Great food and atmosphere. Good selection of food as well as cakes and coffee.

Lovely atmosphere and staff, I just wish the food was better quality. The fish in the fish and chips was over fried and grey, which is a shame because there is a very good fishmonger just across the road from the restaurant.

Amazing. From the first sip of my flat white to the last morsel of lunch it was perfection.

Unfortunately, the food isn't as good as it used to be. It's generally lower quality (e.g. the chips were worse, the onion rings undercooked), but the prices are the same as they were before. This seems to be a recent change because I go every few months. I've added a comparison of the same meal a few months apart. The portions are still generous, the staff are still great and the venue is lovely. Hopefully, they will return to the old recipes. Until then, I'll be avoiding here. Previous review: One of my new favourite places in Glasgow to eat. The food quality is amazing. Portion sizes for dinner are generous. So, don't order too many sides.

£3 for a single cold pan au chocolat... Need I say more? It was one of the ones just lying on the counter as well.

My partner and I come nearly every week on a Saturday! The staff are always friendly and make you feel right at home -- the food is great and multiple options for vegans are provided (much appreciated!) If there was anything that could be improved, we had these delicious vegan almond croissants a while ago and they never made another appearance! If you get another order in, let us know and we'll buy the lot. The food also varies quite a bit week on week. The vegan breakfast can sometimes contain some... interesting additions! Like tofu or grilled vegetables.

We have had two breakfasts and one dinner at this charming bistro in the West End in Partick in Glasgow. Each time has been wonderful, the food delicious, the people friendly and the atmosphere lovely.

Service is awful. This place will go out of business due to the fact that waiters see customers and don’t bother serving them. Really poor

Was given a burger in a pitta bread, which might have been fine if I was asked and offered an alternative. Onion rings were undercooked, but the chips were nice. Staff were friendly but not attentive and didn't ask if we were enjoying/ enjoyed the food. Not terrible but wouldn't recommend

Don't know how many times I've passed here thinking it was just a small cafe or upmarket wine bar that didn't look like it had much space. So very pleasant surprise to find the lard loft space inside, great menu, friendly service and above all very good food and cocktails. Good to have well made and correctly balanced cocktail not randomly thrown together and fresh well prepared food. Fantastic and we will certainly be back.

my friend and I came here and we were shocked to see the state of things in this once well respected establishment. with a rude owner and poor ambiance we will not be returning.

Owner doesn't treat staff right. Making them work overtime with little experience. Not going back

Had a nice brunch, staff friendly enough. However cleanliness needs to be reviewed. Had to pick hairs off my seat. The floors looked as uf had not been brushed or cleaned for at least a good day or so. Been in a few times and always noticed the floor always requires attention. Today was especially noticeable. Such a shame.

Just a couple of beers. I was on alcohol free but friends had IPA. Quiet evening as we were looking to chat. The bar staff were excellent. It was a football night so it was only over the sound system which was a bit pointless when it came to the post match debrief. Other than that, ideal local community oasis

I decided to have breakfast here. Probably the worst Eggs Royal which I ever tried, sourdough bread is so hard to eat ( as a stone),seems they didn't want to put any sauce on it , so poor quality. Coffee is the same story , you can't drink it, only after 10-20 minutes, because you can burn your tongue. The staff is another story , I feel that I'm not welcome there at all. No smiles from them, unhappy faces .

Solid enough neighbourhood restaurant. The burger and hand cut chips for £12 is pretty good value. Couple of draft beer options and usually have a large selection of Williams Bros bottles. Not a fan of dogs in restaurants and the waiting staff often seemingly forget about the upstairs seats.

Stopped by after a walk on a sunny Sunday. We sat outside and had a drink to the sound of really pleasant chilled beats. A really lovely vibe with friendly and polite service. They have treats for dogs available as well as people food. It hit the perfect note for a place to stop off. I'd love to return and linger so I can give it the extra star it most likely deserves.

A regular pit stop for us over the years, which never disappoints - whether brunch, lunch, a quick coffee or an evening drink. We just keep coming back. Such a perfect place to sit and watch west end life. On this lunch stop we had halloumi open sandwich with avocado, on sourdough, served with fries; and french toast with maple syrup, berry compote and yoghurt; plus a flat white each. Absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients and generous portions. Another perfect lunch. Thanks Peckhams! And dogs are welcome 🐶 👏✅

Was such a great place when 1st re-opened. However today was a completely different experience. Waited 10minutes for a menu, another 15 mins for drinks, soup was cold. Table dirty, food waste underneath seating. Saw a couple walk out, and another asking for a menu. Definitely will not be returning, such a shame as use to be such a good place for brunch/lunch.

