My wife and I called in here on our wedding anniversary for a drink and we're so impressed we booked a meal for the following evening and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and very well presented, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the selection of drinks available is perfect. We will definitely be returning

Wonderful evening at The Ringsfield Tavern, it had everything we love about a good place to eat; amazing food (thanks to Ann the chef), Andy was the perfect host and the waitress ( sorry didn’t find out her name) made sure we had everything we needed. The food was gorgeous; I had the lamb and mint burger and my husband had the homemade pie, with chips and perfectly cooked vegetables. Our dogs were welcomed and given biscuits, and we really can’t recommend the Tavern highly enough. Will be returning tonight!

Me and my partner were passing the area and popped into this lovely country pub… has a really local family feel to it… all staff are so welcoming and friendly, super clean and food was amazing real home cooked pub food would highly recommend

Pleasant country pub, very friendly. Good beer garden . Good Sunday lunches and other items looked tasty too. Reasonable priced drinks and beer in good condition.

It had been too long since we called upon the services of Andy, Ann and their staff for a Fish and Chips takeaway. We had forgotten how good the service and food is from here. I ordered the meals this morning for 5:45 this evening so that we could eat and watch the football in good time. The meals arrived dead on time, piping hot having just been cooked. The journey home with the meals was making me hungry in anticipation of the dinner I was about to eat. We were not disappointed, it was just the right size, very tasty and very well packed. Some things change, like the much improved decor and layout of the pub, but thankfully the quality of the cooking was still top notch ! Whilst there at the bar I saw the array of beers for sale, next time I will arrive early so that I can try a half of one !

I'm rarely impressed with pub food but our meals were exceptional. Homemade chips. Homemade pie filled to the brim with steak. Lovely atmosphere and service. Will definitely come back again when back in the area.

23 of us stopped off for pre ordered lunch whilst on our Norfolk Stag Club Halloween Drive. Some of the cars were decorated for Halloween along with some of the members. We could have not been made to feel more welcome by Andy Anne and his staff. Plus the other customers. The food was bought out hot and plentiful. Andy coped well with the continous change of numbers attending and everyone got what they pre ordered. There were no complaints from anyone. We definitely would not hesitate going again. Thank you to all those who made our meal memorable.

Absolutely amazing country pub. Dog friendly including indoors and superb food that cannot be faulted. Had an amazing dinner and we were made to feel very welcome with our 2 cockerpoos. Will do going back regularly and can't wait to try their steak, stilton and port pie.

On holiday for a few days based near Beccles and chose this pub for an evening meal on my wife's birthday. Glad we did - outstandingly friendly welcome for us and the dog too. Not just the staff - the regular punters in there were friendly and chatty too. Outstanding list of different burger fillings available - the boss had steak and blue cheese and rated it highly with all its trimmings and great chips . Personally, I'm happier going out for breakfast than dinner so I was delighted to find (completely unexpectedly) sausage, egg, chips and beans on the menu - and it was great. "Proper" sausages, nicely cooked and browned (none of that half-raw look you get in many places), superb chips (scorching hot) - delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the friendliness of the pub. Thanks to all the staff and customers there.

We really enjoyed our visit and had a burger each which were fab! They were really tasty and had a large choice. I’m not a huge burger person but it was incredibly tasty. Very dog friendly even though our dog was a little grumpy but he was quickly won over by the owner after having a little treat. Would recommend this pub for a drink or food :-)

Great selection of food especially burgers... And they were totally yummy with hand cut chips to boot!!! Really nice lunch and great service.

Upon entering the pub it looks amazing, hand sanitizer available when you walk in and the bar looks great! Bought our drinks where we never even got asked for our details for track and trace..... but we sat down with our drinks. We sat in the front bar, not by choice but because if your not a “member” you aren’t allowed to enter the room with the entertainment like the pool table. There is a curtain that the landlord quickly closed to segregate the “members” from the “non members” and I have to say it has to be the worst pub we have been in since pubs reopened and we have tried a few! Definitely won’t be returning.

Lovely little pub, good home cooked food and a friendly and accommodating landlord. Waitresses were lovely and there is also a pub garden.

Whether it is a Take Away or eat in the Fish and chips here is very tasty, not greasy, right size of portion and piping hot. It's Friday and it has to be fish and chips tonight, fortunately I am just down the road and able to phone through and book either eating in or getting a take away. Order the day before to avoid disappointment. If you get there early enough have half a pint of the latest ale or what ever is your tipple. Beware the order is always on time. Tonight it was wing of skate, garden peas and chips and cod and chips with garden peas. It was Take Away and delicious. Even before lock down the food here was fab., hope the curry gets back on the menu soon. the residents in the area are very lucky to have such a good place to eat and drink.

