The Italian Sul Lago in Milton Keynes

Great place and amazing atmosphere. If you like Italian food though you might be disappointed as it is not very original. I would suggest it for a nice day out for cocktails and starters.

Excellent food and an a beautiful restaurant interior. The pizza is some of the best available in Milton Keynes. The pins colada is to die for! And great service from Lorna. Five stars!

It’s my second time here. Might not be the last even if the food quality is not superb. The ambience and the location is spot on! I looove the entrance hallway, although still haven’t taken my mandatory shot. It’s giving lush vibe ♥️ Service is OUTSANDING! Lovely staff! Very accommodating! Both times we were here they always find a way to give us space no matter how busy they were 👏🏻✅🤗 First time, I had Sunday Roast, nothing special but its nice. My son had carbonara and my partner had Linguine Pomodoro they both said its too salty. I also ordered Calamari (which I always do, literally once I see it in the menu, my go to starter) its not worth the price, serving is too little. Well thinking its kind of a posh spot. Not bad. Second time I ordered Crab Linguine, I was excited since I love seafood. But man! I felt like eating salt, for real!! Good thing I ordered garlic bread with it. It made it edible. Such a shame that the saltiness ruined the dish. I was like am I eating literal SEAfood? But to even it out. We had such a lovely time regardless of the food. And topped it off with a lovely mocktail, I forgot what its called 🤔 looked pretty and tasted nice! I plan to try their pizzas next visit 🥰 looks delicious!

It is such a relaxing place to eat

Great view and you can admire the sunset with a direct view if you sit near the glass panel. We booked for a 1700 hours table and the restaurant was empty. However, somehow the table next to us was used for the next customer as opposed to other area in the restaurant and privacy chat was a bit limited. Otherwise, food in general was good but the pear crumble made up for the little oversight 😁. Oh the calamari was excellent 😋.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sul Lago in Furzton, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. The service was impeccable,friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight of the evening was the sea bass. It was cooked to absolute perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, flavorful flesh that just melted in my mouth. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully, creating a balanced and delicious meal that I’m still thinking about! If you're looking for a place with great food, superb service, and a lovely atmosphere, I highly recommend Sul Lago. I will definitely be returning soon!

The Italian Sul Lago in Milton Keynes offers a brilliant dining experience with its superb lake views, adding to the restaurant's charm. (Linguine with red prawns) is one of the best pasta dish I've ever had - coated in a silky, rich, creamy sauce. Succulent natural sweet tasting prawns to round off the dish with every bite heavenly. I was not impressed by this restaurant. I have been before and had great service and food. This time, though, everything was terrible. The menu is rubbish compared to what it used to be. The service is useless. My main meal came out 5 minutes after everybody else in our party, and only then when we had to ask. No apology at all. When the wine came out, I asked the waitress not to pour it as we still had drinks to finish from the bar. She totally ignored me and poured away, and hold me, it was her job to pour the wine, but never came back to the table to top the glasses up. I will certainly not be returning to this terrible restaurant.

We have arrived at 5pm, and even though the location closes at 7pm, they said the kitchen is already closed and we won’t be able to eat. The location is gorgeous and the lake near is perfect for after dinner walk. It’s such a pity..

Been to this restaurant several times but unfortunately I think it might have changed hands. Very disappointed with the food and the service was well below what we have had previously. We were a party of 4 and none of us were impressed. The calamari was dry and just tasted of pepper. The crab linguine turned into a game of find the crab! The menu just isnt as good it appears to have been reduced significantly. The whole vibe of the place is one of they're doing you a favour by letting you dine there...it appears to be very up itself, when in reality its sub standard in every respect we won't be returning or recommending

I had a decent meal and was admiring the great views of the lake when they were rudely interrupted by a large hairy man with a mullet playing a guitar and drinking wine on his own disturbing me, my children and everyone else outside. This is not the first time I have come across him at the restaurant.

Food and service great, however big man with mullet always sitting outside with a guitar. Disturbs other guests and ruined my experience.

We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we had a table booked inside , but the view outside was just so beautiful we ate outside and watched the sun go down good food and good service added to a brilliant evening .

