The service here is great but the food wasn't as good chicken was very dry like it has been cooked and left since yesterday

The small girl that serves behind the counter comes across very unfriendly, seems like she’s never been shown how to smile and clearly doesn’t know customer service which is such a shame because I really like their food but I won’t be spending my money there again. They also charge people more to have ‘meals’ of meat and fries but if you were to order a portion of meat and fries on the side it’s cheaper yet you get exactly the same amount! I made them aware of this and there was no apology given, she actually seemed to have an attitude when refunding me the £1.50 extra they tried to charge me just for calling it a ‘meal’ rather than a portion and side. In response to the owners response - since when are people only allowed to write reviews on the how the food tastes? I had a bad experience in terms of customer service, and I even mentioned it was a shame because I liked the food. Also since when does CCTV pick up the atmosphere and energy? She did not smile once, hardly spoke and barely made eye contact. I have been a few times, and she has always presented unfriendly. Did your CCTV also pick up that I had asked her how many wings come in the meal and she stated 5, yet your portion size of wings is 5, so make that make sense please. I did not ‘feel’ overcharged, I was, and there was also no communication to follow to inform us of the refund or having spoke to yourself regarding it. As a professional business you should be prepared for criticism instead of trying to make excuses for your poor customer service - your response alone says a lot. Have an even better day 🙂

I was recommended to this restaurant by my friend. I honestly was scared to try. The curry goat was a 10/10 the flavours had me thinking I was back in Jamaica 🇯🇲 real authentic Jamaican food people. You need to sample it now now.

The callalo was cooked lovely and fresh. Curry mutton melted in the mouth. This is the best jamiacan food I've tasted. Will return.

Too much seasoningsalt and oil. More natural seasoning needed onion, garlic and sweet peppers.

The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced, tender, and bursting with flavour, while the plantains were sweet and caramelised 👌🏿 The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with colourful decor and lively music that made the experience even more enjoyable. Ackee and saltfish oily. Festival and plantain was rock hard didnt taste fresh like they had been microwaved? Very disappointed

Absolutely delicious I had the large two meat dinner oxtail and mutton with rice and peas and steamed veg. Was thrilled to find the oxtail had butterbeans and good tasting spinners too and the mutton so flavourful. Delivered piping hot with the driver. Recommended!

Food was on time but unfortunately two items were missing and this is the second time this have happened that I've paid for items from the menu and only when I open the bags that I realised Food items were missing. Tried to speak to Honeypot, only to be told that their system is frozen and they cannot help me. Surly, they should be checking what's on the receipt and making sure all items of Food are being delivered to the customer!!!!

Fantastic food full of taste. I'd buy again but definitely 10 out of 10. I had curried mutton and rice and peas. Plantain was nice and soft but firm and the fried dumpling light and fluffy. Very impressed with my meal. I would highly recommend and I'm a fussy eater so you know they must be good

Great flavourful food as always.

The was ok. I ordered Large Beetroot juice but received green juice. The size didn't seem large. Ordered stem veg, what I got was not steamed veg. There was hardly any veg. I could have called them but instead I don't think I would order from again. It was my first time ordering from.

I had Ackie and saltfish there was 2 Ackie in it and peas soup had no meat in it and it was very thick the mac &cheese was very hard on top the best thing I had was the fry dumpling I was very disappointed

This takeaway does a very good example of how Caribbean food should taste. The mutton was seasoned to perfection with the right amount of pepper. Although the mutton wasn’t to my taste because it was a little on the sweet side and a bit dry. I asked for very little rice, unfortunately this was ignored, I received enough rice to feed a family of 4. The vegetables I requested more of was just a mouthful. On the whole I would recommend the honeypot.

Was recommended this place by someone, so thought we will go try it out Ordered Curried mutton, Oxtail with butter beans, Fry chicken, Jerk chicken and some pepper prawns. Each dinner is served with rice n peas or plain rice and steam vegetables Curried mutton was tasty, meat was nice n tender. Oxtail with butter beans was alright taste wise likewise the fry chicken and jerk chicken. Pepper prawns were something different but definitely to my mates liking. Saying all that, definitely think the portions were on the smaller side, compared to how much meat you get considering all the meals were medium Like I always say everyones taste buds differ and opinions are different and this is my opinion only....

