A consistently well-poured pint of Theakstons, regardless of the member of staff serving it. Wine wasn't too bad either. Good atmosphere with views of the Forth Road Bridge.

We understand that this restaurant changed hands about a year ago, so this review pertains to the current management and cuisine. We used to go there which it was called The Moorings. We went to the Inchcolm Inn for the live music advertised and decided for convenience to eat dinner here, not knowing what to expect. The current menu whilst modest in scope and appearance totally underplayed the secrets talent that their new chef brought to out table. Apparently the menu will be extended soon. This chef had the magic touch on how to make the the ordinary sounding dish be memorable. Our party tried four different main courses after two tasty starters. Everything served was perfectly prepared, presented and both meat (a fancy burger and a chicken) and fish (sea bass and haddock) mains were juicy and flavoursome. What we unanimously felt made each dish memorable were the home-made sauces on every plate. A satay sauce with a difference with very tender chicken pieces starter, an edgy tartar sauce with the battered haddock and a naughtily indulgent champagne butter sauce underneath a generous potion of sea bass. The Haggis Bonbons as starter were melt in the mouth alternatives to the usual gastropub fayre. For what we got, the prices were very reasonable - surprisingly so. And after all that we enjoyed three spirited hours of live soul, blues and rock music with an animated young crowd of locals. Thank you to all! A great evening all round

Great service from moment we walked in, food was exceptional and all courses delicious. My only criticism and it is by no means negative, would be atmosphere as place was empty - but we booked early 6.30pm and I believe now the stop serving at half 7 as primarily a pub. I expect bar lunches is primary service, while evening meals secondary as most people will eat early. Would happily return though as food was lovely, service from girl behind bar was great and bar manager / barman both went out of their way to satisfy us. Kudos to the chef. Both of us cleared all of our plates. Highly recommend the food. Some may say rough around the edges (as a bar) - but cannot fault it.

Terribly nice staff and great service. They catered to my needs (I was backpacking through the area and was clumsy and tired) The fish and chips were outstanding, best I've ever had.

Booked here for food , arrived to a bunch of young ones sitting on tables , and no one in control. Asked if I could get food and the people behind the bar did not have a clue…..! I would recommend to avoid for your own sanity…!

Myself and my partner dined here for a Sunday meal. I had soup starter and my partner had stornoway black pudding. We then both had the roast beef dinner. The food was awesome. Best roast beef dinner we have ever had. The staff were excellent also. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will definitely return

We visited with our young daughter on a busy Sunday after seeing good reviews and it did not disappoint. I think at one point every single member of staff had came over to say hello or ask her dinner was or ask if we needed anything else. They were all extremely happy and friendly even although they were busy and not compromise the service that they provided. If it was absolute fantastic and one of the best steaks I’ve had. We are looking forward to going back and trying there Sunday dinner.

Super sweet, saving my dog from the one o'clock gun. He was so distracted with sweet dog chocolate that he didn't even notice the gunshot. The chocolate (for humans 😂) is incredibly good! And the milkshake is a dream.

This welcoming space was across the street from our hotel. Although service was on the slower side, it was made to order and very good. The restaurant was light and clean and a perfect place for a leisurely breakfast.