We had a wonderful time on Saturday 14th September 2024. Our Waitress, Brooke, was beyond excellent in taking such good care of all of our needs. Two of us are Vegans and the other two are Vegetarians but she went through all of our options. She was so kind, cheerful and professional. Such a credit to Sul Lago. My daughter and I came for dinner and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was lovely. Staff couldn’t do move for you. The restaurant was so busy but because of how well it was managed you felt like you were pretty much only ones in there! Recommend booking to avoid disappointment!

Great food high quality nice view of lake. Nice portion sizes. We got the calamari, vodka sauce tagliatelle, and crab linguine. My friend and I came to celebrate a very special occasion. And we did enjoy it very much ! Only issue is service was extremely slow post-mains we waited 30+ mins for coffee and cake; saw others who came after us were getting their drinks and coffees before us after we had been waiting over 30 mins so we found that to be a little strange. We were in a rush after waiting and communicated that to our server and saw nothing was being done. Vella, another server, saved the day after seeing how long we were waiting for our coffees and brought them out in take away cups. To her manager know she did a great job and gave great customer service!

Enjoyed lunch at Sul Lago yesterday. I went for a girlie lunch with my friends and their kids and they let me order a dish that wasn't on their menu because I'm picky! Great portion sizes and good service from Lorna. Edited to add - I've just seen that they are running a 'kids eat free' offer during the summer hols, but we were charged full price for the kids meal.

A wonderful treat on the lakeside shore of Curzon Lake in Milton Keynes. Chilled vibes as soon as you enter a very well served restaurant, with enough space and privacy for a casual business lunch or romantic evening. The menu is simple and unitimidating, and the quality (and portion sizes) excellent. The fixtures and fittings are top grade, and a bonus for Milton Keynes, free parking!

Fantastic food today at Sul Lago. Not been before but heard great things. Turned up, had free parking (unheard of in MK). Amazing location and views on top of the hill overlooking the lake. I’m gluten and dairy intolerant and they gave me loads of options on the lunch menu. The food portions are great! You’ll never go hungry and most importantly the food is fantastic. Probably one of if not the best place to eat out in MK. Will certainly be going back next time I’m in the area.

Went last night for the country music. Best service I've had at a venue for a long time , the food was amazing. And the show was great. The whole evening was planned out brilliantly.

We arrived on time for our meal. I later received two emails telling me that I'd cancelled and was charged £30 cancellation fees.

The only shame of this restaurant was the food quality. Staffs were all amazing, efficient and attentive, great atmosphere as the restaurant is located right next to the Furzton lake which you can enjoy the beautiful sunset while you are having your meal. We came here on a busy Saturday evening and the staff managed to get us a table right away. Appreciate their hospitality during such busy time. We had two pasta as main: crab linguine and Tagliatelle alla vodka , the potion were big and presentation were on point. The pasta sauce was delicious but the pasta was OVERCOOKED which ruined the entire dish. We didn’t risk to order the tiramisu to-finish after reading through the reviews. I hope I could give this restaurant a 5 star review on my next visit.

The atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant is very nice, paired with the live music was very enjoyable. Ordered the Tagliatelle Pollo, which had a very tasty and creamy base, although the pasta itself was slightly underdone and the chicken was okay. The tiramisu, although looked very appealing but was not all that great, nor worth the price. The bread was dry, lacked the coffee like a typical tiramisu. The cream also just tasted like normal whipping cream. Overall okay restaurant. Prices are on the higher end, with decent food. Aesthetics and live music is always a plus.

Decided to try this place for the first time for my birthday and loved it, the food was absolutely gorgeous the atmosphere was lovely. Eve The waitress took pictures of us which were beautiful and she was very bubbly and kind I had a surprise birthday treat from the staff all round a very excellent and pleasant experience definitely will return. The service was brilliant, the lady that serviced our tablet couldn't have done anymore for us, unfortunately the food let it down. The starters were not what expected, some mains came out partly cold and bland and the onion rings and halloumi were super salty because of the batter. Also, the garlic butter was basically just butter, no garlic. I hate doing bad reviews, but the hype I had heard about this place I wanted to try it and was just so disappointed.

Service and atmosphere are superb. Best in MK. However, the food is below standard in quality and taste, like most of the UK basically. Cheap quality sold at high premiums. It ain't cheap here! Bruschetta for example is a joke, any Italian would be ashamed, it's just a toasted slice of bread with some tomatoes. Selection of wines is poor as well.

