The Holyhead in Coventry

I have eaten at the Holyhead many times but this time I took my 94 year old mum for a treat and she loved it. The Manager was really helpful showing us to our table and bringing our drinks. We had the sea bass and it was amazing. The waiting staff were lovely too. My mum is going to get her friends to come with her again in the near future. Can't recommend the Holyhead highly enough.

Go in every now and then as it's a very nice place to go for a drink with a friend or even some food especially in summer when the sun eventually pops out. The bar staff are also all very good and can have a laugh! Forgot to put in my number plate when I popped in for half hour and recieved a parking ticket recently, the team were very quick at getting me the details and getting the parking ticket removed over night with no hassle whatsoever!

This is a very pleasant chain pub. You're not going to get haute cuisine, but the food is very pleasant, and the drinks have variety, and the staff are very pleasant. Worth a midweek treat, but best to avoid at weekends when the crowds descend.

Dropped in to swap tickets for Cov vs Wolves, did not realise that the car park was a separate entity and ended up with a fine. The staff were really helpful and quashed the ticket. Top people.

Amazing service, breakfast was lovely and served fast, all food was cooked perfect and came out hot, we all enjoyed the breakfast and will definitely be back, manager Gareth was amazing too so thank you

I visited the pub for lunch with my sister. We ordered an the app so didn't go to the bar. Food was good enough and service was friendly. However, two weeks later we both received parking fines from using the car park. Neither of us saw any signs, either in the car park or in the pub telling us to pay or sign into a machine. After looking on trip advisor, I phoned the pub and emailed photos of the fines and a copy of the receipt. They managed to get the fines cancelled, which was great.

My recent experience at the Holyhead Pub left me pleasantly surprised and thoroughly satisfied with their exceptional customer service. After receiving an unexpected parking fine following my visit, I reached out to the pub for assistance. Despite my initial concern, the staff promptly directed me to contact them via email to address the matter. To my relief, the next day I received a response from the manager, Robert. He promptly and efficiently resolved the issue after I provided him with the details of the parking ticket. Robert’s swift action and understanding demeanor truly impressed me, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and service .I highly recommend this establishment not only for its inviting atmosphere and quality offerings but also for its outstanding customer service. I recently visited the Holyhead pub to celebrate a friend’s birthday to a week later receiving a car park charge notice! After moving out the area some time ago I was unaware that this system was now in place. I contact the pub right away and spoke with a lovely lady called Loretta who assured me they would rectify the issue. The next day, the manager Robert contacted me and advised they had cancelled the charge. I’m so grateful to the staff for sorting this issue for me straight away. A* Service! It was lovely to return back to the pub - always a great atmosphere in there! Thank you.

Popped in for dinner at the last minute & was given a table for 2. Ordered our food & drink using the app & drinks arrived quickly. The meal my husband had ordered had run out so the waitress told him he could order another meal if his choice at no extra cost. All the staff & management are always very polite & work really hard. It’s a lovely pub as an alternative to cooking after a busy day. We go regularly and they never disappoint. X

Visited the Holyhead for a catch up with my friend and despite signs all over the pub saying I need to enter my reg into the tablet to avoid a parking fine, I didn’t do it. Therefore I got a parking fine, however I messaged the pub on Facebook and within two days the fine was cancelled! I wasn’t expecting this as it was totally my own fault but the manager was really helpful. The staff in the Holyhead are always really friendly and the food is always delicious.

Took my son here for a couple of drinks while I was in Coventry on business as he lives there. Lovely friendly staff, and the beer was good. Didn't pay for the car park as I wrongly assumed it would be free as it was after 6pm, so when I got home a week later, I had a lovely parking fine waiting for me. I emailed the pub and they very kindly had the ticket reversed for me, which was amazing! :-) Remember to validate when parking! Also, the food that other people were having looked delicious.

Enjoyed a great meal here with friends, served by helpful, friendly staff in a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. If parking here though, make sure you register your car at the bar as I overlooked this and was sent a fine. I spoke to a lovely, helpful assistant manager who explained how to contact the manager. He was also very helpful, dealing with this quickly and has now sent me a receipt for the cancellation of the fine of which I am most grateful. I look forward to returning here.
