The Hand Inn in Denbighshire

Lovely food. I had The fish and chips- lovely crisp batter and triple cooked chips. Quite a large meal though. The burger came with a fresh salad and nice crispy onion rings. Everything was lovely and hot too. Dining room looks like it has recently been refurbished and was very comfortable and clean. Nice atmosphere. Well behaved dogs are welcome here too. 5 star on every thing.

Went for Sunday lunch with my family absolutely beautiful roast . From start to finish great experience greeted politely, service with a smile no long waits. Clean facilities. Loved the fact there was a vegetarian option. I had the chicken my husband and kids had the beef . All the trimmings came with it you could tell they were from fresh ingredients. Parsnips were beautiful. We all cleared out plates ,decent portions so much so that we had no room for dessert. Highly recommend giving it a try

We were made very welcome and looked after well I really enjoyed my Scampi and chips and OH very much enjoyed his fish and chips. The chips were lovely!

Used to visit this pub a long time ago but it went down hill the in past few years. I'm pleased to say it's finally under new management who seem to know what they're doing. Great atmosphere and food was excellent. I had the homemade lasagne and garlic bread and the wife had fish n chips, which was a huge portion! All very delicious and well presented, especially for the price. Great to have my local back on form again!

Amichevole e gentile, ci ha anche fornito buoni consigli per godere la zona. Un gentiluomo d'altri tempi. Uno spazio di tranquillità e di buona accoglienza nella campagna gallese.

Superb value for money. Food at restaurant standard and ‘proper’ chips - a rarity these days. No frills surroundings and a warm inviting and friendly atmosphere. We will be back.

Excellent food,very reasonably priced.Staff were polite +very helpful.Highly recommend. Have been in the week for tea,the lasagne is to die for,best I have tasted ,it is homemade and full of flavour.

Great pub food, really well priced.

Amazing service and tasty food arrived speedily at a great price! Pool table available for 50p and clean toilets. Many different drinks available with a lot of options on tap. Homemade chips were particularly exceptional. Just note, there are not many vegan options here.

Came here today was our first day in Denbigh and it looked like a nice pub , it was very quiet but we decided to have a drink and a game of pool. There was a juke box you could chose your own music so we were having a good time playing our songs and pool UNTIL the girl behind the bar obviously didn’t like the music we chose as she put some money in the jukebox and chose 5/6 songs at random obviously to limit are ability to choose our own songs. At which point we felt very unwelcome and also felt this was very rude for a member of staff to do this . The pub was empty so our music was obviously only affecting her . We finished our drinks and left after this . Don’t have a juke box if you don’t want customers to choose their own music !!!!!

Decor is tired and dated but friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We had food there as well and the food was lovely would definitely recommend.

A lovely clean pub which I've enjoyed drinking in over the years. The new landlady has great charisma and always has the business at heart. Nice to see a young local girl chasing her dreams.

I was unexpectedly staying overnight in Denbigh with my dog & looking for a nice place for us to relax. Staff at The Hand were super friendly & welcoming to me & my nervous rescue dog, offering him treats. First time he's ever felt relaxed & settled in a pub situation. Reasonably priced drinks & lovely staff & clientele. Thanks so much.

Me and my partner was driving past and thought it looked like a lovely pub so we decided to pop in , when we entered we felt very unwelcomed by staff and customers while we was in we noticed they did food so we order some which it was poor I had the fish and chips but the batter was soggy and covered in grease my partner had a burger it was abit better than mine but was still really greasy , not likely to return very dissapointed

We went to The Hand on the 25th for burger night, £12 for 2 is the offer at the moment. The burger was very tasty, not too overloaded with salad to kill the taste of the all meat burger. Combine this with a fresh bun, 2 home made onion rings, fries and a small side salad with the best salad dressing I have ever tasted made this a very tasty meal and very good value for money. An extra bonus was John Smiths was also on offer at £1.50 a pint, we will definitely be returning soon to try their pizza night and Fish and chip Friday. Thanks for a nice meal

We have been here a few times for a meal and drink or too in the evening. We are always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile, and the food and drink it fab and great value. Recommended.

We were staying in the local area and wanted to watch England vs USA. We used Facebook to contact them and book a table, dead easy. We ordered food and it was absolutely amazing. Prompted the next table to also order after seeing ours. Reasonably priced and brilliant staff!

We have been going to this pub for the last three years on our annual visit to North Wales. We met a man called Steven who was the owner. He always made us feel more than welcome and always had time for us. Brilliant host. We returned this year and was so disappointed. Steven has apparently left the pub and it now has new owners. The place was filthy and the place was full of young ones running it. The drinks smelt as bad as the toilets. And these young ones helping themselves to the drinks and crisps. We complained and left We will never return. Outside plants dead as the drinks. And the attitude of the staff shocked me.

this is a shame, what could be a lovely authentic public house let down by the present owners. the place is dirty and dusty. While the staff sit down watching tv in the bar area while the pub is closed instead of doing general cleaning work and dusting which would make a world of difference. If you happen to be the first customer your drink will be stale as they dont run the lines through before serving you. All in all a disappointing place.

Ordered a Sunday roast and it was given a 3 to 4 pm timeslot and arrived 20 mins early so really pleased with the efficiency and quality of the food really nice and friendly staff only down side is i ordered extra chicken and didnt get it but its no big deal i will be ordering again, thank you for lovely sunday roast all family members enjoyed the meal

We sat outside as it was a nice day, pub was really nice when I went inside, staff very friendly, helpful and attentive, beer was good but only draught, the Sunday lunch was excellent and they were delivering all the time we were there, I would highly recommend eating here.

Tables were grubby outside, not a particularly warm welcome. Didn't go inside, drinks prices are reasonable. Seems to be more of a club type of pub in the evening

First time I had a delivery to my new address a hick up on my behave after a phone call from Steve Steve delivery arrived foo6was excellent and hot well done all in the hand

Such a good atmosphere, great for if you want a quiet drink and great if you want the start of your epic night. Staff are amazing, drink prices are reasonable and the interior is quite nice considering.... a go to for me and my partner... never felt so comfortable in a pub in all my days, and being a gay man that is important to me. Defo be back here now that im a denbigh guy

2 giant screens in a lovely old pub that has just been renovated, ice cold beers, lovely service, great atmosphere, was so pleased to watch the footy here on Saturday. They have good value curry and pizza nights during the week but we were only here for the weekend.

We felt like we'd intruded in this establishment. Definitely clicky, which put us off a lot. We won't be returning SW :-)

PT :-) and I had just moved into the area and wandered around Denbigh to get a feel for the local scene... Having run a pub I found the Hand Inn quite 'clicky' and not very welcoming and actually made us feel like we were intruding; not great considering the current state of play when it comes to local pubs having to close. Not feeling at home at all we decided to keep our trade to others pubs in the area that seem more appreciative of our custom.