Thought we would give the pub a try for lunch today. Our party of 4 had four different dishes, scampi, a roast, a burger meal and home made lasagne. The good was superb and excellent value at just over £30 including one coffee.The pub is friendly with a decent choice of real ales. Definitely one to try again.

Popped into the Horseshoes for lunch this lunchtime.We were 4 in total.Ordered the Steak Pie,Goat Curry and 2 Fish and chips.All 4 meals were of the best quality and freshly cooked.The beers on offer were also very nice.Everything at a reasonable price.Really couldn’t fault the friendliness of everyone and the Pub itself.Will definitely be back.

Had a lovely Friday evening family meal out. Lovely pub style food, all served nice and hot. The fish and chips were lovely and great value on your Friday evening special. The homemade pie and fresh veg was delicious and the puddings were lovely too. A really affordable meal out especially with kids. The staff were friendly and the waiter was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Def be coming back!

Four of us were out walking, and turned up just before closing time at lunchtime. Andy and Anne made us very welcome and, despite the time, conjured up lovely baguettes, salad and drinks. They made no attempt to usher us out, and even served up a second round. On our way to The Horseshoes, we met another group of walkers who had been just been in and they were also very complimentary.

What a great place to find. Lovely local pub with a great atmosphere. The owners are wonderful and nothing is to much trouble with a wide range of choices to drink. We were a table of 8. All the food was spectacular such a good choice of excellent cooked pub grub. I had the steak and ale pie and it was gorgeous. Nice to have a pie with proper chunks of meat. All the food turn up piping up and at the same time. Great value for money and will defiantly be returning very soon. We'll done to all that works there.

Called in for a quick drink and such a friendly place booked a table for later as it was my friends birthday and asked the landlord for a nice table. Imagine our surprise on our return to find a beautiful table with a birthday banner and a beautiful candle and birthday glitter.Amazing food at reasonable prices and lovely staff and such friendly locals who made a couple of Yorkshire girls very welcome.A final treat cake and a candle and happy birthday sung by the staff.Yes it was our first visit but not our last

The Horseshoes is under new management, who have done an absolutely wonderful job on bringing back the atmosphere of a proper village pub!We came as a family and the staff were so accommodating to our party. We enjoyed a couple rounds of drinks (so much to choose from!), and then went through for dinner - let me tell you the food is simply THE BEST and they've got something available for everyone, I'm vegetarian and the veggie pie was amazing, not to mention it was all piping hot through and best of all handmade!You can tell that the management have pride in their work and so they should be!

Landlord Alan couldn't have done more for 16 members who turned up on the day. 6 gorgeous ales to sample. Excellent good and speedy service. Top of our favourites list now

I phoned to book a table for the latest we could have yesterday and was informed by a nice lady last orders were five o'clock. We booked this and boy we were not dissapointed. The food was lovely . Piping hot and all freshly cooked. The restaurant is cosy and a lovely atmosphere. There is a well stocked bar and good wine menu. The owners and staff are all friendly and nothing was too much trouble when we asked to swop chips for new potatoes and roast for new potatoes. My sister had the roast beef and she said it melted in her mouth. We will definitely return again and look forward to it .

We visited the horseshoes twice after being recommended the pub by our Air BNB host. A lovely warm welcome from the landlords and staff alike and super efficient service from the waiting staff. The food is home cooked and superb! So good, that I had the same main and dessert on both visits and on each occasion, it was spot on! A big thumbs up from us all.

Having seen the good reports on Trip, We decided to try the Horseshoes, on arrival we were greeted in a welcoming manner, a reasonable choice of well kept ales and a good honest menu, the service was polite and unpretentious. The food arrived very quickly and was very tasty. I will be looking forward to a return visit in the next few weeks. The only observation and this was only because my plate slid about on the well polished table, this was easily remedied with a serviette under neath, so perhaps some disposable place mats? Looking forward to the next visit

This is a really nice old fashioned pub serving good, reasonably priced food. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive and there was a good selection of food - the scampi was particularly good. The pub was quite busy, but we had booked ahead. The pub is quite easy to find and there is a large car park opposite. My mother has limited mobility and uses a walker, but she was able to access the restaurant area, although there are a few shallow steps to negotiate. Despite there being no dedicated disabled toilet, she was able to access the standard toilets quite well. All in all thoroughly recommended for a good old traditional pub with good food.

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food is good and well presented. Whether you just want a drink or choose a meal you will enjoy your visit. Enclosed courtyard garden is attractive with comfortable garden furniture. So pleased we now have a village pub to be proud of.

