Had a great experience at ivy asia chelsea, had the dragon set menu which was a really good deal quality/price and portions. Wonderful service provided by our waiter Ameen.

Didn’t feel comfortable here one bit, we sat down and waited for someone to answer a question regarding what is halal, took them 15 mins to come to us even when we asked a waiter to come to us he said one minute and went on to attend to other people right next to us. Very disrespectful.

We had an awful experience at the Ivy Asia in Chelsea. Firstly the service was very slow, then the table next to us were told that there was an issue in the kitchen and they would not be receiving their food. They were very unhappy and because the tables were so close spent the entire meal telling us how unhappy they were. Throughout the meal different members of staff came to talk to them including the manager and it was not very relaxing at all and ruined what was meant to be a quiet and special meal for two and turned it into an uncomfortable experience. As soon as we were finished, we paid the bill and left. We were then walking down Kings Road and a member of staff wearing full Ivy Asia costume/uniform came running down the street, tapped me on the shoulder and shouted out in front of everyone that we had not paid our bill. I was so shocked and embarrassed to be confronted this way in the street. I had paid the bill just a few minutes before. I was very upset. I went back to restaurant and spoke to the manager about the way we had been treated and he just did not seem to care. He said sorry but did not seem to think it was a big deal and just wanted to get on with his days. Just an all round bad experience.

From the moment we entered to the moment we left, one word sums up the entire experience , spectacular. Nelson looked after us with such genuine care, providing VVIP service and making us feel truly special throughout. Every detail, from their warm welcome to their attentive service, made the experience unforgettable. The food was absolutely exceptional — every dish was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented. We honestly can’t recommend this brunch enough. It’s officially our new home away from home, and we already can’t wait to come back again!

What an experience! The quality of food is amazing! We opted for the £65/pers set menu and it worth totally the price! Dishes are various, they are not coming to quick or to slow ( it was a busy night though). The service was spot on. Great explanation from the staff on the food items. My sister is lactose intolerant and they managed everything for her. We will definitely come back! See yous soon

This was the first time my daughter and I had visited an Ivy restaurant. Whilst the service was good, pleasant, helpful waiter and prompt service the food was not value for money. My daughter ordered a salmon and avocado maki roll and 'my volcano' the latter of which was disappointing - strange taste and small portion. However, the tiger prawn rendang was delicious : a few more prawns would have made it even better. With a total bill of £75, for three dishes and water (service charge was included - couldn't see this in the fine print) this was not value for money and we left feeling somewhat disappointed.

This atmosphere here is just awesome. Food and cocktails were also delicious.

We came to celebrate a special occasion, and the staff went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the surprise birthday treat, every touch felt thoughtful and sincere. Our server was attentive, kind, and knew the menu inside out. Speaking of the food, wow. Every dish was a masterpiece, but the Prawn Toast and Wagyu Beef were next level. Perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The music, lighting, and ambiance added to the magic. It’s more than just a dinner, it’s an experience. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful restaurant with great service. The dishes are very well presented, and the children’s menu is generous. 👍🏽 However, we were quite disappointed with the Premium Experience menu. While the presentation was impeccable, the portions were rather small and didn’t justify the price. I wouldn’t recommend this option if you have a big appetite. One bowl of rice for 2 persons really ??!!! 😡 That being said, we still had a lovely family time in a stunning setting.

