The service is super, everyone is friendly with a smile, the fish is fresh, although I don’t really like fried in oil, but honestly I was delighted. The establishment itself is in a beautiful place, cozy. I recommend it to everyone! I will definitely come back, thank you for your service ❤️

Worst chip shop in my life , waited 20 min to order than 20 min for food for them to give it some one else then re do my food

Popped in for a cone of chips, £3.20, which in itself is extortion but then to say I can’t pay by card unless I spend a fiver. 🤯

The best chippy ive ever went to. Food was impeccable and my fish was cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and amazing service. It was really busy (unsurprisingly) and my food was served to me extremely fast. Nothing was missing and everyones meal was enjoyable. Ive been to 5 star restaurants and even the food there wasnt nearly as good. Definitely will be going again. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

They are the most idiotic. You order one dish, they serve you something else. Moreover, they displayed one price and charged you another. They are scammers. This is the third time they have done this. When you tell them they are stealing your money or it is not what you ordered, they pretend they do not understand English. They are filthy.. Instead of saying that I am banned from your filthy restaurant, you should admit the truth: the place is dirty, you don't even have a proper toilet, and your employees need proper training. You steal from customers by charging more than the displayed prices, and you can’t even serve the correct dish that was ordered. The previous management was excellent; compared to them, you are a disgrace. If this is how you cheat customers in your country, you should know that in the UK you are required to respect the law. There is absolutely no chance I would ever set foot in such a disgusting place again. I will also be contacting the authorities to request an inspection regarding your hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Two of three fish had virtually no meat inside burned batter. 40 minute wait despite fish sitting on hotplate. Savaloy cold and unpleasant. Very expensive, poor value. Doner kebab was reasonable. Attendant didn't know what mussels are.

Travel from shrewsbury once a month , went on easter monday ( took my daughter for the first time , saying how nice the food is , food was nice! but the service of the server was so so rude , will never go again !

Called in on Good Friday teatime, for a wedding anniversary treat, slight mix up with the order, which was soon remedied. The cod and chips were fresh and plentiful, and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

.Hard to park due to all thw Just Eat delivery drivers, long wait, due to Just eat colle tions. Short changed. Asked if I wanted salt and vinegar but clearly forgot and as she packed them out of view I wasn't aware until I open them in the car. Batter was flat and over cooked, fish inside solid. Loads of the chips were green. We won't eat there again. Terrible all round service

Feel Let down! This is not a complaint about the food, this was fine as always.As a local resident and a regular customer, I feel completely let down by the customer service tonight. As anticipated, it was busy as it was a Saturday night, but after 40 minutes, seeing people come and go with their orders, I asked where my order was. I was then sarcastically asked if I wanted my chicken raw. Although I appreciate cooking chicken can't be rushed, ironically this wasn't even the chicken I had ordered, that chicken had now sold out due to the people who ordered after me, but receiving their order before mine. After receiving our order, we then headed home to realise there was one meal missing. Again, although already annoyed about the above, I suggested my wife call down to notify them. At this point she was essentially told she was lying and we had definitely received the order. It was also put to us that it's not the shops fault as they were busy. Fortunately, what I assume was the manageress came on the phone and asked us to pop down and collect the missing meal. I appreciate and promote the use of young staff but would recommend that they receive some customer service advice as the way myself and my wife were spoken to was unacceptable. The customer is not always right but should at least be treated with some respect.

Ordered through Just-eat at 4:45pm to arrive at 6pm, I get a phonecall at 6:10pm which I missed, I tried calling back but no answer and 10 minutes later my order is refunded with the message "They're unable to make it" When I went back on Just-eat they were still showing as available to order from so I tried again, browsing the menu half the items we ordered were now unavailable, so clearly had run out. A chippy that ran out of fish and chicken kebab meat 3 hours before closing.... doesn't look good. Luckily another chippy was available and so we ordered from them and the food arrived promptly and all of a high standard, they definitely picked up the slack of others.

Food actually wasn’t delivered, in the end I went & collected it as the estimated delivery time kept getting moved despite a driver supposedly being assigned to it for ages. I’ve sent an email requesting a refund of the delivery charge & service fee

Just got scammed. Ordered fish small sausage chips and curry sauce x 2. They told us to move away from the counter till our food was ready. I know why now, they charged us for all items but failed to put the sausage in either box so when we got home what a surprise. Beware of being told to move away from the counter in this shop while your food is put together or you will miss out. why can't people make an honest living anymore? Shameful

Very VERY nice. The food was yummy and the sun was shining at the time. Overall it was nice. Although the food took quite a long time, it was worth the wait. I would advise this to people who are quite patient and love fish&chips + the staff were very nice.

First time ordering from Ironbridge Fish and chips and l must say we were very pleased. The large cod was so big and very tasty and the chips were also very nice. Nicely boxed and sealed in a bag. Definitely recommend and will use again 5*

If you're fancying some fish n chips whilst in Ironbridge on an evening, make sure you don't inconvenience the owner by having the temerity to turn up at 7:30pm because apparently they close at 8 and even if the shop is empty you won't be welcome. (Although they'll still sell you their leftovers at full price - without, peas, curry, gravy of course). I've been using this place for 3 years since moving to the area, tonight was the last time. I don't reward 💩 customer service.

We had a delicious fish n chips today great portions, mini fish for the smaller appetite n large for the more hungry person. Very friendly service, quick , can eat inside n dogs welcome 🐾. Car parking near buy. It's a stones throw away from the iron bridge with a few benches by the great war memorial.

Went for lunch and was very impressed with the food and service had the kebab and chips and couldn't finish it all as there was so much!!. Kind staff the boxed up the leftovers th take away. Highly recommended.