This is what the area needed and close to home. A decent West Indian takeaway with nice food and service. The ones in Erdington over the years have gone down hill and you normally have to travel out of the area to find somewhere.

Great food, big portions at a good price. Got the jerk chicken and fries and a curry mutton with the rice and peas. Lasted us two days and the jerk chicken was genuinely spicy! Will definitely come back again.

Its just the second time gettin food from here, 1st had a mutton curry and now sum jerk chicken and you can literally taste the pride and passion that they put in when cookin. Definitely recommend, fresh, tasty, good music, politeness, all you can ask for! Its that good that i thought to give a review and ive never ever left any reviews anywhere in my life ! No one turned up to deliver the food kmt

I have only been twice last Saturday and yesterday. Last week my friend bought me Red Pea soup with salt beef my my my my my it tasted so good I was humming while eating it. I went back yesterday to treat my granddaughter (good excuse), but the chef switched up the menu, and i reluctantly had 1 chicken soup and 1 mutton soup but no regrets they still tasted good.

Portion size of the ackee and saltfish was appalling. An animal would not appreciate it. The plantin was overly soggy. Worst meal based on portion size in the world. I want to say the quality was good but there was barely anything to taste. Realistically I'd like my money back or a better and bigger portion. No one should have to be extorted like this.

Excellent Service, They had ran out of an option I had chosen and called me to let me know. I didn’t receive the call and so left a voicemail. They replaced my option with something similar and left a note in the bag. Love that for me! HoneyPot, you have resorted my faith in yard food shops and I will be returning. If you want to eat some good food that will awaken your taste buds and fill your belly then Honey Pot is the place! I was so pleased to learn that a caribbean takeaway was opening so near to where I live and even better, after trying the food for the first time I knew it was going to be a place I would order from regularly. My absolute fave at the moment is the Ital calaloo with dumplings and the stew peasss!! 😋 The Food is always fresh and the beautiful lady behind the counter is always very welcoming and polite.

I have ordered from here before and it was great. However, this visit was pretty dismal. Hence 1 star for Service! Went straight from work, to order dinner. The young lady behind the counter (glasses, all black clothing, hair in low bun) clearly has no idea of customer service nor politeness. She left me waiting to take my order for between approximately 5- 10mins as she stood gazing out the window. In the end I had to ask if she was serving , as it became clear she was not going to ask if she could help me. I gave me my order request, to which she said "we have no fried dumplings". I replied: "Are you making any more?" Her reply with a shrug "I don't know!" So I asked if she could ask please? She begrudgingly walked slowly to the kitchen passing an eye rolling look to the other customer who was waiting for his order, clearly as if to say "oh my gosh, I just told you we have no fried dumplings, what is your problem". She retuned and told me "They (not they're) not making any more" I simply said: "Ok I'll leave it Thanks, as that was the side I really wanted". The young lady's counter customer service was absolutely dismal, rude with a bad attitude. So they have lost my custom. Really.......??!! Honeypot - Fried dumpling is a side, they have sold out and won't be making any more!!! That's like a chip shop selling out of chips and telling customers the rest of the evening there won't be anymore chips to go with your fish, pie or kebab!!!!!!! There is another young lady that works behind the counter and she is lovely, very polite, and attentive to customers, she was busy in the kitchen.

absolutely shocking i had a small curry mutton and rice 3 pieces of meat all of which were burnt and over cooked, the steamed veg was old and tasted awful my little one had fried chicken and fries the fries were literally oil as you ate one oil litreally smothered you mouth my daughter moaned they were hard and no potato inside obviously this was because again iver cooked never again and do not recommend i payed £23,00 and was absolutely shocked at the quietly of food was a complete waste of money , i'm not stranger to this cuisine but i've never has such appalling food and for the price it's ridiculous the cheaper shops serve better quality and portions
