The Hambone Food Hall and Brasserie in Conwy

I rarely use this app, but today I waited the best part of half an hour for chicken and rice. I was the only one stood waiting for hot food .I only ended up getting my food when I did because the woman woth glasses on the counter asked where it was , then it was thrown into a box .I would give a zero for presentation and wait time ,the chicken was dry, over cooked and very tasteless . I won't be returning .

We spotted this deli whilst on a visit to Llandudno as part of our north wales motorhome holiday adventure and oh my days we had the best lunch!! The fish finger sandwich was sensational and a side of garlic and rosemary fries to share complimented it beautifully. I couldn’t fault any of it and the staff were really friendly too. I liked the fact chef came out to ask how we wanted our sandwiches which was a lovely touch. Lastly, our little 2 year old cavapoo, Dolly got a wonderful surprise as chef treated her to some honey roast ham. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this delicious deli to anyone who is looking for a sensational (and filling) lunch in Llandudno.

A gem of a place in the centre of Llandudno. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The fish finger cob and chips are highly recommended. We will definitely return for more!

Visited today and purchased a filled roll. £5.85 for a rather pitifully filled roll was a big disappointment. The bread roll certainty wasn’t fresh. Will stick with the Craig Y Don branch where they provide better quality food and more substantially filled rolls.

Up in Llandudno recently and used this deli a number of times, both eating on site and taking food away. Fresh/quality food every time. Lovely and helpful staff, would highly recommend

No tables left, so we were about to leave. The owner had the table at the front window, he said he was working on his laptop, but we could have it. So we said thanks. It was not wiped over for us which would have been nice. There is no menu's, the food is on blackboards in various places. You start reading and then you loose where you were as someone blocks your view. Just all a bit chaotic. Very nice chips, but the wrap and baguette looked nicer than it tasted. Knife unclean.

Stunning food, great atmosphere. We had steak gyros. The best we have had, portions were big and quality was excellent. We can’t fault a thing. The owner is such a gentleman and the chef, both great.

Randomly walked past here and stopped in for lunch with my aunt. We had the warm steak salad and a ham and cheese panini. Beautiful, tasty food and excellent service. The manager and waiting staff all were lovely. I even bought some scotch eggs and welsh cakes to take away and they are delicious! Cant wait to come back again next time I'm in the area.

We came today (17/07/24) we sat down, and within minutes we were greeted by a lovely young lady who asked us if we knew what wer were going to have. Me and my partner asked if they had any burgers on the menu, the young lady said she would ask the head chef what they have on offer. The Chef then actually came to our table to explain what types they had on offer, he even went to the extent of showing us their new beef patties. I was very Impressed!! I went with one of them, while my partner opted for a chicken burger. While we waited the chef came over to our table with a sample of their new spicy scotch egg! It was absolutely fantastic!! We were also asked if we wanted to try their new and improved garlic and rosemary chips, and of course we said yes!! The food them came to our table, and it looked stunning!! The burger had plenty of salad,pickles,sauce, bacon and a nice melt in the mouth patty. The same with My partners chicken burger!! The garlic and rosemary chips were on ANOTHER LEVEL! we've been a few times before and always get these! But this new and improved version were extremely crispy and full of the garlic and rosemary flavour on the outside, and lovely and fluffy on the inside! I give this meal and this place 10/10 everytime!!

We ordered some filled rolls, these came beautifully made and presented . However , we waited 50 minutes for a bowl of chips . I went to the counter to ask how much longer they would be ,the lady called over to the chef to ask him , I looked at him to see what the answer would be and saw him mutter ' f**k off ' under his breath .The lady asked him again how much longer they would be and he replied ''f*** knows I've got another 2 checks to do ' the lady very awkwardly smiled at me knowing i'd heard him and apologised . Apart from the slow rude chef it was a lovely place to eat. Quite a quirky little place . Would like to visit again the next time we are in Llandudno ,

We had 2 of the best filled baps we have ever had . Turkey salad stuffing and cranberry and a ham salad with mayo . We took away a chorizo chili and coriander scotch egg after trying some on the counter. The lady who served us was lovely . It's not very often you go somewhere and the straff genuinally make you feel welcome .Very polite, helpful and professional from start to finish . 10/10 service 10/10 food 10/10 value for money .Can't wait to return in a few weeks to try the hot food .