Still buzzing from such an enjoyable afternoon. Came for DS birthday, and from the instant we stepped in, he was already grinning, so it was only upwards from there. He absolutely loved the decor, and with the dj spinning tracks on the decks, the atmosphere appealed to his teenage sense of fun. The service was impeccable, all the staff who buzzed around our table had such a fun energy and were really efficient. We did order a few staple items, and as expected, they were all done wonderfully: Steamed edamame - always a must for the bday boy, I was surprised that he immediately picked up on the difference in the salt - his palate is clearly refining! Prawn tempura - can't go wrong, especially with the dipping sauce. Chicken yakitori skewers - yum. Spiced beef and lamb skewers - hmm, these were just ok. Buttermilk Gochujang chicken - yum again. Salmon teriyaki - you just can't go wrong with ordering this. Beef sirloin - another tasty dish. Black cod - yet another dish that always hits the mark. Lobster and duck rice - the idea of Lychee in rice is alien to me, and although it was strangely nice by itself, I don't think it belongs in the rice - like how raisins don't belong in rice! Aside from that, the rice had some nice flavours, but mind the lobster portion is small and cut into tiny chunks. Roasted aubergine - a total revelation - this was scrumptious! Even the OH (a stout veggie dodger) returned for more! Chocolate - both kids had one each. It's rich and heavy, so if you're nearing your fill point, it's probably better to share. Doughnuts - a decent portion, the perfect ratio of passion fruit filling to doughnut. Lychee - nice and refreshing. The cocktails were quite light touch, so you'd need plenty of them to feel a buzz! My DS had an unforgettable Ivy League experience, and I couldn't have asked for more :)

Had my daughters sweet 16th here and service was appalling. The lady was so impatient and kept going off. Took forever to give the desert menu too as well as the birthday surprise. Didn’t make her feel special or like her birthday. We requested to be seated near the cherry blossom area as well and more private area but was given the seat the closest to the entry. Room lighting and toilet lighting was far too dim. Overall experience was not great, would not come to chealsea ivy asia again.

Had an amazing experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was perfect—welcoming and relaxed with fab decor. Our server Rhys was brilliant, super knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us great recommendations that we really enjoyed. Everything from start to finish was spot on. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We specifically asked for the Experience Menu which was for £48 per person, and they brought us Premium Experience Menu for £65 per person. When we mentioned this situation in the bill, they took the full payment and said it was a language barrier . Even though the experience was very nice, this issue with the payment made us feel so uncomfortable.

Our recent visit (5th of April)celebrating a friend's birthday was a disaster. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Welcoming Experience: Upon arrival, there was no one to guide us to our table. We had to find our way on our own and eventually had to return to the entrance for assistance. Food Quality: The food did not meet the standards we expected from a fine dining restaurant; it was underwhelming And unsatisfying. Additionally, one of our party received their main course ten minutes later than the others, causing the food to cool while we waited. Wine Temperature: The wine we ordered was served too warm, which detracted from our overall dining experience. Ladies Room Incident: The toilets were extremely dirty - disgusting. After finishing our meal, we were confronted by a doorman who aggressively knocked on the ladies' room door, yelling and raising his voice non-stop. He accused us of being in the restroom for five minutes, which was not the case; we had only been there for 2-3 minutes. Even if we had been in there for five minutes, that would still be reasonable time for ladies in a restroom. The facilities in a restaurant should be accessible to guests as long as they are still in the restaurant, and it shouldn't be the guests' concern if the doorman had to wait. With only three toilets available for five ladies, one of which was blocked by a cleaner, the situation was exacerbated. This behavior was not only inappropriate but also made us feel uncomfortable. The kind waiter who served us all evening even apologized for the doorman's actions, which was appreciated but did not alleviate our distress. Departure Experience: As we waited for our cars, the same doorman literally pushed us out of the restaurant because he wanted to close, showing no concern for the fact that five ladies were waiting in the cold. He even closed the door in our faces. This is not how guests should be treated. This experience was one of the worst we have had. we are outraged. We expect an official oppology.

Visited to celebrate a special occasion. Very much enjoyed this lavishly decorated restaurant. Food was great, service was good. Many thanks to the gentlemen in the suit for agreeing to my request move table, since we were initially seated at the table directly in front of the entrance. Made for a much more enjoyable experience.

