Great cafe with friendly staff and good food, large food selection and nice inside. Service with a smile

A January Saturday morning had a few errands to run - finished as quickly as possible , we had left home without breakfast and needed sustenance. The cafe was busy and warm. Found the last empty table and joined the queue to order - food arrived fairly quickly everything is cooked fresh and expected a bit of a wait, small breakfast with toast and a steaming mug of hot coffee just what was needed. Food was plentiful good quality and well cooked staff are friendly and professional larger breakfasts and sandwiches also available. We have stopped here for lunch previously and can recommend the steak baguettes

This cafe is a delight . An ideal place for meeting with friends, family or just catching a moment alone. The staff are friendly and welcoming . Good to see a fixed. Emu and different daily specials . Generous portions and healthy choices . The tea was just right and I’m very fussy ! A happy place - thank you

Had a lovely lunch here with my daughter. The cafe is very clean with a fairly good range of food. The food was hot, tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff are always very pleasant.

Good little cafe this place! With quite a variety to choose from (not just breakfasts) and prices for meals is brilliant for the quality and quantity of food! They also do homemade chips, which were gorgeous! We will definitely be back

It was 2pm and this was the only place that was still serving. I didn’t have high hopes with scampi and chips at £5, which was cheaper than the chippy, but I needed a late lunch. What a surprise!!! It turns out that this is the last place on earth which employs a cook who has retained the ancient skill of peeling and slicing a real potato to make fresh chips! Well done, just as good as my mum used to make. A generous lunch, nice peas and a pot of tartar sauce, no sachets, no plastic cutlery, no sticky table tops. Definitely a place to return to. A “Very Good” sticker for the owner.

We recently popped into the island cafe for a spot of lunch, we both went for the jacket potato with cheese & chilli which we were both surprised at the size and amount of fillings. Good food at competitive prices we will definitely be returning.

Live nearby but never tried this place. Popped in for lunch and I'm glad I did. A good menu plus specials. I had a pork chop. My photo shows what I was served with. It was well-cooked and delicious. Would recommend

This is a cracking place. Good size, great food and a fair price too. I really enjoyed my sandwich that was served piping hot. The staff are very chatty and smiling, the whole experience was lovely.

Popped in here for what was going to be a sandwich...but the food was so good we ended up having a delicious and superb value meal, the place was so clean too and value for money was so good, very friendly people that run it too.....will call again when in the area

Locally sourced produce, good hot food, the staff are very helpful and friend. If your looking for a Quick sandwich or a sit down meal try this place.

Myself and my husband had a takeaway breakfast I had a full English and my husband had a bacon and egg sandwich which was a triple decker and huge!, my breakfast in a box contained beans, mushrooms, hash brown, sausages, bacon , toast, tinned tomatoes and scramble egg it was huge ! Piping hot and very tasty - cracking breakfast good little find

Situated on the Island at Wollaston, can be a little difficult to park. Glad I managed to find a place as the food was very nice including the home made chips which were divine.Only slight criticism i make is that the cafe is slightly pricy, ie Cottage Pie and veg £4.95.

After being recommended by lots of locals we went for breakfast. Gorgeous quality food at reasonable price. Cooked fresh. Generous portion. Lovely staff. Will be making this a regular for breakfast and lunch. Well done to new owners 15 out of 10!

Ever since it’s been taken over it’s 100% better! The food is absolutely gorgeous. The staff are also very helpful and friendly, it’s a lovely welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning

We have been going to this cafe for breakfast,on Saturdays for a few weeks now and cannot praise them enough the delicious breakfast the friendly staff service and cleanliness is second to none.would certainly recommend the island cafe to anyone passing through or visiting Wollaston.

Enjoyed a breakfast and a cappuccino.. all reasonably priced. Lovely clean.cafe.staff are really happy to help and always cheerful. Have visited many times and always a great standard.

Great food at great prices nicely presented clean cafe. Very helpful and friendly staff Would highly recommend. Will be returning.

Flying visit with the kids to give them a sandwich which was fine. The place was a bit grotty and looked like it could do with a deep clean. Plates and cutlery clean but general fixtures and fittings not so much. The staff toilet we used wasn't that great either but ladies serving very friendly and accommodating. I don't want to seem harsh as wasn't expecting the Ritz but cleanliness is a necessity and a basic requirement of all food establishments.

Excellent breakfast venue. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Regular breakfast @ £4. Place smart & very clean with friendly obliging staff. Specialise in breakfasts & lunches. Will be calling again.