We found this absolute gem whilst visiting the Great Orme. We had our Boxer dog with us and she was welcomed with open arms, and even had a couple of sausages! The food was fantastic , and the service exceptional. Lovely people , great food and absolutely no complaints here. Please keep.doing what you are doing and we want to say thanks for looking after us so well and our dog who means the world to us. Recommend 100% , so if you are in Llandudno , seek out Ham & Bone , you wont regret it ! 5* all the way

Was recommended this place by a work colleague, The place was easy enough to find and can park, Menu was big and plenty of selection, We ordered 2 house burhers , garlic chips & 2 drinks & one small pork pie was £40 , the meal was nice but felt overpriced for what it was, Had a Chinese chicken bap on the way out that was over a £5 , felt small for that price, Wouldn't return anytime soon unless they dropped there price , ......... £1 bakery is only around the corner staff were lovely though

Travel from cheshire to Llandudno for business and so happened to stumbled across this place and now i have to go everytime i make the trip, the staff were so welcoming and friendly but the steak sandwich with the holy f*ck sauce is out of this world and is 100% worth the trip just for that!!

We dropped by for lunch on Saturday 13th. Found it purely by chance as was close to where we parked. My wife had the roasted lamb sandwich and I had the fish finger sandwich. Absolutely delicious and the friendly and quick service was excellent. We even managed to buy some Welsh cakes to take away when we left. A real gem of a lunch stop!

We had the best breakfast at the ham bone this morning - the perfect way to finish a week In Llandudno. The chef, Che, and the whole team are so accommodating, friendly and efficient. We also got some of their AMAZING scotch eggs to go. So so good and lots of different flavours to chose from! Really good value for money too. Thank you for a wonderful end to our trip.

What an amazing place the food is fantastic. The staff a so polite and welcoming. They have a passion for what they do. The scotch eggs are the best. It’s our place to go to every time we visit Llandudno.

I have so much praise for this place . It was a really busy Friday lunch and despite the queue being out the door , the lady on the counter had all the time in the world for us to make sure we had everything just how we wanted it .My wife has a few allergies and we always feel awkward when we order anywhere , but the lady was very polite and talked us through what would be suitable for my wife . 10 out of 10 service from start to finish .The food was amazing . We had a couple of sandwiches, curry and mango scotch eggs and a salad box . Very reasonably priced too .

I had an impromptu lunch with family today and we had a lovely meal. There are so many varieties and taste sensations to choose from I'm sure we will go back soon. The staff were very welcoming, the surroundings comfortable and reflecting the quality of produce. Highly recommend this place

This is a wonderful deli offering an enormous list of delicacies and small meals to eat in or to take away. We enjoyed some excellent coffee with homemade scotch eggs (one with black pudding and an especially tasty one made with curry and mango). Staff were friendly and chatty and the vibe was good. I wish I lived nearer!

We came here for lunch while out and about in town, I was going to order the double smash burger but the chef informed me that the day's special offer was on their single patty burger. I was grateful for this, and it showed care for their customer, even though it meant I spent less money. The burger was absolutely phenomenal, genuinely one of the best I've had in the area, and even in general. The meat was good quality, and it had the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and salad to not feel too heavy. My girlfriend had a coronation chicken and salad baguette, which she was very pleased with also. We shared garlic and rosemary chips, which were cooked to absolute perfection; crispy outside and beautifully soft inside. The atmosphere was completely pleasant, and all the staff the same. We got there and ordered right before the main lunch rush which was fortunate. It got really busy for lunch, just on a random Tuesday, including what seemed to be a good many regular customers, all of which speaks to its strength. 10/10 will visit again.

Fantastic, just fantastic. We ordered the smash burger (get this if you love a good burger) cheese and chutney panini (girlfriend said it was delicious), paprika and garlic Mayo chips. All in all it cost us 25.00 and was stupidly reasonable. The customer service was an extra addition of wonder, the chef che was an engaging and boisterous gentleman and the other waitstaff were just as helpful and caring. Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had and the fact it cost me roughly a tenner makes this place something special. If you want to enjoy life this is a gem that can’t be missed. Also they are dog friendly!