I came here for my birthday we wanted a nice evening, take our time and enjoy the food and ambience I’m vegetarian so the first thing I noticed not a lot of choice unless you want pizza or a basic tomato pasta, I was hoping for a nice risotto or a little bit more than tomato pasta We ordered a vegetarian sharing platter which was £20 and I have to say it was totally underwhelming I could have thrown it together for about £5 it was very basic and it just felt no thought had gone into it Very disappointing I then chose a vegetarian pizza it was nice but again very basic and underwhelming My partner had the steak which was £32 good sized plate but he chose medium rare and it was medium to well done definitely The biggest issue here was the service we were sat down in good time got our drinks but then our starter was out within 5 minutes they hadn’t even cleared that plate away and they bought the mains over we had our starters and mains finished within 30 minutes. We were so disappointed we felt rushed like they wanted the table back and if the food was amazing I might have been able to forgive this but the fact it was basic food I sadly will not be returning There are many more amazing Italian restaurants locally that do not rush the service and don’t serve overpriced basic food One positive is the venue and the ambience but sadly that is it.

Visited here for the first time with a friend. Have to say I was very disappointed with the food, and service! Ordered the Penne Arrabbiata, asked the waitress if anything came with it, she pointed me to the sides on the menu and said I could order anything else I wanted from the selection, so the answer was no! I ordered Pomodoro Bruscetta to accompany my pasta. When the food arrived it looked less than appetising! There was only enough pasta to line the bottom of the bowl for £16, the sauce wasn't tasty just sour. There was one slice of Bruschetta (£8), which was burnt and tasted bitter, there seemed little taste in the topping. When asked if everything was ok, I mentioned the very small portions of food, to which the reply was that the pasta portion is weighed out! I also mentioned that I was still hungry after having a starter and a main course! To which I was told if I wanted to see the menu and order more food!! There was no effort made to rectify the fact that they are serving small portions of food! Or any kind of compensation I am not a big eater. Finally we had deserts which was a better portion size! When asked again if it was ok, I replied well it was better than the starter and the mains! Usually when I go out for dinner I only have a main course and that is sufficient. When I got home, I had a cup of tea and some toast as I was still hungry after a 3 course meal costing (£40)!! I can safely say I won't be going there again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

Great restaurant for all celebrations. My birthday meal with close friends. Our waitress Lorna really looked after us and was very attentive. I also had a special Happy Birthday plate to finish off. Thank you Lorna. Hope you have a great birthday too in August xxx I will return very soon. ❤️

Over-priced and seemingly tasteless food. We pre-booked and we're given a tiny seat tucked away right next to the window, initially looked great but soon realised the glaring sun and lack of air con in this area made it a dreadful choice to sit, we managed to get another table and got our food quickly. Despite this food was warm at best and really lacked flavour. We paid £60 for 2 starters and 2 mains, no alcohol, I understand with the current economy you have to cover costs, but nearly £20 for pasta? Really? Waitress did ask us to explain why we didn't enjoy our meal which was great service, but just won't be coming here again.

Turned up with my family to have a meal to find a wedding party was there, with loud music and a party in full swing. I thought it was a restaurant, not a wedding venue!!! Won't be going there again in case another party takes it over....😡

My first visit last night, no reservation, I've been wanting to go here for ages ... it did not dissapoint ! The team were amazing and attentive but, left us alone to enjoy our evening. THe food was on point! Omg and the Pina Colada's were the best I've had in a very long time!! This is now my favourite place in MK! Absolutely, faultless ... thank you team for an amazing evening

Food was really nice and tasty. Atmosphere was very nice and surprisingly busy for a Wednesday. We booked so we got a table straight away. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nice for couples as scenery is nice. Family friendly.

This ambient restaurant in Milton Keynes was our family dinner night, and I highly recommend it! They are amazing! The food, the staff and especially their service. Vela was our main, Mason, Lorna, Callum and Brooke took care of us as well and everyone went the extra mile to let us sit past extra time, yet they were so kind. The pastas, antipasti and the burger, everything was worth it.

Held a end of term meal for my colleagues. The experience was fantastic. Sarah was amazingly supportive when sorting out the booking and so understanding considering I'd never hosted for a large group before. The team on the day were outstanding and despite my struggles were there immediately to help me manage the event.

Excellent service from Brooke, very busy shift but gave us all her full attention and was super attentive from start to finish. Definitely recommended 5* to the chef's for the exceptional food.