We were a group of 5 attending for afternoon tea to celebrate 2 birthdays. We were seated in a corner section which was nice but the table was far too small for afternoon tea for 5 people. We had to keep trying to rearrange our dishes to make space instead of enjoying our afternoon tea. None of the waiters were actually particularly friendly. We regularly have afternoon tea in various 5 star restaurants and were let down by the staff. In fact 1 staff was particularly was very rude. We then realised he was a supervisor! It’s such a shame as I have visited the other Ivy restaurants and really enjoyed them. I wasn’t expecting anything less from the Ivy Asia but was left very disappointed. Everyone in our group was upset by the staff. My booking contained a note for 2 x birthdays but they only brought out a candle for one which became awkward as to whom blew out the candle. Surely they would read the booking note.

Visited a few days ago with a friend. Gorgeous interior and well prepared food. The server (Krystian?) was very kind and helpful. I very value a good service as it’s rare and this very much enhances the whole experience. Over all had a great meal and time at Ivy Asia! Thank you guys! x

Lunch at Ivy Asia Chelsea on a Monday with 50 yr olds was surprisingly civilised, ridiculously priced but delicious. The place is a fever dream of lacquered jade floors, pink cherry blossoms and that samurai warrior in the gents standing there like he’s judging your bladder control whilst taking the longest piss in the world. But continence does not matter here because the food is, frankly, outrageous. The black cod is a sticky, caramelised slab of heaven. The fillet steak comes sliced and smug, like it knows it’s the best thing on the table (and it is). Sushi? Clean, cold, perfect. A masterclass in restraint, served in a room that has none. The desert is necessarily ostentatious but unnecessary if you want to continue savouring the savoury on your tastebuds, (undiluted and untainted for the purists comme moi)! Yes, it’s ludicrously expensive. Yes, it’s all a bit Love Island meets Nobu on the weekend. But taste-wise? Genuinely sensational. I’d eat here every day if my bank manager died and left me his PIN. Ignore the crowd (come for lunch). Resist peeking down the samurai. Just eat.

Once upon a time the name 'The Ivy' was classed as an upmarket, stylish restaurant. The Asia Ivy in Chelsea is definitely not that. It is more like a glorified fast food place. Do not go here if you want a nice relaxing meal with good service and good atmosphere. I have eaten at The Ivy in Covent Garden and the food and service there is very good. Here the decor is tacky and the music loud. The policy seems to be to feed people as quickly as possible and then ask them to leave. It's about numbers not quality. When booking it states you have 1 and 3/4 hours. This does not much allow time to consider the menu and order, but I did not think it would be a problem. The starters were tasty. The mains arrived almost as soon as we finished starters. I assume therefore food is not freshly cooked and just reheated. The mains were OK . About 25 mins before our time was up, while we were still eating, the waiter arrived with the dessert menu and said we had to order dessert now, as we had to leave soon. He was very rude. It put us off our meal as we felt rushed. We decided we would go elsewhere to have coffee and dessert, where our custom would be more welcome. I got the feeling that if we had not finished our meal on time they would have carried us out!! I would definitely not return here. !!

We dined at Ivy Asia on Friday, March 28, 2025, to celebrate our friend’s birthday. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff were welcoming, which set a great first impression. However, the service throughout the evening was quite disappointing. After placing our orders, our drinks arrived, but one was missing, and we had to ask three times before it was finally brought to the table. The starters were delicious, and we were pleased with them, but things took a turn when the mains arrived. Two of us ordered the ribeye—one medium rare and one medium well—but the server mixed them up, and one even came out well done. Since we were hungry, we decided to just eat it but did inform the staff. Additionally, I ordered the beef fillet but was mistakenly served the ribeye. When I pointed this out, my correct order was brought later, but by then, the rest of the table was already halfway through their meals, leaving me waiting while everyone else ate. My son ordered the duck, which I had previously enjoyed at Ivy Asia, but this time, it was served extremely dry. It also arrived late, so he barely ate two rolls before we decided to take the rest home. When we opened the takeaway box later, we were surprised to find the sauce container and the wooden spoon placed inside the box, causing the sauce to spill everywhere. Towards the end of our meal, it became frustrating as we had to repeatedly ask the server (sometimes 3-4 times) for simple things like water, which took 15-20 minutes to arrive. Overall, while the atmosphere was lovely, the service was disappointing, and the food experience was inconsistent. Unfortunately, this took away from what should have been a special evening.

