Pub outside central London but characteristic and delicious, recommended if you are in the area. Practically the only restaurant that also does Sunday roast in the evening! Really excellent. Friendly staff and fast service. Unfortunately I give 4 stars because most of the dishes were sold out, better to book in advance. Average prices for London, slightly high but well spent. I would happily stay here again :)

My wife and I went in for a Sunday roast, it was her first. The food was amazing. The scotch egg was the best I’ve ever had, and we did a chicken and a beef roast. Both were great, we enjoyed the chicken one the most. We had a few cocktails as well, all great. But the standout part of our meal was our server George. He was attentive from the moment we were sat, and gave great recommendations as well as just general conversation. I’ve been in London for the past week, and he was the highlight of my dining experience thus far. Can’t recommend Hunter’s Moon enough.

Hunters Moon is my favourite place in London to grab a drink and some amazing food. The bar snacks are always on par and the A La Carte menu never disappoints. There is always a buzz in the evenings with a great sense of community - from families to couples on dates or friends simply catching up, the staff always have hands on deck and make this ship run smoothly. It is my number one go-to spot when recommending dinner or lunch to friends, family and clients. I’m excited to visit again.

I think the Hunters Moon serves the best roast in London, so delicious. However, I found out from talking to a waitress that was leaving that none of the staff get the service charge/tips. It goes straight to the owner! I find that highly disappointing and I really don’t agree with it. Sadly it has put me off going back.

Visited in the evening. Enjoyed the starters of foie gras pate and asparagus but didn't love the cod main course. Thought the pieces of cod were very small and the potted shrimp butter sauce had an odd flavour and it was very oily. The chilli margaritas were fantastic.

Came here for Sunday roast before a movie at the French cinema. We both got the beef and shared honey-glazed carrots. Really great flavors (horseradish!). Reasonable price for the amount of food. But what sticks with me is the service. In almost 2 years living in England, this was maybe the best service I ever received at a restaurant. Just the right amount of attention and friendliness made us feel special, and they were totally cool with us arriving late for our reservation due to train issues.

It served its purpose - like any port in a storm - but I'll go elsewhere next time I'm in the locale. It had the aura of fine dining rooms but the "pub" bit felt tacked on in the leftover space as a holding area for waiting diners. A couple of pints of very off beer were swiftly replaced, but never should have been served in the first place. The potato chips are however spectacular but the volume of the TV 6 Nations Rugby needed muting. There were very few punters watching and the din made it uncomfortable for the rest of us.

Closer to two and a half stars than three. We came in for a Sunday evening dinner for 4, arrived on time/a little early to our reservation and were seated and given drinks pretty promptly, but that's about where the good service ended. Courses took ages to come out, and when we asked the server (who was attentive to every table except ours lol) we were kind of condescendingly explained that courses take 15-20 minutes to come out. This would be understandable if we had not already been waiting around 30 minutes before calling her to ask, and then after being told the wait time was 5 minutes more, having to wait another 20 minutes. The dining room wasn't even full, and we saw three tables get seated after us and get their food and even leave before we were served our mains. The food itself was okay, we each got a roast (sirloin, lamb, and pork belly) and some sides. The best dishes of the night were the duck salad starter and the cauliflower cheese side. Unfortunately the lamb was mostly fatcap and not super palettable to finish, and the sirloin came a little dry when it eventually did show up. Their cocktails and mocktails were good. Overall, I would try somewhere else for dinner/British sunday roast, or maybe we just had an off night there. One of the more negative experiences we've had for the price point and review ratio, especially in service levels.

Amazing Sunday Roast! If you want to show someone visiting what a good sunday roast is then take them here! The beef and the pork were both cooked perfectly, really juicy and the pork had a nice crispy base; the potatoes were gold and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they didn't skimp at all on the sauces and gravy. Portion was a good size too. Save space for desserts tho because their desserts are out of this world as well. The sticky toffee pudding was the best we had ever tried and I really want to come back to try the other things there (olive oil ice cream, chocolate and peanut butter bar, crumble as a special). Had previously today complimented (on my Facebook page “Cask Ale Pubs CAP”) The Hunter’s Moon, 86 Fulham Road, London SW3 6HR - but then deleted my post after subsequently experiencing today a surly barman who refused to replace my end of barrel pint of Wye Valley HPA with a pint of Wye Valley Butty Bach (both at £5.50 per pint!) without charging me for a new pint! I called management who eventually replaced my pint - but not with good grace! (Real shame as both myself and my wife liked the place and I had built a convivial relationship with the previous barman and manager). We were going to stay for dinner but we repaired elsewhere and will never return after such appalling customer relations! Beware!

Don't be fooled by the Hunter's Moon's low-key exterior. It's not just another pub — it's a real find. Inside, there's this cool, dimly lit bar with a great choice of fancy cocktails and top-shelf spirits, plus loads of comfy sofas and chairs. At the back, there's this snug little restaurant that feels just like being in someone's living room, serving up amazing seasonal dishes. Is it a Gastropub or a restaurant? I do not care, but it is an excellent hostelry! My wife drank the house white, which was an excellent Macabeo and my pilsner was crisp and full of bright flavours. My White Garlic soup was superb - with a slight flavour of cauliflower. We both selected the Chicken Haste (?) which can be loosely described as cubes of chicken, roast potatoes and sausage meet, delivered with an excellent sauce. The service provided by Sa and her colleagues was friendly and professional and the whole atmosphere was smart and comfortable. Many thanks guys, you know how to run a great gaff! Cheers, Alan

You wouldn’t know from looking at it, but this is a small pub that has a brilliant restaurant at the back. You can have bar snacks - the Korean Chicken bites are a 15 out of ten, but the new Sriacha Tempura Shrimp is a challenger. But the food in the restaurant is tip top. They do a scallop raviolo which is awesome, and the Wellington was off the charts. There’s other great items on the menu - tuna sashimi and the liver parfait are great starters, and there’s always a butchers special that’s tempting. I have to make special mention of the service - Sam and Jocette are delightful hostesses who are attentive without being intrusive. They also know how to offer guidance around the wine list, which is a bit of a treasure trove. In one sense the Hunter’s Moon is a local pub with desperately friendly hosts, but it shields a really amazing restaurant. Would recommend.