I’ve come here with my date and loved the views and the atmosphere. We had the arancini and a pizza. Absolutely loved the firewood pizza and would definitely come back again. The cocktail wasn’t amazing, but I think it’s more my tastebuds than the quality of the drink. Overall everything was great 🤩

A great experience, but didn't think the food was as good as the last time we went. Fishcakes were mostly potato other dishes were ok but not great. Service and atmosphere was good.

The decor and the view are epic. However, the food is below average, and the service is horrible. We were handed the menus on our arrival and were asked to go find an empty table outside. Then we had to go inside to order on the counter and pay immediately.

We visited Sul Lago again today after a lovely walk around the lake. We only ordered mains but the dishes took 40 min to arrive and sadly were not worth the wait. My spaghetti was bland and tasteless while the meatballs were as bad as they looked. Completely dry and leathery with a hard outer crust. It's a shame as the food on our previous visit was actually very good (and arrived super quick), a stark contrast to today.

Most enjoyable! First time eating here. The whole experience was excellent, especially the great friendly and personable service, which matched the quality of the food. Thank you.

Just a wonderful experience. The food was e joyable but for 5/5 they missed the wow factor for me but still a excellent dining or randevou spot. Live music also made this a good night.

Made a last minute reservation here so only space available was in the teepee but it was actually a better experience as it felt more intimate . I was shocked the the bill came to so little considering it was a group of 5 of us and we ordered starters ,mains ,cocktails including a steak dish .the server was SO polite and helpful with choosing what to order & parking all around the restaurant no hassle of where to leave the car . Will 100% go back but try sit indoors this time For a fancy view

Arancini felt like wheat dough, not risotto, and the filling was mixed in it not in the middle, more like a croquet. Pasta should be more al dente, a bit overcooked. The parmigiana was very good, great tomato sauce. Dessert was not good. The waiters took a while to come to the table, but food came fast Could offer more vegetarian options. Price was too high for what's offered

Went today as a pick me up, cheer me up meal. Was really looking forward to it as we both love Italian cuisine. Ordered pasta linguine and it was extremely bland. I asked for parmesan and then salt and still couldn't get the flavour out. Didn't want to ask for pepper or garlic but felt like something was really missing, also it came out warm not hot What a let down. Looked like there was 1server only in the entire restaurant. Also my friend asked for a medium steak but got medium well more on the well side. Veg was £5 and really not seasoned just charred and the halloumi sides was served in a large plate looked abit sad. Smaller bowls might have made it more appealing. For 2 people our bill with 1 soft drink, mains and sides each came to £76. Will give it another go but nothing to rave about here. I get better tasting food from Pizza Express.

Nice atmosphere and service was 5 ⭐️ but the bruschetta’s is not even close to my Italian taste. I went there couple of times and give a try it at least three times maybe it was just the actual chef mood but unfortunately not. The pasta was nice but pizza was only overpriced for this taste.

Really a shame, the food was tasteless, pizza burnt. I have been before and it was excellent. All 4 of the guests felt them same about their food.

So I visited once again, the menu has changed a bit since last year but I’m not complaining as always the food was insanely tasty and the atmosphere was incredible. We had the best seat in the house, facing out towards the beautiful lake at sunset. This place is perfect for a romantic date night or a classy catch up with the girls or boys.