I like the classic IVY more than the Asia version. Although most of the food is decent if it was not for the atmosphere we would not enjoy as much. Our service staff was extremely distracted and we had to keep reminding ourselves. Classic IVY is my go to place whenever I want to play safe, but IVY Asia is not.

I recently visited this restaurant for a special occasion, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. I arrived 45 minutes late due to unforeseen circumstances, but instead of being greeted with professionalism, the front-of-house staff was incredibly rude. To make matters worse, I had brought a cake for the celebration, but they refused to store it in the fridge, citing a bizarre excuse about potential liability if something happened to me or my friends. Instead, they left it by the entrance, an unsanitary and careless placement for something meant to be eaten later. After arriving, we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our table to be cleared, despite having a reservation. Once seated, the meal itself was a disappointment—the food was bland and severely overpriced for what it was. Adding to the frustration, a brunette woman at the front desk approached us with an unnecessarily harsh tone, scolding us for using a light, claiming it was a safety hazard because people could fall on the stairs. The reasoning itself was questionable, but her condescending manner made it even worse. Overall, the lack of hospitality, poor service, and underwhelming food made this an experience I wouldn’t want to repeat. With so many great dining options available, I wouldn’t recommend wasting time or money here.

Eaten here several times: the best Asian food I’ve had in London, Stunning decor & design, friendly & efficient staff. Why a 1 star review? Because our starters and mains were served all at once, leaving my guest & I having to rush our eating to avoid the food going cold. This hasn’t happened on prior visits and since we were seated at 9.15pm on a Saturday with a 1 hour 45 minute window there can be no excuse about kitchen closing imminently etc. If I’m spending £175 for dinner & drinks for two then I expect to be able to enjoy the meal at my leisure which means a break between courses. It says ‘Starters’ & ‘Mains’ in the menu! Totally unacceptable and very disappointing.

Been a couple of times for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries…) The food is always impeccable, but the service is sometimes lacking (missing dishes etc.) Still highly recommend going here, and I would say that it is relatively well priced for the quality (especially the set menus)

It used to be one of my favourite restaurants in London but last time I was there the male waiters looked like they were high on drugs. Not only they behaved in a suspicious way and sniffled, they also kept forgetting about one of our orders. And the female waitress and the one of the hostesses didn’t look friendly at all. I feel like the service used to be better. This time I was disappointed. Not sure if I will keep coming here is the staff situation doesn’t improve. P.S after reading other reviews I can see that I’m not the only one complaining about the service. The management should take it seriously, this level of service is unacceptable.

Not a good experience and below other Ivy restaurants. You’re left to wait for your table at the door crowded together with other people. Service overall was poor and waiters were arguing with each other at every point. Food was very good but overall not a great experience, won’t be going back.

On a recent trip to London we made a reservation to try the Asian food within the Ivy group. We had a lunchtime reservation on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was really busy but we were seated and served promptly with a very friendly member of the team. The food choices were really good. We had a good selection of dishes and a few of the cocktails which were also very nice. Nice dining experience and highly recommended.

This really isn’t it for food or drinks. Every cocktail I had ordered tasted so watered down and quality was bad, I had to result in a beer. The quality of the food for the price isn’t justifiable either. Was a shame as I came here for my birthday. The inside is very pretty though. The cloakroom was also full and we all had to sit with our big coats which was not comfortable

Birthday dinner - special occasion not acknowledged at all.