Lousy, dour service and the food is completely mediocre. It has a poorly ventilated open kitchen that makes the place constantly smell like a canteen. Avoid.

We come back every month to have a relaxing quality time. Food portions are generous and of great taste. Staff is attentive and professional. Definitely our preferred breakfast/brunch restaurant in the area.

I had the vegan curry and brought my dog, who was pampered and looked after by staff without batting an eyelid. The food and service was lovely. The fairy lights definitely add some warmth and ambiance. My only criticism is that we were cold enough to keep our coats on. Some candles or a bit more heating would have made this visit perfect. Difficult to heat a building with such huge windows in this economy, so I do understand why. Would still return but might wait until the sub zero temperatures dissipate.

Really nice venue to meet friends and hang out drinking fizz and eating good food. Very much enjoyed the tofu steak and big balls cous cous. Also it was great that we were able to book last minute and get a table. Helpful and friendly staff. Went in for Christmas dinner with friend and it was lovely food and staff as before, but absolutely freezing!! If you are going then wrap up warm....to be fair it was -4c outside so hard to heat a non insulated building ❄️ Update. Another nice meal there...heating was on and only a bit draughty.

Came here with five adults and two older children to have a quick meet-up brunch with my old uni friends whilst in Glasgow, visiting from Australia. It's a great old building that's been kept well. The food is great (although I miss black pudding and tattie scones in Sydney, so it may just be tastebud memory). They could have done with one more member of staff and a notice (I may have missed it) that although you order at the table, and it's waitress service, you pay at the cash register downstairs; Gave us a bit more time to blether though. Food was smashing, although poached eggs could have done with perhaps a minute less. We all had food and two drinks and it came to a hundred quid. Compared to the equivalent in Australia, this was a massive bargain and I got to say "No, no, I'll cover this." Staff were super helpful - one star miserably taken off for a couple of us being picky about the eggs but very good and not overpriced.

If mushrooms on toast that taste like vinegar and not much else - or a dry and salty eggs benedict - is your idea of a good time, this is the place to go. Underwhelming, severely overpriced, disappointing food taste.

On edge of West End in a move neighborhood...calm, chilled and good selection of beer and wine

If you're going to sit out don't sit around the corner. You are near a bottle bin and the noise of smashing glass every 5 minutes isn't so relaxing. Friendly staff. I got the spinach and tomato sloppy Joe which was nice and a such a big portion I asked for part of it to take away. Unfortunately they gave me this in a paper bag and the sauce leaked so now I have spinach all over my car.

Was a bit quiet so not much atmosphere but staff were friendly and helpful and the venue is really nice and cosy.

A local gem. Always an excellent experience with friendly staff and great food. Stopped in for brunch today, Scottish breakfast was delicious and the Eggs Royal was perfect. Glad to see this place going strong where so many others are falling by the wayside.

Reasonable food, very nice atmosphere and good service despite our large group. Probably best to come for a drink and snacks - the starters have the size of a generous mains!

Am glad this place is still on the go. Nice indoor and outdoor seating area and good coffee and cake. Staff are pleasant also. Sadly the burger reviews here are probably accurate. It’s not very refined though it looks good initially. It’s like an overcooked frozen thing on a really doughy bun and the hand cut chips are just giant fragments of potato which are not well fried and are kinda tasteless. A lot of food. Onion rings are excellent.

The staff are lovely and helpful but they’ve got a bit of a challenge serving in the Hyndland Fox. The teapot came with a disposable cup lid on top and when I looked around, all of the other tea pots were the same. The tea pots have been breaking in the dishwasher. The pot I was served had a chipped spout. Staff were lovely but really the management should sort that out. Also the place does look as if it needs a good clean. Really dissappointed as the brunches in there used to be fab. Food was ok and not my go to for brunch now 🥲

Good menu and service, dog friendly.