Great fish and chip shop,though it gets busy on a Friday night and during summer holidays. I am one of the Cleaning, Technicians for the local public conveniences, and I always use this great chip shop when I am in Ironbridge. Great staff and good prices.

I waited 3 business days for a cone of chips and had to order the curry sauce for delivery a week later. But in all seriousness... I have no idea why I had to wait half an a hour for a cone of chips.👍🏻

The fish and chips were absolutely delicious, crispy and flavorful. The staff provided excellent service, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever tried. Fish was dry and either left standing for hours or overcooked. Chips had been refried several times. On the plus side, the mushy peas were nice and the pepsi max was cold! The managers reaction to any negative comment is hilarious. Read the other reviews for entertainment!! I did not eat the food, the photo is of the food I left -virtually the whole portion. Hey ho. I am an honest reviewer, if they can’t take criticism they should cook nicer food 🤣

Great food served by welcoming staff in a clean, bright shop.

Fish was very crispy, they had ran out of scallops so gave me a drink. My cats enjoyed the fish too 😄

Had a mixed kebab here. The donor in the kebab was very salty but other meat tasted nice so I then needed a drink the staff couldn’t sell a drink as needed to spend over £5 to use the card machine found this very old fashioned and had just spent over £30:00 so think if it was even good customer service they could of gave a can of drink away - some places would. But anyway there was just no compassion. Also the bread the kebab was in was a shop bought pita bread. Over all the place is average. Also no toilets in the venue Change my review to 1* as the attitude & response to the review doesn’t deserve 3* also makes no sense

Went there and ordered zinger chicken burger and chips. Went to add on some drinks after ordering and they said drinks is less than 5£ and there is a limit for the machine of 5£! So you cannot order drinks! The burger was one of the worst burgers ever. Same taste as the one you buy frozen from the super market. The chips were oil flooding and taste like oil. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I can see the defensive answers from the owner to my review and other the bad reviews instead of trying to address what’s wrong and trying to improve, thanks for confirming my point of view regarding this restaurant!

Went with family to this chip shop.orderd food 51pounds.had to wait 40 mins and when it came fish wasn't cooked properly.gravey like water.floor slippy.table dirty would not be going back there again.gone right down hill .save your hard earned money and go over the road.much better and cleaner.

Customer service not very good not many peoples skills. My partners fish was overcooked. My cheese and onion pasty was put in the microwave and that was rock hard. Chips were very sparse. Not value for money or quality of food. Not going to bother with this chip shop again

The couple that run the shop were nothing but helpful, lovely and informative. The fish and chips we ordered came out really quickly. It was the best fish and chips we have ever had. The batter was awesome and the fish was moist. There were heaps of chips, we couldn't stop eating them. The scenery and balcony area was great too. 5 stars out of 5

Best chicken kebab wrap in the gorge !

Ordered chicken burger and chips which was written on the box but no chips, asked for lettuce on a kebab wrap and was sent with cucumber and no sauce. Unfortunately don’t think I’ll be ordering again.

Waited for a hour for them to start preparing the order. Ridiculous amount of time for ‘fast food’. Especially a chippy where everything is deep fried therefore takes several minutes at most to cook. We always give benefit of the doubt as it’s our local chippy and find it a shame to leave a bad review. The quality of the food is often hit and miss - sometimes it’s great, other times it’s stale and chips taste old. However what is consistent is each time, without fail, there’s items missing.

Ordered,paid, sat waiting looked at the app and it said delivered which as we were still waiting I found a little strange I phoned the chippy and their attitude was well as far as we are concerned it's showing as delivered so we can't do anything about it we eventually got money back but will not be using them again very poor service

ordered fish and chips and estimated time was within 30 minutes. however 90 minutes later the meal arrived. fish batter had gone soggy and chips were cold.

I enjoyed the food and was nice and hot, I had the option for a free item on my order but it disappeared at the just eat payment page so I wrote a note about it on the order and a very friendly lady from the chip shop phoned me back and asked what free item I’d like,great service will definitely be ordering again

Forgot to give me the sausage i ordered, but cant fault the quality or delivery.

The food was lukewarm and the drinks ordered weren’t delivered. When I queried it with the delivery driver all he could say was he wasn’t given them and to take it up with Just eat.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The shop was spotlessly clean and the fish, chips and mushy peas were absolutely delicious! 10/10 👍

Amazing they have high chairs for younger children the staff were really attentative to my child which i love and even gave her some sweets.

The chips were lovely and perfectly seasoned, and the sauces were great. However, the fish was slimy and not fully cooked. We went back and stated this, however they continued to insist that it was cooked. We ended up throwing the fish away. If you go, I would suggest just getting the chips.

Went on a little flat walk and stopped by for some lunch. Layla and Chantelle were our servers and honestly couldn’t have had a better experience with them! They were funny, kind and a great team. They allowed us to try the battered chips and they are definitely worth a try. Will be 100% visiting again due to them. Thankyou both 🤍

Favourite chip shop for miles around! Always lovely and fresh, not greasy and the portions are huge. Lovely to sit outside on the balcony on a sunny day overlooking the river. Staff are always very friendly too.

Gave this place a second chance, and regret ot deeply, once again rude management, two rude foreign lady's, bullying and belittling the staff, the food was OK but awful for how much I paid and how long I waited, honestley the owner needs to sort there managers put cause it's clear by the size of them that they spend all day eating the food, maybe that's why I had to wait so long

Put order in with the restaurant at 6.30pm and then our order time got pushed back twice to then not have pur order come at all we even tryed ringing the restaurant 4 times and just kept saying phone line was engaged. I'm not happy and they don't even deserve a 1 star