I went there with my best friend, to celebrate my birthday and her engagement. We were extremely disappointed with a very poor service. In fact me and my friend were so unhappy, that we have refused to pay the service charge for the first time ever. And we dine often in different restaurants in London and also in different countries. The service was so bad , that I think I could get a better one in literally everywhere else. Probably even in McDonald’s or a kebab place. What is the point of asking people if they are coming to celebrate a special occasion, if you don’t plan to do anything to make them feel special in any way. Some customers were treated better, some worse. We have ordered many things, one of them was the wagyu beef steak, which is quite pricey, we have also ordered drinks and the desserts later. It was chaos. They were making mess on the table , not asking any questions and putting everything on the table wherever they wanted, which made me and my friend have to move everything around and reorganise the whole setup. No one ever came to ask any questions. Food was ok, tasty, but just lukewarm and very salty and greasy. Some thighs needed cutting, but no knife, just forks, spoons and chopsticks, so I guess the customers have to manage with using their teeth, to cut the food. Zero nice customer service, no care whatsoever, no special treatment, no nice presentation, no good service at all. Just nicely decorated place, but very crowded and loud. Atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant. After the meal we had to wait for a long time , until someone cleared the table. We have ordered the desserts, but after the waiter cleaned the table, he just left two spoons on the naked surface of the table, not even straight, no napkins, no serviettes, nothing and later brought the plates with the desserts. I’m not sure what I should have used to clean my hands or face after. No one has come to us once, to ask if we needed anything or if everything was good, no one was explaining or recommending anything from the menu, no one was even smiling. Everyone was running around like crazy. If you can’t handle to serve all the people you accept to have in the restaurant, maybe you shouldn’t allow so many people to come or hire more staff. We don’t recommend the Ivy Asia in Chelsea. The experience wasn’t worth £160 at all. Waste of money. Maybe Mayfair is better, I don’t know. Ivy Garden is much better and nicer for sure. We are not planning to come back. Thank you.

Hmmmm not an experience to be repeated. However, unfortunately I am sure the food may at some point. Chewy beef and stall so called Crispy wontons, we even gave them two tries at that and it was like eating a pack of off chirps. Atmosphere was totally ruined when the loud “Disco” music came from no where, more like a branch of Frank and Bennies than The Ivy.

Booked a table at 9pm for a birthday party of 10 people. Waited over an hr and still not seated. A group of 8 people walked in after and got seated straight away. Not happy with the service at all. Very unprofessional. The waitresses didn’t seem to care nor did they help to solve the problem. Spoiled a birthday party everyone was excited for. The bill came and we got charged for a bottle of Prosecco we got “complimentary” Not one apology from any of the staff. Not happy and will not be returning.

Had a table booked for 9pm. Got there early, as you do to be told the current guests have just ordered desert and that we would have to wait! Was left to stand in the corner and completely ignored like we were nobody's. Finally got seated at 9.55pm....yes we waited a whole hour. The food was good though which made the experience annoying.

Had the special Chinese New Year set menu offer. Although food wasn’t quite as authentic, the quality and freshness of it made up for it. Generous portion for 2 course meal. The staff remembered to treat me & my friend for her birthday with a complimentary sweet treat. Would go again for the set menu offer. Well done & thank you Ivy Asia!

This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere which is both relaxing and inspiring. We were greeted warming and the cloakroom service was an addition bonus. The food was immaculate, the best meal that my husband and I have ever had. A special thanks to our server, Amin, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. We loved his sunglasses, humour, and special attention to detail. We will be back!

We were booked for 1.30 for 2 and had the £65 per person experience menu. Food was amazing, but we asked if we could have coffee after and was told no as we were only allowed 3 hours there. It was 4.30 and tables were free so no one was waiting. Spending £200 + for our lunch I would have expected more.

Told they would only keep our table for 15mins. We arrived on time and kept waiting 20 mins for our table. Bit of an odd mix of people. Some dressed up, some dressed down. It was an experience.

An upmarket venue serving excellent quality asian meals

Had such a an amazing dining experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The cocktails and food were delicious and we loved watching the chef.