Not came here for food yet but they do a brilliant comedy night every second Sunday of the month which is a great time. Will definitely be in to try the food as the menu looks delicious (Cullen skink with truffle? I'm into it)

The atmosphere is good. Had the mussels on special there wasn’t a load and they were on the cool side but the masala sauce was amazing. My dining partner had the mushroom soup but wasn’t blown away with it. Main course was fish and chips which she declared was fantastic. The soup and fish are huge portions so be warned.

Went in last night (Saturday) at two mins past 9pm. The girl behind the bar advised us that as they were quiet they weren’t serving anymore and were closing early😳 We were gobsmacked. Closing at 9pm on a Saturday, strange way to run a business 🤔There were three tables of people that we could see downstairs. We also then noticed that all the window tables had their stools placed on top of them as if they were already closed. Not very nice for the customers who were there. We left and went to Epicures where it was lively (probably with customers turned away from the Hyndland Fox) with a friendly atmosphere. Ended up having a lovely night there.

Good for a cuppa in the afternoon, and looks as though it will be good in the eveing also with what looked like a well priced menu

Fabulous soup but a tad expensive

A group of 6 adults & a toddler and a baby last Saturday about 10.30am wanting mainly coffees plus a croissant, scone and toast. (coffee luke warm and croissant still chilled) The space was cold, had to keep our coats on, the staff were pleasant enough but the service was so disjointed and slow -90 minutes later and just shy or £50 we left having witnessed the "chef" snapping at the waiting staff. Could not recommend. Will go elsewhere in future.

Lovely laid-back vibe in bohemian decor on the first day of the cold snap. Food sensational. Coffee terrific. Will return soon.

Popped in for a quick coffe but decided on a hot chocolate. Must admit that it was the best hot chocolate I tried. Very well balanced, the right temperature and thickness. The place is really nicely decorated and the team is lovely.

After a wonderful walk around Hyndland I decided to go for lunch and went into this lovely place . The staff were very friendly and attentive . The food was lovely . I went for the eggs benedict and it was very tasty . The bacon was really crispy and the hollandaise sauce was great . If you are in the area then do pop in for food . You will enjoy it .

The service and ambience is very good. We were greeted and shown our table when we arrived. It was great to see the Hyndland Mary was back on the menu which is one of the best Bloody Marys I’ve had. The food arrived and was nice with no complaints however the menu has been stripped down and is very limited. The price difference in the grill section was hard to ignore as you have an option of a burger for roughly £12 which then jumps to a £30 Sirloin Steak! Having an intermediary option on a Wednesday night might be a smarter option to have.

I think the Hyndland Fox is a West End hidden gem! The food is very tasty with generous servings. The chicken skewers were delicious! Defo would recommended to anyone. Staff very friendly as well. 5 stars from me.

Had a lovely time at the Hyndland Fox today with my daughter. She had Toast, avocado, bacon and poached eggs and I had soup and crusty bread. Delicious washed down with a tea and coffee. Shannon and Atany were very pleasant.👌 Will definitely be backed.

The staff & service here was wonderful. They were both friendly and would rectify any issues we had. Unfortunately, the full Scottish breakfast that was supposedly 'cooked fresh', was extremely dry, and most of the meat seemed to have shrunk into a small dehydrated morsel. Normally I wouldn't complain but with a £10 price tag it's not exactly fair. Regardless, the other meals that were available for brunch looked far better, but I think the full breakfast needs some work.

Usually a regular at nicks and epicures but decided to try elsewhere since nicks recently closed. Good choice in going to the Hyndland Fox tonight. The young man was excellent and really knew his stuff about the wines. Very good service, even as he was doing everything by himself! Older older colleague was sat chatting behind us for a good half hour and on her phone on the restaurant floor which was quite unprofessional. Good atmosphere though and will likely be back

We had just arrived in Glasgow and getting our bearings, walking to one place for breakfast and happened upon this place. Extremely friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast, warm and light when outside was cold and dreck

Went in here yesterday with my fiancé because we wanted to try out this place. I ordered a Hyndland burger which was vegetarian. Service was really nice and welcoming. We waited for almost 40 minutes for the food, and it wasn't really busy with customers. Maybe 2 or 3 tables. When I finally got the burger, it was a huge disappointment. The fries was like the cheap and simple ones you get at the grocery store, and the burger was tasteless. I had to return my dish because the bun roll was burned black on all sides. When I finally got a new bun roll, it was not heated at all, just less black burned grill marks. This dish could have had a lot of potential if it was made right. I'm not a chef, but I could have done this much better myself.