If I had to give this a one line summary it would be don't waste your money. Now I'm not normally one for lengthy reviews but I think you need the context for the reason if that statement. Let's start with the positives: 1. The location - this is by far and away the best thing about this place. Top of the lake. South facing. Stunning sunset. For that it gets a star. 2. The pizza. Can't fault it the pizza was excellent. Great toppings authentic N'djuja. Cooked properly. £17 a pizza is a bit steep but for a tasty pizza and good setting then it's palatable. Second star. Unfortunately the positives stop there. Let's get to the reasons behind the one liner: The service - it wasn't the worst service ever, but it wasn't anything special. Slow to bring the menus. Ordered drinks, and a bottle of tap water. Drinks came but no glasses for the water. We only got those when we asked a second time. When taking the drinks order the waitress asked if we'd like olives and/or bread to start. We said we'd like some olives. They never arrived. She came to take the food order. Asked if we'd like starters to which we responded "just the olives please". It won't take Sherlock to guess that the olives never turned up. The mains. After being undecided about pasta or pizza I got a pizza (as documented above). My fiancée opted for the pasta, lobster and crab linguine. She wishes she didn't. Now I know what you're thinking... Lobster?! - but the setting is so nice we thought it would be the kind of place that could pull a dish like that off. It's not. Linguine tasteed of nothing on first bite. And then an extremely heavy lingering fish taste. And it hummed of fish. Those that know fish, will know that the fresher fish is the less it smells. So we can old assume that it wasn't very fresh. Certainly didn't taste it. I said the service was bad, we did have the opportunity to tell the waitress there was a problem because she did come over and ask if everything was good with the food. Problem is it was when we were mid way through the first bite. So hadn't had the chance to register what we truly thought of the food yet. 3/4 of the linguine was left at the end and none of the other staff that cleared the plates or brought the bill thought to ask if the food was okay. Wish we'd have said something but didn't want to dampen the evening anymore than it already was. To top it all off the bill comes to £57. For a pizza, linguine, single GnT and a pint of Moretti. Hopefully you can see why I summarised to the one line I did. I'm not saying never go. We might have just got a bad dish. So if you're willing to pay above average prices for below average food and mediocre service, all sugarcoated with a nice view then this is your place. If not, I'd urge you to go spend your money elsewhere. Or just come and have a cocktail outside.

The best Crab and Lobster linguine I’ve ever had. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Pattheri Alla Rustica as well. The staff were wonderful, particularly Sarah, the manageress and Osman who looked after us. If we lived locally we would be regular customers. Highly recommended!

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by Nicole during my recent visit. Her attention to detail, warm demeanor, and prompt assistance truly enhanced my dining experience. Second time we have been here. Overall impression is good. The food is nice and that's the main thing you'd want in a restaurant. It was busy and the service did lack in places ie, drinks took a while and were sometimes forgotten completely, we weren't offered parmesan on pasta but the table next to us was. They advertise a deal on local radio. We'd heard the advert that morning but they wouldn't honour it on the day. They said it had finished.... The deal appears to have been running for a few months and the ad has been heard every day since. It was still a nice evening though and would not out me off going back

Can’t fault this restaurant will definitely change me again, from starter though to coffees it was great, the waitress who took our order and surprised at her recommendation a burger was spot on for me. Rhe mai tai cocktail was the best I have ever had, which considering I have had them in India, Netherlands, Las Vegas, sanfrancisco, and Paris is saying something….. I had 2 :)

Terrible experience at this restaurant. Not a single ounce of customer service between any of the staff. Food arrived cold - blamed it on the kitchen and no offer to rectify. Would never go back!

Poor service shame really as the rest was quite good ordered drinks ten minutes later three drinks turn up and I was told mine was coming 20 minutes later I ask for my drink another ten minutes later it arrived and I clapped Thought the guy was going to hit me Just said it’s busy no apologies Your not busy your under staffed

We had a special anniversary dinner here. Great cocktail selection, we shared the chateaubriand (cooked perfectly and tasty veg too). Sadly we were too full for dessert, but can’t wait to come back. The ambience was perfect, there was a wonderful singer Deeanne who sang a mix of country and pop songs. Highly recommend!

A bit of a mixed visit! Beautiful decor and atmosphere, overlooking the lake and sunsets, even more special when they have live singers in (they didnt on our visit on Saturday). I came here last year and had the tagliatelle alla vodka which was incredible, so returned for my birthday and ordered the same. Unfortunately it was not as good - it was cold when served and the sauce had curdled, but I didn't want to make a fuss as it still tasted nice. I ordered tiramisu for dessert which was huge, but unfortunately it was quite tasteless. So venue wise it is lovely and I'd recommend for a celebration event or big group as there is a nice mezzanine areas you could take over. We were just disappointed by the food this time which was a shame, but could have been a fluke as it was great last time I visited!

The Italian Sul Lago - wow - what a meal. I have literally never heard of this place, walked my dog past a few times and today I went in for lunch - myself and my son were on our way to bletchley for whatever we fancied and this was an impromptu visit. The food was absolutely out of this world some highlights; Meatballs - not normal meatballs. Meatballs of excellence with beautiful fresh bread toasted on the chargrill throwing Smokey flavours everywhere. The meatballs were dense, extremely well seasoned and tomato sweet. Simple but absolutely delicious. Calamari - best fried squid we have ever eaten on all the continents. Gorgeous colour, melt in mouth and properly cleaned too - clearly fried in clean oil. Garlic butter chips - not what you expect. I thought fried with garlic butter - na - crispy and crucnchy covered in and almost sticky but still crunchy coating of Parmesan and garlic - next level potato. Service was on point and venue is buzzing - even for lunch. I would go as far as to say one of the best meals I have eaten in MK. Proper gem - get in there!

