After funeral lunch. Great choice of food in a up market pub food style. Mussels in broth as a Main was delicious. Had to ask for a finger bowl however, and no soup spoon provided for the broth. Great experience. Delicious food and lovely ambience.

We enjoyed an outstanding meal here. It's a very busy, very popular place and although they had many tables to serve, the staff were always smiley, pleasant and happy to help. I thoroughly recommend.

Dog friendly is an understatement.... We honestly had the best time there last night! We were 15min late but still greeted really friendly, got a blanket for our dog like immediately, drinks and food came out quickly too. All the staff was warm and welcoming and friendly, there was not one bad thing to note. The place is also super cozy inside, they did a great job with the lighting. Will definitely go back. Did I mention the food was absolutely amazing?? Plenty of parking, nice and clean bathrooms. This place is almost too good to be true....

The stove was such a lovely warming feature. Staff were lovely and friendly and there was just the right balance of casual and formal- enough formality to be able to relay on professional service and privacy and enough informality to feel relaxed. Great food! Such good quality and not excessive portions - just high quality and wonderful flavour. Great find - I will be back and recommending.

The location is great, and parking is occasionally busy, but the car park is decent. They're closed more than we'd like, but that's common now. Decor is great, and the menu is excellent. The chef obviously knows what they're doing and cares, too. I would say it's not cheap, but it's better quality than most! The staff are polite, friendly and kind. The bathrooms are clean. There is hand gel after the exit. It is dog friendly. Would recommend.

What a fantastic find. I live in Wiltshire and my parents are in Hertfordshire and we met here for lunch one frosty Saturday lunchtime. The food was all delicious, the service attentive, friendly and efficient, and they were very happy for our Maltipoo to join us inside the bar area. We will be back!

I went here with 4 other friends for an Xmas meal. Unfortunately my friends father was rushed to hospital and couldn’t make it. I was pretty shocked to discover that we still had to pay for my friends meal even though he wasn’t there. We’d all paid a £10 deposit and would of understood that would be forfeited, but to all have to dip in to pay extra for his meal I felt was quite unnecessary. My friend checked their term & conditions but could not see anything that related to paying for the whole meal if you couldn’t attend. We were told we could share the meal or have it boxed up to take home which we agreed to. I understand that it’s tough running a business and overheads are high but I really don’t think this is good customer relations and won’t be going back again.

Two lovely Sunday roasts. Generous portions, crispy spuds, good Yorkshire… all the stuff people want in a decent roast. Will come again.

Great restaurant/pub. Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. So great to see a village pub busy with customers all enjoying themselves. The place was packed with people but service was still quick and the food delicious and beautifully presented.

The food was wonderful, we had the vegan burger and the regular burger and both were superbly cooked and full of flavour. Service was exemplary, special mention to Hope our server who was exceptional, really went the extra mile to accommodate our autistic son, she helped make our special meal such a joy.

Service was excellent and the food was amazing. There was 16 of us and all the food came out together and was exactly what we ordered .

Absolutely amazing! The staff was super friendly, the scenery and surroundings of pub were just stunning and the garden is truly fantastic. Food service was quick and the taste was an absolute win! Definitely coming back on a roast.

A lovely pub overall with great service and atmosphere. However, I found food a tad on the average side. We had a chicken liver parfait as a starter. I found it too bitter and runny for my liking, thought presentation and apricot chutney were lovely. We also had steaks, which were good, but nothing extraordinarily. The pudding was a massive disappointment. It was a chocolate soufflé from the specials and it was highly praised. To be frank, I found it borderline disgusting. A watery texture in soufflé. Nope, a definite no.

I visited The Harrow with a friend. We were served a delicious meal and were very pleased with the customer service. I have ordered Free range chicken breast and chocolate and hazelnut soufflé. Absolutely fantastic. Well done everyone.

My friend and I had a lovely evening at the Harrow very relaxed, clean and cosy feeling restaurant. The staff and Manager were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and I was delighted to see REAL sparkling tea was served, excellent for the designated drivers! Will definitely recommend and return in the future.