Popped in here whilst viewing local property. Great welcome and service. The food was really good. Stuffed mushrooms starter was v tasty. Cauliflower curry was AMAZING. All washed down with a pint. Reasonable prices. And good service. Would go again.

Situated in a mainly residential area, this restaurant has lots of character and the staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Myself and my husband visited this afternoon for lunch. The atmosphere was nice, and service was extremely good. The young girl who served us was friendly, efficient and personable. She recommended a vegetarian option for myself which was very good. She remembered to bring our coffees after our meal as promised, and took time to chat. We even told her colleague (? presumed manager) that the girl was very good at her job.

The atmosphere is lovely and I expected good things.. We ordered a beef roast dinner, soup and pigs in blankets sandwich and a fish and chip buttie. After a very long wait, firstly we got given fish and chips rather than a buttie, which I presume was then cut in half to serve in bread. Then the roast beef was awful. My brother didn't even eat it as it was so dry and cheap. The veg was average and the Yorkshire pudding was undercooked. The soup was lovely but then I had eaten most of my sandwich to then look at the stuffing in the sandwich which was raw... I sincerely hope it was cooked as it looked like completely raw meat. I also paid for a whole sandwich but only got half with the soup. The staff serving us were lovely but it was a very disappointing visit and most likely won't be back unfortunately.

The staff were lovely chatty and very friendly but when my friend came to join us with her small assistance dog we were told ‘company policy is strictly no dogs due to hair’?! Seriously all of us had more hair than Henry! Maybe a review in policy is required?

We booked in here Friday night and sat upstairs its wasn't overly busy. We had a vegan with us and she was accommodated but I do object to charging a £ for vegan cheese!!!! My tortellini was lovely and different beetroot and goats cheese and the tempura was delicious not bad for 5 including wine £125.45.

I paid £11 for soup and a sandwich. I also didn't get much soup and the sandwich was cut in half. The sandwich didn't taste very good either as they decided to half toast it then fill it with wet ingredients so I ended up with soggy toast.

Whistle - stop tour de West End swingparks nos llevó a tomar un trago rápido de camino a casa. El amable servicio proporcionó un tónico bien mezclado de ginebra y flor de saúco, que a mi otra mitad le encantó. Realmente disfruté mi pinta genial de Camden Hells también. Aunque por encima del promedio, 10. 50 valió la pena 30 minutos de descanso de un niño demasiado cansado que permaneció dormido en su cochecito.

Vine aquí con dos amigos para mi cumpleaños y la excursión fue fantástica. El ambiente era encantador, la comida era deliciosa, y el personal nos dio un prosecco sorpresa cada uno en la casa, ya que era para una ocasión especial. No podría recomendarlo lo suficiente!

With so much change happening in West End eateries, and much of it not for the better, is is great to spend some time at the Hyndland Fox. Really friendly,welcoming staff and a great atmosphere about the place. Love it.

waited ages for someone to take order food look warm bacon had been cooked folded which I found very strange meant to have been sourdough bread but thick crusty bread we got our tea and coffee served straight away but food took ages to arrive so was cold by that time so ordered more tea.

Tuve una gran experiencia, el personal fue muy amable y el hombre que nos atendió fue muy agradable. ¡Cortésmente pedí comprar una de las gafas de la cervecería Camden y me sorprendió cuando me dio una! El scran era el pico scran también. Full yas 10/10 lo recomendaría.

Visité el almuerzo y tomé el desayuno escocés completo con huevo revuelto. Una rebanada de tocino, morcilla y haggis, un extraño bollo de papa, una mini tina de frijoles, parte de un hongo y una gruesa rebanada de pan. El huevo revuelto debe haberse hecho con un solo huevo. Un poco seco en general y he tenido mucho mejor por mucho menos.

Un título bastante extraño, pero lo resume todo. Mi compañero tenía huevos revueltos, salmón y masa madre tostada; el huevo estaba seco, el salmón no estaba fresco y la masa madre no estaba tostada. Tuve feta, masa madre de huevo con tocino. No era particularmente sabroso y el plato de comida estaba muy desordenado. El servicio era decente, pero este lugar no ofrece un desayuno agradable. Se espera que ordene, coma y comience lo antes posible. Por cierto, el café tampoco es genial!