We went to Sul Lago for our anniversary dinner. My boyfriend travelled in to Milton Keynes from Norway so we had a table booked from 20:15 to accommodate his flight/train- this time is advertised on the on line booking form- when we arrived we were offered a drinks menu. We both commented on how nice it was to be able to pick a drink before being given the food menu. Once we had ordered our drinks we were given the food menu. They swiftly came with our first drinks and asked us for our food order. We weren’t quite ready so asked for a few minutes. The server said not a problem and left us to it. He then returned pretty sharpish asking for our order. We made a quick decision on the food and gave our order. Felt a bit rushed. Not even five minutes later our food was on our table. My boyfriend went to go to the bathroom just after placing our order and the food was on the table before he returned. When he sat back down we ordered another drink. I joked that if we blinked the drinks would be on the table. That was almost the case! Almost as soon as the last mouthful was had. Our plates were swiftly taken away and dessert menus put in their place. They came over multiple times asking what we wanted for desserts. No time given to properly look and decide really. Then we ordered the Bakewell cocktail to go with our desserts- this cocktail was delicious and tasted remarkably like a Bakewell tart. Whilst we were sat having our cocktails and desserts three different servers separately came over trying to take our plates and glasses- whilst we were still eating and drinking. Whilst we were having pudding. I overheard a waitress go to another table to take payment and they must have felt as pressured as we did to leave because I heard one of the patrons say ‘don’t worry. We’re leaving in a minute’ Once we had finished eating another server came over to clear the plates and glasses. My boyfriend asked if they were closed or could we have another drink whilst we waited for our car to arrive. The server said they weren’t closed- they clearly thought they were as the bar tender already had their coat on. The rest of the wait staff were sat at a nearby table. He said he would go and check. He returned and said that we could have another drink. I asked him if we were going to have everyone hovering over us waiting to take the glasses and for us to leave because I’ve never felt so watched and as though people are desperate for us to leave before. We ordered two old fashioned which were very tasty. The server who we had spoken to had obviously spoken to the other staff because they did give us a bit of a wider berth after this. We didn’t have a starter. Only mains and a dessert and yet we’re made to feel like we had outstayed our welcome pretty early on in our visit. There were people spraying and wiping tables down all around us. The staff were eager for us to finish so that they could go home. Our booking wasn’t even the last slot you can book on a Friday there. This was supposed to feel like a relaxing anniversary meal and instead we felt like we were being rushed through the whole process. I have looked back on my messages and I sent a message to our lift at 22:30 saying it feels like they want us to leave. It is advertised online that the restaurant is open until 23:30 on a Friday. Perhaps the staff are only paid until 23:30 and no later for clean down? That being said. They were all sat at a table waiting for us to leave by the end so clean down can’t take that long. I have spoken to a friend who has been since then on an earlier table and they said they had a lovely time and couldn’t fault it. Maybe don’t accept later table bookings if you’re not happy to accommodate. Having said all of this. The food was delicious and if you’re looking for tasty fast food. This is your place! Fast being the operative word.

Nice view and atmosphere, must try pizza and cappuccino

This is my second visit. Booked it for my birthday as I loved the food and the atmosphere and decor was fab the first time round. Was so let down and disappointed! This was my birthday lunch with my best friends who had driven quite a distance and arranged child care etc to come out. I was asked if it was my birthday, to which I replied yes, and was told I’d receive a complimentary glass of fizz, which never materialised? We arrived at 1pm, and finally began to eat at 3:30pm!!! We were told that our order didn’t go through when we asked what was taking so long, and that as a gesture of goods our drinks would be free (we were all driving so it was mainly soft drinks!) We were told we would be fast tracked, and when we saw other tables served before us again, we were addressed quite abruptly and in a very rude manner. The food once received was lovely, I can’t fault it The bill arrived, and mist drinks were free apart from a bottle of water, which I had to ask for it to be deducted as promised from the bill. Others celebrating birthdays received a free slice of cake, I got nothing, and we weren’t even acknowledged as we left. My day was truly spoiled. I felt so bad for my friends. Horrible experience 😔
