meaning no one can hear each other. All the tables end up having shouting matches over each other to try and communicate, making it a stressful way to spend the evening.

What a beautiful place with unreal decoration. The food and service was amazing couldn’t have asked for more. Such a clean restaurant as well. A huge thank you to our waiter Naidu was so polite and welcoming. Nothing we asked for was a problem and he was just brilliant. I hope he gets the praise he deserves!

The only good thing about this place is how respectful the staff are, to be honest. I wouldn’t pay what I paid for the food I had. I felt sick after.

Dining at The Ivy Asia in Chelsea was an exquisite experience. Eric, our waiter, provided impeccable service, enhancing our evening with his attentive and knowledgeable demeanor. The 2006 Dom Pérignon was a superb choice, its fine bubbles and complex flavors perfectly complementing our luxurious meal. The selection of seafood and caviar was fresh and delightful, each bite bursting with delicate flavors. The wagyu was a highlight, melting in our mouths with its rich, buttery texture. This unforgettable dining experience showcased the best in food, drink, and service.

Tacky ambience and clientele. Definitely no locals here. Common looking great during day but I am sure it could look fun at night. Food was not great. At all. The ivy is “a brand” this place has the name but not the taste.

You'll be paying for the deco which is great, because the food is average. Ordered the wanton starters, expecting little dumplings but was served with crisps with sauces (no fillings). Waitress argued that this is what wanton is. The specialty peking duck was served in a fancy manner but sadly the duck skin was not at all crispy, which is fundamental.

We did the Ivy Asia experience menu, very good varied menu with lots of different tastes, a lovely experience and we will be back.

Visited this restaurant last month for dinner it was really a good place to spend sometime with friends and family love the music and ambiance and when it comes to food it was really nice and staff over there were friendly maintained good hospitality service thanks to naidu(employee) for suggesting this place.

Interior design is the only notable part of this restaurant. Poor service and mediocre food.

Very disappointed, they didn't allow us to dine in just bc my friend used to work here and he left the company. That's the reason they gave us. Very disappointed. Shame on you guys for disrespecting a former colleague.

We were due to eat at the Ivy Asia on 17 April. We travelled from the south coast. We arrived in london and were just catching the bus to Chelsea when the restaurant phoned and cancelled the reservation. They claimed they had no water. They said there was an engineer there so I asked them to phone if the water came on. I explained that we had travelled from the south coast. No. they would not be able to phone if the water came back on. They had nothing to say except that our reservation was cancelled. I have heard nothing else from them - not an email of apology. Nothing! I had confirmed the table by email and phone message the day before. They cannot be trusted!

Perfect place to eat, food was great

I was waiting for my food for 57 minutes. The Interior is nice, but unfortunately, the chef can't cook. Bowl with salmon was the worst in my life: the Rice was undercooked, the salmon was too salty, and the avocado and mango were not ripped and not ready to eat. The starter was not tasty as well. All meals did not look like Asian food, more like Indian style. I've been around all of Asia and never tried such bad rice or salmon.

The restaurant itself was cute but the lady was so blunt and rude when it came to taking our order and when we paid. The food tasted good and looked nice but ended up with food poisoning so that’s great.

Love this spot! From the really cool floor, illuminated with green „wood“ style, the fake flowers at the roof, the DJ with nice background music and the samurai at the men’s restroom that greets you with „konichi wa“… Food was flawless, we liked literally everything. Had the nigiri mix, tempura shrimp and vegetables, the shrimp popcorn with spicy mayo, the sushi rooms, mochi ice cream and the ice cream with shredded Oreo that my daughter really loved. Great Negroni as well! We will be back, no doubt at all!

One of the worst services I have had in my life. Waiters were very sluggish and slow and when our food finally came it was cold! However, the food was very yummy when we finally got it!

Visited here for my birthday and had an amazing birthday meal. The prawns to start with were basic but still really good and the lamb chops were absolutely amazing. The cocktail I had was really nice and the candy floss was the best candy floss ever… they gave me a free dessert for my birthday which was a really nice touch, and it tasted really good too! Can’t wait to visit again. Very nice restaurant with amazing interior, great for pictures and the toilets are really nice too. Overall really enjoyed my birthday meal here and would defo recommend. It is a little pricey but too bad. I also like the fact that they open late.

We had a midweek lunch here. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. The non-alcoholic cocktail I ordered was refreshing and ideal for a warm afternoon. Ordered a variety from the menu. Food came quickly however everything seemed to be served at room temperature and my crispy chicken was cold which I found disappointing. The lady that served us was not very friendly or pleasant so we just decided to not bother bringing this to her attention. She didn’t actually come back to check if everything was ok with our meal. There were plenty of staff and only 4-5 tables with guests so the service was a letdown. The bar/lounge looked nice so I would probably go back for drinks only.

Very pricey for a mediocre meal

Decided to pop in last minute and manage to grab a walk in table. Leo was absolutely lovely. Great service, very attentive and charming!

Went here to surprise the birthday boy and so glad we did. Superb food set in a crazy and opulently decorated venue. We all had the sharing menu and everything was amazing. If i had to choose a standout dish, I'd go for the black cod and miso. The gents toilet was hilarious 😂

Had dinner here on a busy Saturday night. The decor and vibe in the restaurant is just perfect. We started at the bar with cocktails that were carefully and wonderfully made. However, when we transitioned to our table, service took a serious downturn. We all had the experience menu. The food was delicious but there was way too much time between courses and we had to continually flag down servers to try and get drink refills. We had also ordered two dishes outside of the tasting menu and we never received them. Our waiter removed them from the bill but the whole experience felt a bit disappointing compared to our initial impression.

Strong smell of b.o as you enter. Duck was very fatty, mentioned it to the waitress who just said that’s how it is.

We had a lovely lunch in the back. Our waiter Gentleman Mr. Ray is so kind help us taking pictures and even speak Chinese to my mom. Helped us changed the fire when it was out. Very impressed.

Great food and interesting decor. Some dishes were really nice, and some were average. Roasted salmon was undercooked and the taste was not great, but we loved miso aubergine, duck salad. Tuna tartare has a lovely sauce, but it was drowned in it. Less sauce would be great.

A very beautiful restaurant with a Japanese theme. A bit pricey; with their food selection a bit limited, and serving needs a tad bit more to justify the cost. Food is ok, taste is really exquisite with a fabulous presentation.

Absolutely beautiful place! I came for the blossom asian afternoon tea and it was wonderful - set up beautifully and delicious. Also the best matcha tea I've ever had! Would highly recommend.

I've been frequenting the regular Ivy restaurant, but this was my first time trying the Asian section. Oh my, the food was incredibly delicious, and so was their service. They truly exceeded my expectations! The only downside is that it took me this long to discover it—I've been missing out

The most stunning decor paired with top quality service made the incredible high tea perfect in every way. They catered excellently for my milk intolerance and made this an unforgettable experience.
