A warm welcome from the waiter as soon as we entered. All the staff were pleasant and the food was excellent. The best Indian we have had for a long time. Loved the combination options and would definitely recommend,

On entering the premises you are struck by the unusual decor, however you are warmly greeted by friendly staff. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu and the food is hot and tasty and reasonably priced. Would visit again if in the area.

I absolutely can’t fault this place at all! Food is amazing service is spot on! Staff are polite and can’t do enough to ensure you have everything you need. Enjoyable experience even with toddlers in tow!! My go to place for a family meal

We came across this restaurant by chance on a 2 night stay in the area. The food was excellent, the menu extensive and our waiter was a star, very efficient helpful and friendly. He did tell us his name but sorry I can't remember. And as a bonus we loved the music. If we lived locally we would definitely be returning on a regular basis. Highly recommended.

We have travelled from the Staffordshire Moorlands to meet friends from Kiddy... A few beers in Stourport then looked for a good restaurant.... we dropped into this amazing plqce... met by friemdly professional staff. Served promptly with fantastic indian food that was spectacular. Fresh... tasty... lovely spiced and packed full of flavour. The wines complemented the food perfectly. Just ended our weekend with friends perfectly... Thank you so much x

Me and my partner had such an amazing visit, the food was delicious loved the mix grill! The atmosphere was really good and the decor was stunning and most of all the staff where so polite and welcoming and gave a great service will deffo come again!

The daughter decided she wanted to go for a curry with her friends for her 12th birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make their visit special, oh and the food was excellent. Defiantly will be going back.

Excellent Indian restaurant / pub. Food always tastes fresh unlike most other restaurants in the area. Not the cheapest but worth the money. My only dislike is some of the kebab starters being chicken instead of lamb/meat. Otherwise you can't go wrong.

The place was nice, unfortunately it took an hour and a half to get starters and after asking twice and getting no response it finally arrive with raw fish and two and a half hours after getting there we received main course, no reason at...

There are so many Indian style restaurants, even in a small town like Stourport so what makes this special? You will be impressed by the friendly greeting, the attention to customer care and, these days the strict and necessary attention to COVID-19 precautions. Then there is the steam punk setting of the restaurant, nothing like any other Indian restaurant I have dined in! Then there is a fully stocked and extensive bar, including real ale from Bewdley Brewery, but the main delight is yet to come. The menu contains the usual Indian favourites but also an exciting selection of speciality dishes. They sound delicious on the menu and believe me they are! The food is what you come for and you will not be disappointed and that in itself is worthy of 5 stars but add in all the other aspects and you get something very special!

Could not fault this place. Went on a Friday lunch time, we were the only ones there but couldn’t understand why when we had the food! Between us we had a baby blue and classic burger, it was perfectly cooked and the sides were just right! Bit big as it was off the main menu (they currently don’t do lunch) but this isn’t a negative as we’d skipped breakfast! Well worth a visit if you haven’t yet! It was clean and great music was on. Great selection of drinks too!

We went here on New Year’s Eve, more by chance as the other pubs were charging entrance. We popped in before going to have a curry but ended up back afterwards. They had a good selection of beers and gin. There was also complimentary snacks too, which were going down well, we managed to get one of the comfy sofas which just made it feel even more homely. The pub has a nice friendly atmosphere and staff were quick and helpful.

I cant believe this place doesnt get loads more reviews, maybe its its location, New St not the liveliest of Stourport roads most people would just be driving to the riverside car parks than specifically to this establishment or its past history of being a bit round the edges pub. Worleys have certainly worked their magic touch on the decor , really great industrial vibe tables and chairs, one major negative is the beer taps across the bar set at a ridiculous height that makes you have to bend down to see the barmaid under it , very strange. On the plus side the burgers here are some of the meatiest and tastiest ive tasted and if you saw the size of me youd know Ive tated quite a few in my time , veggie burger was really good too and they have several different tasting ones on the menu, loved the music playing which on a Saturday lunchtime lots of great 60s classics, go on a wednesday from 5pm to get the deal of the decade with 2 for 1 burgers(cheapest one free) Toilets are spotless and nicely presented. Will defo be returning on a Wednesday in the coming months

Came in hoping for vegan options and weren't disappointed. Chef went to amazing lengths to make sure we had an awesome vegan burger and all the sides including the coleslaw were vegan too! Also they're dog friendly so they even cooked up some sausage separately - lovely!

We were looking for some food at lunchtime and came across this place by chance. It was dog friendly and the nice lady behind the bar was very helpful. I had the steak baguette and my wife had the pulled pork baguette. Sides of hand cut chips and onion rings. We were amazed how good the food was. Top marks. One real ale I tried was a bit horrible so I changed to Tribute which was much nicer. The interior decor is really unusual but is very nice. The toilets were modern and clean. Overall a decent place to eat and drink. We would definitely try again if in Stourport.

Walked past this place 100 times never been in however popped in this week and very impressed,cool looking with good beers and excellent food nice friendly barmaid ,great burgers and the faggots and mash a little rustic but very tasty. Definitely going again .

