I am a regular customer but today's order was not the best... The pepper steak was warm and there was hardly any meat mostly bones and the fries was cold... plus I was given a small portion.... dumplings where cold also the ackee and salfish just barely warm. and delivery kept changing.... I will order again because I know the standards but today was not it.

So annoyed. Today’s experience was nothing like my last one. Completely intentionally messed up my order. How is this stewed chicken? I asked for large stewed chicken and you’ve even wrote it on there so you knew full well. My other meal you said you ran out of stewed chicken so added fried chicken instead. My dumpling you swapped for a rock hard festival which had been in the microwave to long. Waited 30minutes to even get it all. Won’t be going back kmt

How come the food always arrive without vegetables even if you request it, are times that hard and you only receive 3 platins for £2.40. I don't think I will be wasting my money with anymore orders 🥲

Ordered mutton soup and there were no veg or meat in it tasted vile and the fried chicken was pink inside but over cooked on the outside on some pieces.

My new go to, barbe fried chicken is beautiful, I just wish they would put some of that sauce on the rice. A little pricey especially as I have a big family but I guess that's the norm in 2025. I usually order here when I can't be bothered cooking but I'm always satisfied and feel like I've eaten well! NO BULLET RICE EITHER! THEY USE BASMATI🎊🥳

Was disappointed. Paid £17 for a meal and I was sent a box of bones! I know that mutton has bone in it but there was literally no meat! I had 3 pieces in the whole box and my order was also missing an item. Will not be ordering from here again

Already posted that best mutton soup I've ever had from a carribean takeaway but since I made that review everytime I go to get mutton soup they've skeaus sold out and only chicken soup or red pea soup left. So gutted best soup ever aswel. Lovely telephone manner. Noticed that shop has started to shut a bit earlier aswel. Should stay open til late but stil best carribean takeaway I can most defo say that I've had food from. I would travel from other side of Birmingham if I moved that's how much I think of the food

I only order takeaway from here as I don’t live in Erdington but the food is always spot on in terms of flavour and even though I’m 6 miles away it’s still hot when it gets to me, definitely recommend

Honey Pot is the go-to spot for authentic Caribbean flavors! I ordered the oxtail dinner with rice and peas and steamed veg, and it was perfection—tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. Bad service with an attitude, food mediocre. Theres plenty of better places to eat, do not eat here, save your money eat elsewhere.

Was looking forward to trying this place out, put a order through ubereats, got a email after around 5 minutes saying they don’t have the barbe fry chicken so I changed the meal to jerk chicken, then got a message saying preparing order, waited around another 20 minutes to get a email saying they cancelled my order. If you can’t complete a order don’t make your customers wait 30 odd minutes and then cancel, uber eats have a option to call your customers as I’ve been in this position before with other restaurants and it’s been sorted on the phone and the order has been changed. Waste of time

I would not order from the Honeypot Restaurant again as I am still waiting for the refund of the missing soup. When the food was delivered there was a note in the bag stating they had run out of soup and I would get a refund but I have still not had a refund or any contact regarding this and am still waiting for the £6.00 charged. I was disappointed with the service and will stick with Island Spice where I have never had any issues and the food is great.

After seeing this place on TikTok decided to try it and have honestly been back several times since. EVERYTHING I’ve had has been 🔥. The red peas soup meat or vegetarian option is sooooo good. Wings, various dinners, fry dumplins and festivals all hit the spot! Can’t recommend this place enough….but certainly will try. Staff cool too!

Usually the oxtail is spot on but ok this occasion I wasn’t impressed. Tasted a lot of ketchup and was very chewy.

my order was wrong 😕 the delivery driver wouldn't take back order and told me to ring the shop. The shop was helpful and and told me to request a refund on the app but that doesn't include my delivery fee and tip I put on order for driver. shop told me to keep the wrong order which was a dry mutton pattie and large mutton soup

We pre ordered a wide variety of food for a corporate event in Coventry. When I arrived to collect my order I was politely greated by the owner and the chef. My order was ready on time as promised. All those who tasted the food at the event were stunned by the taste and flavours. "Perfection", "out of this world", "I'll be travelling to Birmingham from Coventry to get more for me and my family", "How do we go about having another event soon so we can get more", "I've never tasted wings like those".......those were just a handful of the compliments made about the food.