Came here for Sunday roast. The beef was freezing cold when it came to the table. The chicken was dry and chewy. Very disappointing. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, they did not handle it well. Because the food was not eaten, we inquired about a dessert. The manager was very rude and said, Why would you even want anything else from us when you are so unhappy? It was quite shocking, really. We ate here on a Saturday evening, a little early, so it wasn’t a full buzzing atmosphere at the time, but it was a nice setting nonetheless. The waiting and bar staff were friendly, but mostly very young and with that, ever so slightly awkward; there didn’t seem to be a confident commanding presence in the dining room. I ordered the Celeriac velouté to start, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the burrata dish, which was also good, can’t go wrong with burrata. I went for the special partridge dish for a main, my wife had the girolle tagliatelle. I really struggled with mine, it was painfully rich, and the addition of foie gras boosted that tenfold; it all felt a bit self indulgent and I think losing the slightly old fashioned foie gras and complimenting the rich dish with some pickled veg or roasted beets, something acidic could have made it a really nice dish. My wife’s pasta was also rich, but was polished off! For dessert we ordered a chocolate fondant and a sticky toffee pudding. Sadly I found the sticky toffee pudding inedibly sweet. I’ve never eaten something so sweet it made me grimace before, it was almost like something went extremely wrong and no one noticed before serving. The pudding itself was also very dense, pale and bland. The chocolate fondant ironically could probably have done with more sweetness and it was swimming in chocolate sauce to begin with, which took away from the magic of breaking the fondant open. The menu comes with some serious prices attached, and I think perhaps the owner throws lots of truffle flavours and foie gras in there to make up for that, but overall, other than the decent starters, it was all quite disappointing.

Our return visit to The Hunter's Moon exceeded our already high expectations. The service was warm and attentive from the start, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. We decided to try the cauliflower cheese and cod dish, which can be a challenge to flavor, but here, the chef nailed it. The cod was exceptionally flavorful, and the creamy cauliflower cheese complemented it perfectly. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was the highlight of the meal. It was warm, moist, and drenched in a rich toffee sauce, making it a must-try. The drinks were also impressive, with well-crafted cocktails adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The Hunter's Moon remains a top choice for delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Been here 4-5 times now, and can say that with a new manager their menu has become concise but varied, and really well executed. It’s technically a pub, but in this part of Chelsea it’s anything but pub grub. The bar snacks are tip top - the Korean Chicken alone is worth the visit, and the beef croquettes are fab. In the main restaurant, the duck salad and the feather blade were top of a competitive list, closely followed by a fresh burrata and a Cod with N’duja risotto. They seem to specialise in steak cuts and friends have really enjoyed them, such as aged ribeyes. Super service gets the right mix - friendly whilst not intrusive. It’s not cheap, but for this neighbourhood it’s certainly not outrageous. Can recommend and will come back again.

It is more of a restaurant, than a pub with a dining room. The decor was over-styled for my taste. The service was willing and pleasant but the waitress walked around the room without ever looking up to see if guests were trying to get her attention. It surely can't be that hard to train people to look around them. My date arrived after me, gave my name and was told to wait in the small bar area. She was there for over 20 minutes despite my telling them I was waiting for someone and being almost the only guest at that point. The food was nice but not really memorable. To start, the beer selection is excellent. I would continue to come back for that and the triple baked chips(fries) alone, but then I had dinner. The braised beef shoulder(featherback) was perfect, with accompaniments highlighting the sauce that brought it all together. The sauce was as rich as a croissant and as thick as motor oil. The Hunter's Moon in deepest Kensington is great. Perhaps more of a restaurant than a pub but that is not entirely fair, serves beer, both cask and keg...there is a bar and I had a pint! However, there is a clear excitement about the food menu ranging from scratchings to Exmoor caviar with blinis and a sauce Gribiche. There is also an Aga in the back room, maybe nuclear powered though, not sure. A great place, clearly somewhere to eat and not just drink.,.next time. Loved it.

We dined in and ordered the full portion of the duck salad, with grapefruits and pine nuts. The bottom line is that we were disappointed in the quantity of the food. It seemed like you would need a microscope to find the food. Otherwise the atmosphere was nice.

BEST Sunday roast in London! Superb food and brilliant service. It’s our go to restaurant in South Ken, we are always made to feel welcome. What a gem of a place.

Have eaten here a couple of times and excellent meals both times. Attentive, friendly service, great (Butty Bach) beer, seriously good quality and unpretentious food. Highly recommended.

Brownie Box delivered brownies to my mum I ordered 2 days ago. I had a lady text me asking if I wanted to add a message to my order with no extra cost which was so sweet and made the present perfect.
