It is a great little place, the local punters are amazing and chatty owners are nice as can be and there's a rabbit in the garden area

Went in as not been in here for 20 years. Place has changed completely! Lovely atmosphere, nice and clean and the staff were nice and cheerful. We had two mixed grills which were the best we have had in a long time, beer was nice and cold and everything about the place was really good. The only small down side to the experience was the plate and glass clearing when empty, loads of staff just walked past when we had placed them at the end of the table and theylooked but walked past. Only small point but needs sorting out.

We love the Sunday lunches at the Horseshoe. You have to book as its busy but not packed. The food is always good quality and the service always with a smile!

A cosy but great little pub in Harley which serves the most amazing Sunday lunches. Bob cooks and cuts the meat and you serve yourself to the dinner which is enough to feed an army as the quality and quantities are great. You must book to eat here on a Sunday as can't turn up just for a meal as its so popular. Food is cooked on other evenings and booking is also advisable.

poor atmosphere all down to a member of staff whom i later found out was the land lord . I herd it had changed hands so i went past last Friday only to see the same man shouting and being truly awful again at the Horseshoe . Its a pity as its a lovely pub in a lovely location sadly we shall not be going back and i cannot recommend it to anyone

Decided to try Sunday car very after reading reviews. We booked as it was recommended to but the place wasn't busy at all. Got our meal but disappointed as the food was not hot enough, the Yorkshire puddings we over cooked and like rubber and the sprouts not cooked enough. Nothing to write home about so won't be going again.

We had a late Sunday carvery here and we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. We were just ahead of the final serving of 3pm for the day. We were made to feel very welcome and when we were shown to our table, told to go to the carvery counter once we were ready. At the counter we were handed a sizeable warm plate and asked to choose between pork or beef or a combination of both. The portion sizes were very good and plentiful. One of the big pluses was the variety of vegetables on offer, certainly one of the best I have ever seen and the choice was entirely the customers as to how much or how little you had. All of them looked as if they were freshly prepared. Among others there were carrots, broccoli, parsnips and roast and mashed potatoes. On the minus side I found the room we ate in to be a little on the cool side and the vegetables although well cooked a bit cold. They were under lamps at the counter to try and keep them warm. We will try here again because of the variety of vegetables and hope they are hotter next time. Although we didn't have a sweet there were some very tempting delights on offer and like the main meal, at reasonable prices. We would have liked to have tried this pub for a evening meal in the week but apart from the odd specials night they have stopped doing food in the week.

I work in this industry so I am always very fussy when I go out but I literally can not fault this place. The staff are absolutely fantastic; so warm & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. We had a table of 8 booked at 2pm & 2 of our party was late but the staff were so laid back and wasn't bothered. It is also such good value for what you pay. Excellent food & drink quality! The food was absolutely beautiful....I literally couldn't fault a thing (& I am a massive fuss pot)! Absolutely awesome. Highly recommend if you want good quality fresh food at reasonable prices, in a beautiful quaint county pub. Thank you for a lovely family lunch!

booked in advance, so not very busy when we arrived Welcomed, and selected a table, by happy smiling staff, drinks ordered and menus perused. Fairly quite, as we were the only people eating so attentive service without being over the top. We ordered Pate, ginger king prawns on a bed of linguine. Starters arrived well presented, pate was one of the best I have ever tasted , with plenty of toasted bread and salad etc. The king prawns excellent but filling. Mains , were marlin steak, ( wonderful) and prime beef burger ( not for the faint hearted), my wife said the beef burger was amazing, onion rings fantastic, I stole a couple. We will definitely return, super food a true gastro pub with no pretensions , friendly efficient staff .

Lovely little pub on the outskirts of the famous Wentworth village. Booking advisable. Two meats to chose from - beef or pork or a bit of both. Stuffing, crackling, mash, roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots, mashed swede and carrot, broccoli, cauli, roast parsnip an of course massive Yorkshire puddings! Help yourself to all but the meats. I overdid it and was stuffed...wish I'd taken a doggy bag to fry up the next day. Choice of beers. Pool table and outdoor seating with covered area for die-hard smokers. Friendly landlord and staff as well as locals. No disabled access or toilet though. Nice clientele. We will be back.

Visited with family for Sunday lunch having booked the previous Wednesday. What can we say, other than it was wonderful. My cousin who was visiting from London said it was the best Pub Sunday carvery she had eaten in years. The whole staff group were friendly and helpful and get full marks.Four of our group had desserts which were the best for quality, size and price that we have found anywhere. To make the visit even better a good selection of real ales served to perfection. Our advice to anyone wondering about visiting is GO AND TREAT YOURSELFS.

Booked a table for 6 for Sunday carvery, arrived shown to our table, and then on to the carvery. Choice of 2 meats, excellent selection of veg, mash roast, stuffing etc. Beef and pork were both cooked to perfection, as were the veg, nice creamy mash and home made Yorkshire puds, and great roast potatoes. No skimping on potions here, 2 children were allowed to choose what they wanted. We decided against sweets as we were all full. Probably one of the best carverys I've had in a long time.Excellent choice of beers etc, nice friendly atmosphere, this is how pubs used to be.

We visit the Horseshoe regularly and always have a wonderful meal there. The food quality is by far the best in the area. The price is very reasonable, the service and friendliness is also excellent. Yes it is a local pub but people travel about now and whether you are from the village or out of town you will always be made to feel welcome. We went there with the family today and had a lovely Sunday lunch, absolutely fabulous and all for £12.00 per head including drinks and puddings, cant be beaten. It is best to by pass the pubs and restaurants in Wentworth village and carry on to Harley you will not be disappointed.

We visited The Horseshoe on a Thursday lunchtime after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. Proper home cooked food that was presented in a very professional and elegant way. The pub it's self is spotlessly clean and offers a good selection of cask ales, lagers, cidre, wine and spirits. Well done to all at The Horseshoe in Harley.

Eaten at this pub 3 times recently, and I can't praise them enough. The first time, 10 of us were turned away from 2 pubs nearby as they were busy, and the Horseshoe accommodated us no problem. My wife and myself then went there one lunchtime specifically to book a corner of the pub for a function, and they couldn't have been more helpful. From booking, through ordering the food, to being messed about by us with our order, to us getting the meals we couldn't fault them. Good value for money too with plenty of choice.

Initially went in for a few drinks after work with a friend. Neither of us had been before but were passing and thought we'd give it a try. Didn't expect much, but ended up staying for food after looking at the menu and really enjoyed it. The food was well cooked and they were happy to accommodate my friend's dietary needs. Would definitely eat there again! A real hidden gem!

Me and my partner went for Sunday lunch today, as we was looking to try somewhere new. I called to prebook as on their website it said it was advisable. This is quite a deceptive pub from the outside it looks massive but it it's quite small inside. Parking is difficult as the pub has no carpark. When we walked in we found it a bit uncomfortable as the pub was full of local people, which because we had never been before we stood out.The food was lovely, you had a choice of hand carved pork with cracking or beef with stuffing both was cooked to perfection. There was also a wide selection on veg which is all self service. The prices was reasonable at just £7.50 for Sunday lunch. You do need to spend over £10 if you are paying by card.

Came for lunch with the family & grandchildren recently & we had a fab afternoon. The food was good, the play area kept the kids entertained and the staff were pleasant and friendly. We’ve definitely arranged to return in the school holidays & hopefully the sun will shine so we can enjoy the beer garden.
