The Hollies Transport Cafe in South Staffordshire

I was unfortunate enough to arrive just before shift change at 1400 hrs. They didn't bother to tell me about it. After waiting for 20 minutes for a Cheeseburger and chips I was forced to chase it up ! It came but wasn't overly impressed with food or the level of service. They didn't even apologise to me and all they said was " That's the morning shift". I won't be coming back hete till it's renovated and open as normal. At the moment " DON'T BOTHER ". COOK IN THE CAB " Or use truckers rest.

it would be good for the breakfast portion to be bigger and for the burger to include salad

Great place and food..I have an assistant dog and at first was refused entry even with it being clear on my dogs harness and lead. We got an apology and swiftly moved in doors out of the rain. So all good in the end

We stopped and had a lovely breakfast on our way home from a motorcycle touring weekend in wales. It was a Sunday morning and it was a mixture of locals who’ve popped in for breakfast and truck drivers and people like ourselves who were passing through. The food was really good and came out from the kitchen in good time. The staff were very helpful and polite. We’ll definitely stop again when we are passing.

Living on past reputation not gone down hill but completely fell off cliff. Food massively over priced very poor quality. Sausage extra cheap bacon cooked on radiator. Crap oven chips. Place wasn't even busy.

The lady at the showers is a jerk!!! I paid 34 lire and they didn't let me take a shower with my wife, on the grounds that they have to pay 2.5 lire! I do not recommend this parking!!!! The tables are smelly and dirty, not cleaned after each customer like normal!!!! You sit at the table in the leftover food left by others! Outbreak of money infection! In the parking lots on the highway it's 1000 times better, and free! Showers for drivers should be free since we pay for parking! What are the facilities offered in this money?!!! Shame!

Not been here for some years, its much improved, good food, clean, friendly and helpful staff.

I've driven past here for 30+ years and never been in so I took my dad for breakfast this week. I was surprised at how clean and welcoming it was. Staff were happy, helpful and efficient The food was fresh, well cooked, hot and excellent value for money. Dad had a mega breakfast and I had a bacon butty, both were really nice. The café was clean with excellent facilities for drivers. Would highly recommend this place.

This is a Truck stop. It's not for fine dining. What it does offer is a decent meal at a fair price. The staff are very friendly as well.

In for one night en route to Carlisle. Complimentary tea or coffe available to staying guests, free parking. Nice confortable rooms with en suites. Lovely helpful staff. Nice food, it’s kind of chips with everything place. Would definitely stay here again

There is almost always a parking space. Food just like in England (great for me). The service was nice and smiling. Showers and toilets clean and tidy :) a good place to rest.

This is still one of the very best truckstops in the UK, the food is still as exemplary as ever, all the staff are amazing and friendly, the showers and toilet facilities are always clean and warm, it can be counted on one hand, the amount of other truckstops that can rival here, it's just unfortunate that in this current climate good truckstops are now few and far between, and guaranteed, The Hollies will never let you down, it will still be here, and still be as good, when i'm no longer here, a massive thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻

Easy to find and close to m6 motorway but sadley has become a victim of its own success in its full come 18.30hrs .offers full clean shower facilities and food is high standard with take away to eat in cab ...has a bar which was busy and very loud as truck stops go its of a great standard .but again its a victim of its own success.....its got full fuel facilities and is on snap .parking is on level ground and its very tidy . You have to go to main building to book in which means walking between trucks with can be a bit dodgy . Got a decent nights sleep on level ground but trucks are coming and going around the clock so if a light sleeper your gonna be woke a lot .

As an hgv driver we often park at the hollies have done for many years this spot has seriously gone down hill the food was cheap tasting and just thrown on the plate definitely not worth the price paid won't go again other drivers have said the same .. very disappointed

First class service, its the oldest transport cafe in uk. Very reasonable prices on food. Accommodation also available.

It's a great place to relax good food snap payments. A very down to earth no nonsense truck stop. If I had one criticism it would be the showers need a update. They are clean though just need to be a little modern

I parked up yesterday at this truck stop for the night, enjoyed the food I had the gammon plate at a reasonable price. The park is quite big, in the shop plenty things to choose, the toilets are average but in usable condition. The reason that I gave a star is that before having my dinner I was fortunate to buy a double rum for just £3.40. After I had my meal I had the urge to have another double rum, but ive been charged £6. So if a manager see this post I want to have some bank details so I can give the difference back to the owner as I don't want this burden to go towards the poor bartender. Thanks

Really? Hash browns are supposed to be sometimes a little soft , that's ok sometimes a little bit hard but when I get a hash brown that need a jackhammer to cut into then there is something wrong. It was inedible and the chef/cook should have checked but obviously didn't. Really let me down

Place is filthy with cobwebs in corners, food on uncleaned tables and floor which staff left and other people sat down and also patched up seats with gaffa tape. The staff needs to be changed or taught how to deal with customers too as they all seem to have an attitude. Had a full breakfast and tbf it's one of the worst I've tasted, it was luke warm like it had sat around, the fried bread tasted like it was water as there was that much grease, Sausages seemed cheap and they had no flavour. Used to be a brilliant place when it was greasy lils but not good anymore.

Food at a very price, great service & a relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of parking space away from the lorries, so you're not intimidated by the wagons.

Kitchen closed by 3 they let anybody in it’s a truck stop for Christ sake motor bikes reving the guts out of the stupid bikes give this place a wide birth totally gone down hill since certac have taken over

This place is a brilliant truckstop, good food, good pints of beer and showers that can accommodate big men, can get diesel at this truck stop as well and there is a truck wash during the day

New owners since i was last there. Had a spicy burger it was over fried on a dry bun no salad no butter, but the chips were nice.

The food is why I go there but it's gone down hill the last six months.20years never had reason to complain but it's so bad now braised steak was hard and looked as if it was cooked years ago.A must miss unless desperate.this is a chip butty $2.65 a disgrace

Came here for years and was really nice..Last time I went food was rank service bad. This time was completely empty and said they ran out of food what a dump A5 cafe down the road is 10/10 absolutely no need to stop here again when a far superior cafe is less than 2 minutes away