Probably one of the best roast I’ve ever had! Beef was great quality and the cauliflower cheese was amazing! Staff was lovely and pub had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend a Sunday roast here :)

We visited for a Sunday roast and sat in the Garden Room. The service was excellent and it was a beautiful setting for a late summer lunch. The only thing lacking from our roast dinner was a nice gravy - it was a tad watery but we would happily return.

Came on Saturday for some food after the online bookings system had plenty of space. Walked in to a basically empty restaurant and asked for a table for 1. Originally ignored and then told that the restaurant was fully booked and no option to sit at the bar or on a table in the bar area. I showed that I was able to book a table online for 15 minutes later which was met with a smirk and then some comment about the system being broken. Extremely unwelcoming and poor attitude, not what’s expected at a local pub.

Wouldn’t recommend the Pizzas but all the other food is FABULOUS! Regular visitors

The service here is INCREDIBLE. Special shout out to Hope who was brilliant. Food also divine, can highly recommend the onglet steak. Chef’s kiss! Honestly the best pub in the area for food and vibes. Feels like you’re on holiday. We did not take our children who would definitely not have appreciated it! Delightful for a date night. Will be returning!

The restaurant, bar and outside seating is all very nice and large, but the car park is far too small for the amount of people it can sit. And no side roads or streets to park in all private roads. We had the Camembert and bread to start, which was delicious we shared between 3 and had asked for the extra bread. When it got given to us there wasn’t any extra bread we had to ask 3 times before it arrived. Once it did another sourdough and pork spread platter had arrived we only ordered two so were confused. We ate it as extra , although we struggled wondering if they had just done it due to the delay for us. But at the end they had charged it to the table. All the starters were great the bread was delicious. The mains were all amazing as well. The burger had a good review from my partner. Our friends both had the two different cuts of steak and said it was very good. I had the pasta. It was okay but a little bland and needed a-lot more salt and pepper to help it. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert, I would not recommend it was very dry and wasn’t rich enough I was expecting it to be more moist and more sauce. I have had a lot better in many other places before.

No friendly greeting. Waited 40 minutes between starter and main course. Fish and chips awfull, way too much hard batter covering up 3 mouthfuls fish, chips overdone crisp and hard, very overpriced Crispy duck so over cooked it shot of the plate when trying to pick up with fork. This was a weekday lunch, not busy, plenty of staff. Decor lovely, toilets clean. It was a shame the food was so bad as the surroundings were lovely. Staff could do with guidance on customer service.

Always good food. Service is usually very good. This was our first visit on a Sunday and things were a little slower but, presumably only because it was busy.

Lovely Sunday lunch . We both had the roast dinner with a side order of cauliflower cheese. Food good and portions big. A bit of a wait to take the order but all perfect after that.

Tried their relatively new Pizza Kitchen over the weekend. Service and set up were all very good, but the pizza not so I'm afraid. The bases on both our pizzas were vey good, but the tomato base source tasted to be mostly puree with the same consistency evident too. Toppings weren't;t so great either - 4 cheeses for me, all a bit 'samey', and served with a knife barely sharp enough to cut butter, never mind a pizza base. Needs a little work on the ingredients set up, and then I think they are onto a winner here given the lovely covered garden setting.

Our four lunch's were chicken , slow cooked breast of lamb , crispy duck salad and fish & chips. Sheila loved the chicken which was really tasty , Andy enjoyed his fish/chips mushy peas , Frances enjoyed the salad but found the amount rather a lot and not crispy and my breast of lamb was very tasty , just a little chewy on the outside of the rolled breast . Overall loved the conservatory and will probably try a pizza next visit . Thankyou , Rob

We’ve lived in Aylesbury for 7 years and have finally found a good restaurant/pub. The meal , service and ambiance were fantastic. We had a lovely time celebrating my wife's birthday. We’ll definitely be booking again. Thank you

Eleven of us fed and watered in fine style - A regular group lunch repeated every couple of months. We would not dream of going anywhere else.

the venue is spectacular. well kept and very inviting. staff are very friendly and well trained and nothing is too much effort. but in comparison, the food was divine. we will definitely come back.

We have been planning to visit this place while ago, and choose to come on my husband birthday.... We have book lodge area as we have our dog with us. We have ordered Sunday roast, with beef, something like organic local supposed to be good quality beef, it was looking and tasted nice, but little bit raw too much, so I shared most of it with my dog ... My husband had it all... On the end, both of us all night struggle with stomach cramps etc.... including our dog. This turned disaster. Unfortunately we had very bad experience...

