Absolutely fabulous food at very cheap prices. Proper homemade food, including homemade chips! Eaten here a couple of times and both times have been amazing

Dropped by to celebrate my retirement and was not disappointed. Very simple, but this is what a good old English pub should be like. Not pretentious, but welcoming with good food and beer.

I am trying to say don't go as it is far too popular and we can't get in now so please don't go and leave room for us. But all that would be very unfair

Friends who regularly visit this pub took us for lunch there today. Very popular old pub, every table was taken, we havd reserved which is advised. Good local ales, food was a limited menu but home cooked and freshly cooked to order, portions not large but most of the customers were retirement age and probably have smaller appetites, would go again.

We've been coming here for nearly 15 years and it remains a simple, unpretentious "local". This time we had a family Xmas Eve dinner, and very good it was too. I had the mixed grill which was a large plateful with chips in a side dish. My wife had the ham, egg & chips, others had the fish combo, scampi & chips, and child's fish & chips. We followed with sherry trifle, ice creams and bread & butter pudding. A folk duo were playing in the bar and we went in there for a sing-song. I managed to knock over a pint of lager and the bar staff were kind and understanding!

Lovely food, fab mixed grill and lemon sole. Chips are amazing best in ages. Couldn't believe how cheap good beer and wine was too. Very friendly staff and lovely pub atmosphere.

We had a lovely evening. A cosy pub with 'pub' food. Nothing fancy but lovely hot tasty food at a good price. Staff were very friendly. We were able to sit and chat. Thank you.

Been past this a zillion times, never thought to call in before: glad we did. It's a fairly small establishment, with two smallish eating areas either side of a pub bar area. It's a proper old traditional country pub, and no aspirations for fine dining (NOT a criticism), just a decent selection of pub 'standards', a few fish dishes, steaks, gammon etc.. No starters, at least on the night (Wednesday) that we visited. Very busy for mid-week; a good sign. The food is generous, well prepared, and incredible value. Super for a decent, 'cheap' but still base quality, evening out, in traditional surroundings. Proper beer pub, not a great wine selection. Service was very efficient and friendly, despite being quite short handed - respect. Recommended highly for good basic food at very reasonable prices!

The beer is kept well at this pub but the few meals I've had a few meals here and they were all ok for pub meals but the portions were small. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was ok but the decor needs attention.

Although the menu is very 1970's retro, this is a real value for money establishment. The food is freshly cooked to order all mains are well under a tenner, including mixed grill, lemon sole etc. The range of ales from Hobsons brewery in Cleobury Mortimer is excellent. The staff are warm and friendly as are the many regulars who return week after week.

I Lived for 17 years 2 miles from this place and NEVER once visited until last Monday. More fool me. Great pub, good atmosphere, good draught ales, Hobsons, and a concise menu of excellent Pub Grub. Ooooh, and at a very good price. Pleasant Hosts amke this a place to go over and over again. Book a table to ensure a place to sit. It's cosy but very worth a visit. AND your wallet will be happy too.

We visit The Dry Spy quite frequently for in my opinion, the best Sunday lunch locally. Last night, along with friends we visited on a Wednesday evening to try the fixed price midweek special menu. Absolutely brilliant, plenty of choice, great to have option of 1 = £12, 2 = £15 or 3 =£18 priced courses, all good size portions. The steak on mains is fabulous, as was the fish & chips. Staff so welcoming & attentive.

Well what can I say! Finally got the chance to try this lovely cafe. Went with a friend for breakfast, the menu was great, lots to choose from, we had the Courtyard breakfast which was lovely, this consisted of 1 sausage, 1 bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato’s, beans and toast and I’ve got to say it was top quality food and made fresh. Fantastic little cafe. I will be returning to try the afternoon tea. Highly recommended! 👍

This place has been closed for a few years now due to the owner sadly passing away unexpectedly. She was a lovely lady and in the short time that she owned the place, she transformed it.

I was here at brunch time today and a young chap, I didn’t quite catch his name but I think it was digbee, he served me my brunch. And he was quite rude at first as he just slammed my drinks on the table and walked off, didn’t say a word or didn’t smile. I let that go and decided to carry on with my day; but then when he came to collect my drinks and proceeded to swear under his breath and say “this fat b****” . I found this extremely enraging and unkind. As a result of this young disrespectful chap, I won’t be approaching this cafe any time again! Disgraceful!