After a few years of this pub going downhill it's great to see it looking like the pub it used to be again and busy again food was lovely to with so many village pubs closing it's great to see its not gone that way

The Horseshoes has not been blessed with good landlords over the past few years, so I was wondering what the new owners would be like. There was a good attendance at the opening night, and Anne and Andy were really friendly. Went in at the week-end, and four of us were able to sit outside and have a decent 'pub grub' meal, that was well presented and with lots of attention from the waitress. Fingers crossed that Anne and Andy keep up the initial good vibes.

Called in for a couple of pints and was welcomed by the new friendly owners. Four real ales on pumps along with Largers and other refreshments. We looked at the menu and decided to stay for a meal which was served quickly, and tasted great. We will certainly return.

Opened recently under new ownership, lovely refurbishment, a welcoming environment and friendly, helpful staff. Very clean, and the food and table service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit for food and drink, will certainly be back!

Estuvimos aquí en un paseo en bicicleta para un almuerzo en un pub. No se servía comida, así que tuvimos que contentarnos de una pinta. Por desgracia, el Aspalls era cálida y plana. El pub tiene un ambiente agradable, con mesas en el exterior, etc. y estaba limpio. También no aceptan tarjeta. Es el único pub de unos pocos kilómetros así que parada, quizás no tuvimos suerte...

We received a very warm welcome from the landlord and customers alike, when calling in for a drink and snacks on a recent bike ride out from Beccles.

Nice place, good beer, log fire in winter, landlord is friendly and locals welcoming, I enjoy my visits here

Primera vez de visitar las herraduras en años. Fuimos en y me pareció muy bonita con la nueva decoración interior. Esa era tan lejos, ya que al ser una buena experiencia.

La herradura tiene un nuevo propietario, quien, junto con su sidekicks, ha logrado convertirlo en un elegante (aunque sin pretensiones), cómodo y muy acogedor pub. Los jardines y las áreas de estar fuera han tenido una gran renovación y también nosotros realmente genial. Las comidas no lo están haciendo en la actualidad así que no puedo comentar sobre la comida, pero están teniendo un ensayo de domingo almuerzo asado el 14 de junio y no cabe duda de que vamos a hacer. Ver este espacio!

Mi marido y yo visitamos este pub en un miércoles por la tarde para comer, nos agradó ver una señora muy sonriente y feliz detrás del bar que nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, ambos a sólo tenía un aperitivo, chaqueta patatas y una baguette. Que no era mucho de un aperitivo. Con ensalada y patatas fritas fue una comida muy abundante por un buen precio! Definitivamente volveremos.

Sin duda no va a atraer a la gente por el menú en oferta - todo muy básico y demasiado caro. Hemos visitado un domingo - no comer el domingo, así que terminamos con bacalao y patatas fritas (se suponía que vienen con salsa tartare pero se quedaron sin) y patatas fritas de carne. El pescado tenía mi compañero dijo que era muy buena y el filete que tomé - ordenados por venir Blue - estaba azul y muy sabroso. Pero, con platos de acompañamiento patatas fritas congeladas y guisantes congelados sin duda no hay mucho que destacar. Por lo que pude ver que éramos los únicos para comer allí y la comida nos llevó unos 45 minutos para ser servida, y luego tuve que pedir servilletas. Este lugar podría ser un auténtico ganador si alguien puso algo pensé en lo que están haciendo.

Tuvimos una mesa para 15 reservado para el lunes festivos. Cuando llegamos nos dieron menús y nos dijeron que no había Turquía tarta izquierda, y sólo 1 y 2 bistec lasagna,1 hamburguesas izquierda!!! Esto no deja demasiado elección! Luego tuvimos que esperar más de una hora para la comida, que estaba bien, pero no es muy bueno, y la cola Scampi no era todo como lo anuncian. La comida era bastante caro, pero algunas de las bebidas eran caras ( £6.50 por una copa de vino de rosas)

Teníamos gambas y patatas fritas y una papa de chaqueta de queso. Ambas eran muy agradables y las patatas fritas eran excelentes. No había ambiente ya que éramos los únicos dos comiendo, que era muy extraño para Semana Santa el sábado. El servicio era muy eficiente y agradable. Es una lástima que no había más gente allí.

This is a real locals pub. The interior is surprisingly modern and looks clean, with comfortable leather chairs. The staff are efficient and we enjoyed our meal recently. You can sit out when it's sunny and there is also a large TV if that's what you need. It's a pleasant atmosphere too, with friendly efficient staff.
