Having booked tickets for a matinée performance at The Royal Albert Hall, we decided to have a light lunch at this café beforehand, as it's less than a 10 minute walk away, yet away from the pre show crowds. The menu focuses on a range of Italian specialities - my wife and I shared the wild boar tortellini and an antipasti board, which were both delicious, freshly made and efficiently served. For those who don't have time for a sit down lunch, there is a delicatessen on site, with a wide range of mostly savoury treats that looked very appetising. Recommend.

I am told the food here is good, and maybe it is, but when we arrrived for a pre-theatre supper, booked on Facebook (which is all they offer), they were just closing, having decided to close an hour eartly. I booked in November for a 6pm supper on 22nd December, and recieved confirmation via facebook (good response at the time). But when we arrived they denied any booking, and although apologised that did not really solve my problem. I had picked them especially to demonstrate good italian cooking to my guests, who were as you can imagine not impressed.

This is a small deli shop, with a few tables. We had a very early dinner, as it was opened only until 7.00PM. The dishes were good and tasted as they should (not the English interpretation). The pasta has been well prepared, which is difficult to find in London. The service has been friendly, but had a note of improvisation. In conclusion, if you want a little bit of true Italian flavors, in an unsophisticated setting, this is the place. In Italy it would have been rated as average, but in London, it is a rarity.

Brutti and Boni is a cozy neighborhood cafe/restaurant which serves simple, but very good and real Italian food. I've been here twice and before had pasta which was very delicious. This time I was in a hurry therefore had their salami and cheese sandwich and it was a real treat. Salami was so good( should try their deli platter next time). Of course, we should not forget to mention their cappuccino, it's exactly how it should be, not very milky or too cold or too hot, I promise you will like it.The service was O.K., but not extraordinary unfortunately ( I'm comparing with my previous visit) . It seemed to me that the waitress was either new or tired . Anyway, I still think it's a good place and I would definitely recommend it. By the way, you can buy some real Italian products there: pasta, olive oil, balsamico etc.

Went on saturday lunch 3 people1. All the pasta (Boar sauce tortellini and OG lasagna) were too salty and it is a shame to realize the saltiness basically masks the unique flavors and downgrades to a salty pasta dish most restaurant can make, not sure if its a 10+ quid pasta worthy.2. The brown bread they give is fantastic chewy and toasty, but when we ordered more bread, they gave a white bread which gets hard like breadstick when cooled (keep in mind)3. The assorted plate appetizer is alright, just alrightOverall, it has potentials but a little less on the salt for pasta (if we want it salty, we can add more salt) and the assorted-plate of meat and cheese (size of a med cutting board) is questionable if its 12quid but the food is just "alright", but considering its SK area, thats up to your decision to find it worth the money. Not me at least.Id give it an average if it wasnt the SK premium, but with this price and food quality I wont be going back

We chose Brutti&boni due to the positive reviews through TripAdvisor. Food was good, but we were disappointed of the wine list - first of all the list was very short, maybe 7 red wines on the list, but eventually they only had three to choose from?! The first waiter was most likely just hired as she didn't know the slightest thing about the wines. We did get to taste all three wines to choose which we liked best, but it wasn't the type of wine I was looking for.

It was very good, but left me hungry still. After hours trapsing around the city I needed more. The ingredients were fresh. A glass of 125 ml white wine was 7.50 GBP, which seemed excessive. I suggest getting a starter if you're really hungry. I can't say that I'd go back, but I can give credit where credit is due: fresh ingredients and good food. The ambiance/seating and portion sizes would make me look elsewhere. The service was friendly, but a bit slow.

This family-run bottega was a delight to find for lunch before going to the V&A. I had one of the daily specials, tagliatelle with zucchini, speck and cream which tickled the tastebuds a treat. The salads also drew praise and there was a choice of wines by the glass. Definitely a haunt to return to

Amazing service, super tasty food. Make sure to book a table though as the restaurant itself only has 4 tables! We didn't expect to enter such a small restaurant, but it was definitely worth it. The prices are surprisingly inexpensive!

We were a large group of people and the staff organized a fantastic (and really abundant!) dinner for us. The food was really good (real italian! I loved both the tortellini and parmigiana), the staff was very welcoming and they let us stay a bit longer after closing time. I would definitely recommend this place!

If you are looking for good Italian food in London, you've found your place! The food is really good and really Italian, and the staff is particularly kind and available. I had a great dinner there.

This is a small but perfectly formed slice of Italy. The owners once a week import Italy to you to save you the trip! It was busy and we began by sitting on the bar stools but where quickly moved to the back room and a proper table when one became available. The tortellini with wild boar topping was very good indeed. Well cooked and perfectly seasoned. Every mouthful was devoured quickly and appreciatively. Make room for a dessert as they are just as good. The apricot tart with cream anglaise was a sweet treat that was the best I have had for some time. This place deserves to do well as the food and the attentive chatty staff make for a great lunch experience.

Not brutti at all on the contrary one of the best places where to eat very well and feel very cozy like at home. I go almost every weekend for focaccia tortellini vermentino and a couple of mignons before a siesta or a walk at the park and I luv it ! Real Italian atmosphere and very cool and friendly staff. First, the service is always fantastic. Friendly staff who are never too busy to stop and have a conversation with the customer. The coffee is much better than what you'll find from a high-street chain and the food is homemade and healthier. Recently they have also ventured into stone baked pizzas and even make their own bread on site. Gluten-free and vegan options also available. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. 5 Stars all around!

Been going here for nearly 10 years and now they just keep putting their prices and up and filling the sandwiches with less filling. Won’t be going here anymore.

This is a family business and they so clearly take pride in their baking and their products. You will not be disappointed. Another thing is, they will deliver for you at a very reasonable charge unless it is extremely far away. Whenever we need anything delivered in London, it's always from Brownie Box. Don't miss their blondies!

Now this is a private members' club, so you cannot walk in off the street to eat an incredible meal. I was lucky enough to be invited to lunch by my beloved step-mother, wife of the dear man who took on the role of being my father for many years, himself a painter who mixed his own egg tempera and made my life and hers quite magical. This was our first face-to-face since his death, so apologies to the people sitting next to us, as I did sob quite a bit. I miss him terribly, and am awfully sorry that she is now a widow, as she loved him as much as I did. Counterpoint to such sadness was a sudden full-budget thunderstorm with hail, huge raindrops, and theatrical thunder, which everyone enjoyed, because nobody at Chelsea Arts is scared of lightning. They are all too old, or too brave or too deaf, and in the middle of this amazement, the food arrived. This is the kind of cooking that would tempt a dying child: small torn pieces of salty, milky, buttery Italian mozzarella, sprinkled with tiny cubes of fresh, intense, raw or perfectly cooked vegetables, transparent curls of cucumber and a warm, comforting, sweet-savoury and slightly mustardy dressing; the raising-up of simple stuff to perfect. My main course was river trout. A crispy skin as foil to the fall-apart perfect piece of tender fish bejewelled with a sprinkling of orange roe and other surprises. For a greedy person, these small, perfect portions were surprisingly satisfying, and their beauty on the plate was most painterly. For pudding, a perfect amount of blackberry clafoutis and a spoon-rolled dab of cold-coffee ice cream, but the icing on the cake - assuming I could squeeze any more in - was meeting Bryn and Hannah Terfel - recognised by my stepmother - in the street where my stepfather lived in the 1970s. If only I'd been pushy enough to follow them home for a sing-song. Perhaps next time. Three courses with two glasses of wine for two people, for a very reasonable £100.
