My son and daughter in law had there wedding reception here just over a week ago .also i had my wedding breakfast and reception 12 years ago .absolutely fantastic place can't fought it all staff are amazing so lovely. Highly recommend to hire .thank you for everything

We just had our wedding reception and party here on 14/09/24 and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! We had the most amazing day and the staff here really helped with that. A big shout out to Rob who went above and beyond on the day and of course to Chris the landlord who helped organise our day and do everything and more considering how quick we got it booked etc☺️ Anyone looking for somewhere to book a function highly recommend the hassocks🥰

Great venue to host a party for friends and family with live music and BBQ. Good quality PA that’s easy to use and well maintained. Food was high quality from local sources with generous portions. Chris and team were professional, helpful and friendly. A real bonus to have a private outdoor space too with seating.

We held our Wedding Reception/party at the Hassocks Hotel yesterday evening, I would highly recommend hiring this space for any function we had the most perfect evening. All the staff were so helpful from beginning to end and went above and beyond. The food was delicious and nothing was left over at the end of the evening and everything was run so professional. Thank you Chris and everyone at the Hassocks Hotel who helped make our day so perfect and a day we will never forget. Best Wishes Mr & Mrs Chapman

Very busy pub with lots of TV screens showing sky sports. This pub restaurant is located right next to Hassocks railway station. Had trouble finding a parking bay in the car park. Not sure if I would return.

Brilliant pub highly recommended. Gracey and her team are very welcoming they catered for a table of 7 with no pre booking. The food quality was excellent and very delicious will be passing through there again! Well deserved 5* !

Often the pub by a station can be a bit grim but the Hassocks is a pleasing exception. Proper community pub for the whole family - pool tables, playground, green areas out back for football and a large function room with its own bar. Food is decent pub fare too. Gets pretty busy on weekends but not completely rammed.

Went for a Christmas function. Service at the private bar was very slow - had to call out to the bar people who were chatting to each other! Function room uninspiring. Food was good and a decent amount. Car parking a nightmare. May try it for lunch one day?

The Hassocks is a busy pub most times and most days Food exceptionally good. Nice range of beers. Private room available for social events Parking sometimes difficult but fee paying nearby . Enjoy you experience

This place is a gem. In a world of pubs closing left, right and centre and those that are managing to stay afloat in the current economic climate being less than half empty, this place is how a pub should be. It's been busy but not overly so, the landlord is a great guy and the bar staff are friendly, helpful and work hard. They have pool tables at one end of the pub, clean toilets and a decent function room with a separate bar. Situated right next to Hassocks station. It has a good number of parking spaces but if you can't find a space, the station has parking available.

Food was good and plenty of it.The restaurant area is pleasant. In my view what let the above down was the unpleasant waiter! Shame!

A great Sports Bar very popular with locals and visitors alike. We met with friends for lunch and a catch-up last Saturday - the food was superb, delivered so quickly, and piping hot. We will be back!

Nice pub, with loads of space, and lots of tables and seating available. Nice food menu for a good lunch, from standard pub dishes to basket meals and side dishes. The friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcome and the pub had a pleasant atmosphere. Free WiFi via 'The Cloud' and decent mobile signal. There's parking at the station car park and the train station 🚉 has easy links towards Brighton and London. It's also a great place to go if your vehicle is in the Station garage next door for a short while like an MOT for example. The pub also hosts guest street food sellers now and again as well as comedy nights and music. The breaded chicken fillets and curly fries are highly recommended 😋 I'm looking forward to my next visit 😊 👍

Great atmosphere for the world cup final. Landlord was very welcoming and sorted us some seats. Fair prices and friendly staff.

Venue still welcoming and enjoyable with a good selection of beers and snacks unfortuanately as with many venues the price increases through no fault of their own no longer make this a reasonably priced venue.

My friend a me went for a Sunday roast last sunday and I have to say it was the best roast I had had for ages so many different vegetables lovely beef and it came out piping hot staff so nice and friendly would highley recomened

A great local pub which is everything a pub should be these day - good for drinkers, good for food, good for families, good sports with lots of TVs, and a decent pool table. No wonder it's a popular place.

This is a popular meeting place in Hassocks and particularly well placed, right next to the station. Typical pub food and drinks at reasonable prices with a function room that is used for meetings, weddings and comedy nights.

We had a family wake at this hotel for our mum/wife/grandmother. The management and staff were professional, friendly, empathetic, non intrusive and very hygienic. The food was exactly what was ordered, fresh, tasty and appetising. The venue was clean, friendly and homely. A family run business with a friendly homely atmosphere.

We had our wedding reception at The Hassocks. It was absolutely stunning. Chris and his team went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food was amazing we had numerous compliments from our guests. I wish I could add photos to this review as it looked beautiful. Daren and my cannot recommend this venue enough.

Busy on a Saturday (no surprise there). Prices are ok. Lots of sport on TV. A decent boozer.

Excellent, we were only there to see a music gig, at the mid Sussex music hall (which is attached to the pub) the pub though seemed really friendly. Service was good and fast. So we had our drinks, then round the side to the music venue. So I will definitely go back in the future

We visited to take part in a quizz. Approx 16 people attended. The service provided by the pub was first class, from the care and attention to the quality of the pre-ordered lunch was very good. We would go back again

Nice size pub with plenty of seating inside and out. so glad they now sell Birra Moretti like lots of pubs at the moment. They have a pool table to witch is a bonus.

Went to a comedy night here. It was a good night with great staff. Apart from the one with a scenc of humour by pass. Other than that all was well. Hence four stars.

Visited for comedy night - good beer; will be back

My quest continues. I would be lying if I said I was sober on my arrival. Strange old day it's been. But there was a very important football game on and It was imperative that I observed the second half. Strange times call for masks and social distancing. Though many a fine gent passed me exclaiming "sh*t, mask." Not everyone it seemed, was as worried as Boris would suggest should be. A frantic yet professional bar maid served us. Table service seemed a new venture to her. She was doing a great job despite the clear confusion from the punters. Nobody knew the new norms. We all tried to follow the new way of life. Like novel warriors thrust upon a battlefield in a new technological age. But the mission was accomplished. We consumed beer. We watched the football and despite the draw, we had learned some great lessons. It's not about winning or loosing. It's about working together to know when to wear a mask. Sitting down is fine. You may do as you choose. But going to the toilet is a strictly mask wearing event. All being said. This was just another unremarkable adventure in the journey to eternity. But I spare a thought for the bar made. The shining beacon of hope in the crazy world of 2020.

Went to a 60s night, good music although it was way before I was born. Friendly service but it was a bit too crowded.

Nice bar staff and plenty of seating as it can get busy. Pool table and bar billiards available along with plenty of televisions to watch sporting events.

We had our RBL Keymer and Clayton women's section Christmas dinner there today. As always food excellent good service and curteous staff. The Hassock never disappoints. Would recommend to anybody. A huge thank you