By adding big benches and no small tables, this has become very cramped. You can no longer go in just for a drink amd if you want to eat at the weekend you need to get in early as 2 people on a big bench table is silly. Needs the layout re-thinking. Was great before food. Food is very expensive too

Lovely pub refurbished with all sorts of original nick jacks...very well presented. Clean, professional staff, lovely atmosphere. We are not ALE drinkers but they did have a very good selection. Food menu looked FAB .

I've had better meals at the hope, the staff are fine, no issues. They even pushed my booking back an hour no problem. Love the place, walking distance too, bonus. Every time I've eaten there the food has been tip top........... But last night ughThe chef needs to understand the difference between seasoning and ruining a meal. We had 3 very different burgers, dirty, haloumi and a BLC. All of which were over seasoned. I write this at 6.15am after I've fetched my 4th pint of water as my mouth is like ghandis flip flop. Cmon guys you can do better than this !

A day trip to Stourport, been before but this is the first time here, and glad we stopped by. Lovely welcome, great range of beers and food, something for everyone too!! Will be back!!

Go down to Stourport to see relatives every year. This was the first time I've had the chance to go to the Hope and Anchor. Loved the industrial theme with the oil drum benches and stuff. There was a good selection of drinks and the staff were really friendly.

We visited this pub a couple of weeks ago. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially with food selections for the kids. Toilets were clean and the food was tasty and not overpriced. Would definitely return if in the area agin.

Had a big surprise on entering this pub. It was quirky and my son loved it. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean and tidy with nice toilets. The biggest surprise was the handmade burgers that were to die for. Will be visiting here again definitely!!

Went for a meal with friends and must say we all enjoyed everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to take our dog into where we ate so perfect for all you dog lovers. The place was unusual & quirky but it was great because every where you looked there was something fascinating. Will definitely be back!

Not impressed sadly, been before and enjoyed but food not consistent, chicken burgers were like birds eye minced chicken when previously had same meal was fillet of chicken, and hand cut chips were lovely first time but this time I’d go so far as to say frozen so really disappointed ☹️ won’t return for food sadly! We absolutely love this place. Really cool decor, friendly staff, great selection of beers and drinks and the food is fabulous. The burgers are perfect. This is definitely our go-to place.

A truly wonderful meal, we each had burgers, all were cooked to perfection. I can personally certainly recommend the 'El Hombre' spicy but not too much heat, the fries were deep golden coloured & tasted delicious. The creamy chunky coleslaw also went down so well with everyone. Then desserts............ oh yes, look no further than the 'Chocolate Junkyard', sooooo scrummy!! The service was excellent too. We'll definitely be going back soon for 'seconds'!!!

Slow service and mediocre food, miserable staff, don’t bother, pub is quirky, ok for a drink but not for food.

We recently visited The Hope and Anchor and were blown away by the brilliant steampunk themed decor. The food was delicious and plentiful with really good sized portions. The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed a very pleasant lunch. Try The Hope and Anchor if you are in Stourport it's well worth a visit.

A relatively quiet day during half term in Stourport but we decided to pop into the pub for food and a drink.

love the burgers at the hope. nice meaty burger in a Brioche bun toasted to perfection. as soon as you pick it up ...you just know that it's going to be a good eating experience ....never been disappointed yet. well done Mr Warley.

We popped in for lunch. Limited menu but the food was amazing at reasonable prices. Steak, onion & mushroom baguette was very tasty alongside sweet poptato fries. A good helping of Mac & Cheese was enjoyed by one of our group. We would visit again when in the area.

Came into the lovely Hope & Anchor for my birthday on 1st December.

We finally got to try the burgers.

My second visit her and once again not disappointed, my wife had lived with mustard mash which was wonderful, I had steak pie and mustard mash, both came with freshly cooked vegetables and a wonderful gravy, the whole design of the place is brilliant, well done all involved

Revamp/decor great. Seating arrangememts for food poor. Absolutely cannot knock the food, good value for money. Tonight card machine & tills down, fair enough these things happen but the way it was dealt with was not good. A lot of huffing & puffing from staff, 1 of the girls swore. Just very unprofessional.

Absolutely loved the decor and the service was great. I had a vegan burger which was fantastic and my sister had a chicken burger which was the best she'd ever had. Can't wait to come back and sample the puddings too.

I ate here for the first time last weekend with my wife and mates and we all had a great time.

Been a while since had a burger. Tried here for a change and found the burgers to be excellent. Plenty of meat and nice buns and well cooked. Fries and salad good. Nice selection of sweets available.

At last the Hope is open for food and what a choice. Burgers of all shapes and sizes. Home made pies, lots of choice for vegetarians. And desserts to die for. It’s going to be a regular place for me. Great team doing the food, Maria and Milly, with a little help from Matt himself. Go and try it for yourself.

The venue is stylish and completed to a very high standard - both in terms of materials and attention to detail. Staff are friendly, professional and well trained.
