Brilliant stay, Barry is such a friendly host! Loved every minute

Went to the Crag Bar for dinner. Had the Chow Mein and it was delicious! Just what was needed after a big day out walking. Great flavours and spices and a generous portion for way less money than you'd spend in Keswick! Would 100% recommend to any veggie/vegans looking for a nice meal out!

Absolutely delicious sweet and sour, wonderfully kind staff! A lovely rustic pub, perfect if you’re staying in the nearby campsite or walking in the area. Absolute must visit if you’re staying in or around Keswick.

Will you ever update the Crag Bar? Such a shame as this could be a lovely place for a good local pint. Please remove the awful vinyl garden tables and the random shower screen at the bar. Such a shame as the owner is so friendly.

Second time we've been here! Always try and visit when in the lakes! Cute place, very friendly! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced compared to most places plus huge portions! Can't go wrong!

Just stopped in for an evening meal after a long walk. Had the spicy schezuan meal and it was delicious. Thank you.

Strange strange place. Only went in for a drink at the bar. Seemed like a derelict pub from the 1960s. The barman was very nice and polite, but the place is in desperate need of a refurbishment. The selection of drinks is dated. I wouldn't be recommending it to anybody

I had a lovely meal in the bar at the hotel yesterday evening. Barry, the owner was very pleasant and polite, despite being rushed off his feet while we were in. The vegan food was very tasty, good portions and reasonable prices. Some great music in the background! Very friendly place. Definitely recommend.

The sweetest little place, was served by a lovely man who was very welcoming. They have the best vegetarian and vegan food, was surprised just how good it was. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

Couldn't reach them by phone to make a reservation to eat :( went there, turned out it was closed. Don't know why or for how long. Really wanted to have dinner here.

Service was great, very welcoming and friendly owners, rooms very simple but clean which was more important. Location is great as there are great hiking places all around within walking and driving distances.

Great in every way except for the entrance to the car park having a step. Not for sports cars.

Was a nice place to stay only negative would be the ramp going into it damaged car with having lower suspension 😑 other then tht can't complain

Little gem. While the restaurant was closed due to bad weather, they were happy to accommodate by cooking up some delicious vegan Chips and deep fried carrots. Delicious with a cold local pint!

Stayed here on our school trip 55yrs ago never forgot what a great place it was and how we had a great holiday.

Love this place so much, we've stayed multiple times and wouldn't go anywhere else in the area. Food is second to none and the owners are really nice

They offer vegetarian food. It is run by a very nice family.

Polite, good breakfast, small room, £20 per night for your pooch (extra cleaning charge)

Amazing vegetarian meal. My boyfriend rarely eats vegetarian meals but said it was the best he's ever had. The 'duck' wraps were delicious. Small non-resident bar and it is a little dated but it's nice and the staff are friendly. The beer garden is lovely too.

Lovely place with bags of character. What makes it special is the service. We arrived later than expected and they had stopped serving food. They went out of their way to generously provide me with stacks of deliciousness. Would highly recommend as a place to stay for the weekend especially if you have dogs. Will definitely return.

Another fantastic stay at this hotel. Our fourth time now. Excellent hosts, NOTHING! is too much trouble for them and they never stop.

A dated place yes, but for vegetarian and vegan food options it is amazing, and you can't argue with value for money. I would certainly recommend for food. It's not a pub environment where you could have children running amok, instead a quiet pint of local brewed ale.

Went to use the pub side with a friend. The place is dated and a throwback to the sixties in a bad way. There was no beer on tap, no lager on tap. Only bitter available was Tetley cold flow which turned out to be one of the worse pints I have had for a long time. Owner seemed intent of getting rid of his remaining stocks of Newcastle Brown, all three bottles of it. To be honest going by the state of the place there is no way I would have food there. Needs a serious revamp to bring this place up to anything resembling a decent pub, avoid
