Rating is for enormously unprofessional door/security stuff, needed to call police, to stop the violence against me.

Bouncer decided my Reebok cargo trousers were tracksuit bottoms denying me entry. Embarrassing. It’s a hole and bouncer needs to get with the times

Small gem in the rough. "A MOST BEAUTIFUL" English pub! If I could have this in my neighborhood it would be this one. This is the perfect place for a cold pint or a lovely cocktail with friends or alone to read and watch the world go by. Lady behind the bar was really friendly and absolutely worked her socks off, along with her colleague. Really impressed.

Wellingborough Pub Crawl, pub #3 (30-11-23) Walked back into town centre and popped in, dissapointed no bitter again so I had a bottle of cider and my dad a lager, walked into tje back and surprised how big it was, got a seat and watched some football on tje TV, a goid barmaid and it did fill up a bit, looks like a busy weekend night time pub.

Well what a dive, learning about my friend who ended up being sick after drinking from two real ale bottles we now know why, dirty and out of date beer, if you want to score some coke then this is the place to go, people doing it in the toilets and on tables rather openly, if your a coke head then you can get it for free as trails all over the toilets and tables, my former member of staff was asked by the barmaid who was whispering to what looked like the landlady then the next night we went back in the landlady handed the barmaid money who approached my former team member and gave him the monaural and asked him to score some for them, so he tool the money and never went back😁 we even hears about the bragging g about the massive parties on the first lockdown, I wouldn't even let someone's dog eat the food as its that bad, should be shut down or raided, whatever is quickest! To be honest,I couldn't submit this without clicking one star, it doesn't even deserve that

As always, I preface my reviews with the fact that I spent ages in hospitality from LA to the UK, so I get that things don't always go perfectly in these places. Well, we kinda ended up here by mistake and just wanted a drink so whatever. The poor girl behind the bar was annoyed because there was no chilled white wine for us, and for some reason, the pinot noir was actually in the fridge. I know right?!?! So we ordered what was available and sat in a big booth. All was ok until I needed the toilet. I went to the disabled one because It was right there and I didn't see the other toilet. Too bad because the sink didn't work in it, there was a note on the mirror, so I couldn't use it anyway hahaha. So I make my way to the back of the bar and now I hear the sound of rip rip rip rip every time I take a step. I have never been on such a sticky floor in all of my life and I have worked at some PROPER dive bars in Detroit back in the 90s. The only think that kinda saved me was someone has just bleached/cleaned the floors in the bathroom. Which was good because at least the bottom of my shoes could be clean as there was no hand soap in the bathroom. So ummm, yeah that was all that happened there. We left once we got hungry.

Went out to meet up with friends on the 22nd May. Even though there were a lot of people, social distancing and masks while moving about were mandatory. Bar staff very courteously reminded us of the rules. I had the PeriPeri Chicken Gyros and pizza fries, and it was fantastic!! Bar staff regularly came by to see if we needed more drinks or food. Had a great night out there.

Visited here on Saturday night for a few drinks and a bite to eat. We booked a table however on arrival we were told we could sit anywhere. There were a good few people in the pub the most Ive seen at 7.30 on a Saturday night. The food was good could not fault it. However in terms of what precautions that are being taken to prevent Covid im not so sure. Tables were clearly mingling and it was clear they didn't know each other. One crowd probably moved tables 3 times!! The table wasn't sanitised and then another party came and sat there. They would then go outside mingle with more people and then come back in again. We even had a stranger come over to us whilst eating to see what the food was like. I know that's not the pubs fault but I really think they need much stricter rules in place as clearly they are too relaxed and people just do whatever they want. I like this pub but at the moment I would not feel safe or comfortable going back just yet.

After leaving Castello lounge which was wonderfully socially distance and clean, me and 4 others qued to get into Horseshoe(s). The doormen told us to wait 5 minutes while other people came out and in of the door. We were let in, one person from our party wrote down his name and number on a stray piece of A4 paper. There was around 40-50 people in the front bar, standing at tables, queing at the bar closely. We were then led in and vaguely shown to go outside and find a table. We had to squeeze past people who were standing on the dance floor, people were standing around between tables and you had to push past them. Apparently there was a one way system which wasn't being used whatsoever. Outside there was no clear way to get around the outside area, let alone the new bar outside. We stood outside by a filthy table for a few minutes, then decided to sit at the front bar for a while as it somehow felt safer. From a previous bar manager point of view, I didn't see one person being ID'd, I saw a bloke puke into the street around 1am while the doormen stood around and looked at their watch. The most uncomfortable shitshow I've ever walked into.

What a night right from the start. Can I just say the doorman Tammy is amazing and a credit to the place. Will definitely come back if she’s working

I do love coming here to have a nice relaxing pint of Heineken! Staff are lovely, new manager so even better! Would recommend anyone coming here of an evening to have a few pints and just chill.

Absolutely lovely country pub. Very welcoming staff and locals. Prices weren't too bad. Had a band on the sunday night who were really good.

The place has a fab interior...Sports channels and darts..Prices are expensive...The toilets are horrible and the management should sort that out as they're disgusting and made me heave when I was in there no soap...