As usual the whole experience at The Harrow was amazing. Staff are always super friendly and the food was unreal. Never disappoints.

We went for Sunday lunch and nearly 90 minutes after ordering our main it still hadn’t arrived. The first course took at least half an hour. Then an urge gap. The kitchen clearly made a mistake or were disorganised - but other people seemed to be getting their food. The manager gave us our drinks and pudding for free which was appreciated. But not minded to hurry back with plenty of other Sunday lunch alternatives nearby. Lovely place so it’s a great pity.

Large, friendly location with attentive staff. Lots of families in for a Sunday roast and although our starters arrived quite quickly our mains took a further hour. Great place with lots of covers but can be overwhelmed when busy judging by our experience

Grand rural gastro-pub. Independently owned Free House with real ale, fine wines and great food. Table for 4 we had a late Sunday lunch in the sunshine in the outdoor Lodge area. Excellent, cheerful professional service from Darcy kept things ticking along nicely. Well staffed pub, with consistent top class management is a rarity nowadays - so a real pleasure. Food was very good...portions a little large !

Booked for a Birthday meal and wasn't disappointed. The restaurant was quiet as it was midweek and football on but the staff were very attentive and it was still pleasant to be there. The menu choices were varied and the food we picked was delicious. We would definitely go again

I think that it’s very over priced. You charge for the location. I’ve had better roasts for less cost. The burger is very over priced for what you get.

Visited The Harrow for a girly lunch. We stayed 7 hours, that speaks volumes. I was told by my friends that I did a good job deciding where to go.

We had a fantastic experience here - the restaurant has been tastefully renovated and decorated, there is a good and varied selection of food on offer, which is presented beautifully and is delicious, the prices are super reasonable and the service was polite and friendly :-) I would highly recommend The Harrow!

Friendly staff and food was first class

My second meal here. The food was great and the service was attentive, despite it being very busy for fathers day. The staff were accommodating with requests to support my disabled son's needs. The roast dinners are really wonderful, and the Harrow beef burger is insanely good. We will be coming back again soon!

I cannot recommend the service at this restaurant enough. After telling them we had a vulnerable member in our party they went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and were able to enjoy our meal without any concerns with risk. Very attentive but not too much. Totally put us at ease. Food wonderful, nothing too much trouble, only reason I didn't give food the 5 star is the flavours were a little too grown up for our 12 year old but she didn't want the children's menu. Our older daughter however absolutely loved the pizza. So we shall return, and I'm sure both girls will have pizza but more important than the food, we came away feeling genuine care from the manager, whom we have never previously met, for our situation and he went above and beyond, and that kind of hospitality is priceless.

The food and service were excellent, the decor and pub is lovely. The only problem we had was that the huge car park was full, then again it was a Saturday evening and the restaurant seemed fully booked.

Simply put: the best restaurant experience I've had in a long, long time; there were even some delicious vegetarian options to choose from, which made for a pleasant change. Service was very well paced, and the he bill wasn't unreasonable either! Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Just a constructive criticism. My partner and I ordered fish and chips and roast dinner. In my opinion the very talented chef is trying too hard make it look good, rather than leave what I call a classic pub meal to exactly what it is. A good hearty meal!! In fact, we both mentioned that we felt we would of preferred our daughters pizza. That did exactly what it said on the tin. Just keep it simple. We have been coming to you for years now but feel that it’s becoming not to our taste. I can understand that you want to wow customers with some very out there dishes but I think if you want to cater for everyone, you should consider everyone.

The menu seemed very slimmed down, not a huge amount of choice. We were sat in the conservatory which was quite chilly, could have done with having the heaters on. Such a shame because we’ve been to The Harrow a number of times before but this visit sadly didn’t live up to expectations. The food we did have was very tasty though.

Been here a couple of times for Sunday roast First visit was fantastic, second visit nearly as good. The food is delicious and the staff are well presented and attentive. The decor and surrounding is very beautiful. A lovely place to go. On the higher end of cost for a Sunday roast but worth the treat occasionally.