Absolutely loved the oxtail dinner with rice and peas. I would definitely give it 5 stars and some. However, a big no, no on the ackee and saltfish. It was full of oil, and festivals were not festivals at all. Would definitely suggest that they review their recipe on that. May try them again.

Amazing food best I've ever had 100 percent in flavour and yes I would defo recommend ... I ordered off uber eats and delivery was on point. The fpod I had which was mutton and oxtail and rice and peas with steam veg was an XL meal lasted me 2 days. Will be having that again for sure. 🙏💜

Delicious food. Fried wings were sensational. Distinctive flavours of the curry sauces with the prawns, chicken, and mutton were delightful. Only had a bit of rice left over. We'll worth the wait at a busy time on a Sunday evening.

Used to be my favourite food shop, girl serving kept us waiting over 30 Mins and when asked where the food is it was packed and she just failed to tell us not the first time either

I have just had ackee and saltfish steamed veg and had 3 big bones in the saltfish! Nearly choked, I took photos and deliveroo didn't want to know, luckilyy grandson hadn't tried it else it could have been a fatal choking, first and last time I shall order from you! Deliveroo wouldn't refund me, will honeypot? I have just had telephone conversation with Mariah, so lovely and concerned about my experience, I have been offered the same meal again on the house but her which is very kind and considerate and such a fast response too, so now I am looking forward to visiting there in the next week, as due to my health I can't walk there so my daughter will drive me there and she will probably order more off the menu too lol! The food was really good. There was one item out of stock so didn’t come, they were unable to contact me due to an issue with the number in app however they left a note in the bag explaining and I appreciated that.

The small girl that serves behind the counter comes across very unfriendly, seems like she’s never been shown how to smile and clearly doesn’t know customer service which is such a shame because I really like their food but I won’t be spending my money there again. They also charge people more to have ‘meals’ of meat and fries but if you were to order a portion of meat and fries on the side it’s cheaper yet you get exactly the same amount! I made them aware of this and there was no apology given, she actually seemed to have an attitude when refunding me the £1.50 extra they tried to charge me just for calling it a ‘meal’ rather than a portion and side. In response to the owners response - since when are people only allowed to write reviews on the how the food tastes? I had a bad experience in terms of customer service, and I even mentioned it was a shame because I liked the food. Also since when does CCTV pick up the atmosphere and energy? She did not smile once, hardly spoke and barely made eye contact. I have been a few times, and she has always presented unfriendly. Did your CCTV also pick up that I had asked her how many wings come in the meal and she stated 5, yet your portion size of wings is 5, so make that make sense please. I did not ‘feel’ overcharged, I was, and there was also no communication to follow to inform us of the refund or having spoke to yourself regarding it. As a professional business you should be prepared for criticism instead of trying to make excuses for your poor customer service - your response alone says a lot. Have an even better day 🙂

I was recommended to this restaurant by my friend. I honestly was scared to try. The curry goat was a 10/10 the flavours had me thinking I was back in Jamaica 🇯🇲 real authentic Jamaican food people. You need to sample it now now.

The callalo was cooked lovely and fresh. Curry mutton melted in the mouth. This is the best jamiacan food I've tasted. Will return.

Absolutely delicious I had the large two meat dinner oxtail and mutton with rice and peas and steamed veg. Was thrilled to find the oxtail had butterbeans and good tasting spinners too and the mutton so flavourful. Delivered piping hot with the driver. Recommended!

Food was on time but unfortunately two items were missing and this is the second time this have happened that I've paid for items from the menu and only when I open the bags that I realised Food items were missing. Tried to speak to Honeypot, only to be told that their system is frozen and they cannot help me. Surly, they should be checking what's on the receipt and making sure all items of Food are being delivered to the customer!!!!

The was ok. I ordered Large Beetroot juice but received green juice. The size didn't seem large. Ordered stem veg, what I got was not steamed veg. There was hardly any veg. I could have called them but instead I don't think I would order from again. It was my first time ordering from.

This takeaway does a very good example of how Caribbean food should taste. The mutton was seasoned to perfection with the right amount of pepper. Although the mutton wasn’t to my taste because it was a little on the sweet side and a bit dry. I asked for very little rice, unfortunately this was ignored, I received enough rice to feed a family of 4. The vegetables I requested more of was just a mouthful. On the whole I would recommend the honeypot.