I contacted several businesses in Llandudno regarding a sandwich delivery for my elderly Grandparents as we live 200 miles away. Many couldn't help but the owner of The Ham Bone was happy to help and take a dinner delivery to my Grandparents home during a difficult time.I never felt like a nuisance and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. The owner offered his help at any time and was more than happy to help my Grandparents with any problems they may have. You don't often come across such brilliant service and such a lovely person. I can't wait to meet you when I come to Llandudno and you should be so proud of yourself. Take care

Discovered this little gem only recently, even though I visit Llandudno often.So glad I went in and bought some pork pies as they were delicious and I travel from Denbigh and make sure I purchase their pies for family and friends who also say that the pies are superb

The ham bone on Lloyd Street is definitely worth visiting when in Llandudno, all of their venues are great, the quick stop in the Victoria centre and their shop in Craig y Don which is more of a take away.Martin (the owner) and his team are extremely efficient, the quality of their service and all products are great, whether you are there for a take away, eat in or just for a coffee, service with a smile is spot on.In these difficult days, when we are all staying "local" pop into any of the Ham Bone outlets and support one of our best providers.

Visited a few weeks ago on a whim (we were looking for somewhere to eat where we could sit outside with our dog) and we were really impressed. A couple of us had fish and chips, and the others had a sandwich (fish and sweet chilli), but everything was really delicious and fresh. We had some cream teas to finish and the scones were perfect too. The service was also great. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thanks for a great lunch.

I have had a takeaway from her before to which I have never been disappointed.Service is really please and friendly here. All the food that comes out looks really amazing.They adhere to COVID-19 rules and regulations which is great.As you can see by the pic the food looks great. I am just disappointed with the outcome.I asked for my steak medium rare. It came out medium well. The pies when they are fresh and cold are beautiful delicious and award winning. Its just a shame that when you get one in a main meal, they are microwaved. We paid £27 for these two meals and two drinks. For that price it should be better...Chips were fresh cooked and hand cut. Shame they were not a bit thicker...Anyway I do recommend this cafe, but I will be opting for the takeaway from now on.

Well worth a visit. Loads of choice on menu. All food cooked fresh to order and v tasty. We ordered a mocha and latte for after our meal but they came before, just a small error. Both drinks tasted great and lovely and hot.

Stopped for lunch, varied menu with lots of choice and plenty of vegetarian options. Licences bar so you can have a glass of wine or Prosecco with your meal. The coffees are great too. Definitely 5 star service from the staff and owner. Look forward to going back.

Very impressed. The food was delicious , two meals , sirloin steak with double egg, chips and salad and dirty burger with salad and chips all for £12 ( half price, I’d happily have paid full price). The staff we’re very welcoming and helpful. The food was cooked perfect. Dogs are welcome outside in the seating area too.

Extremely Accommodating Place for Fish n ChipsI visited the Hambone Deli with family & some friends. There was 9 of us in total including 3 kids, a baby & a dog. On a hot sunny day in Llandudno we were all desperate for some fish & chips. From the second we arrived we were greeted with a very friendly smile. As we were a big party without a booking, the owner (i think it was the owner) was straight to getting us a table and extra chairs so we could all fit. Some eateries pull their face and seem annoyed at a walk in table of 9 (i used to work in catering i understand) but the Hambone were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us! We all ordered fish and chips and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. Posh fish and chips in a lovely outside eating area. Thank you so much to the Hambone - we will definitely be visiting you again & recommending you to our other family members due to visit Wales soon. Oh & also - i nearly forgot to mention. The owner (again, i think it was the owner) gave us a couple of pork pies to taste! Can’t wait to try. Thanks again!

Cozy little place in Llandudno not far from the pier, sadly the place is just a rip off, prices on the board don’t matcha your bill. Ham bap with salad clearly said £3.45. The bill said different. Also it as the smallest bap I’ve ever seen. Avoid Avoid Avoid ! ! !

I originally come from Llandudno and was revisiting family. We stopped here late afternoon, just before they closed and had the best cappuccino. Having not been to Llandudno for some time, we asked the waiter which was now the best fish and chip shop and he was so helpful. He also pointed out that they did them too and recommended some other dishes should we return, which we would next time.

Although soup was very nice and a fair price, The Burgers and other food was very overpriced for a cafe and not as nice as the local 2 for £8 Burgers or Weatherspoons locally. Burgers are from £8.75-£14 . The basic lower priced is a crumbly roll , bit of mixed bagged soggy leaves with a burger. Small amount of thin frozen cheap chips including the black bits! The competition would at least add a piece of tomato, onion, cucumber or gherkin?. These extras are offered on the dearer burger. small portions double prices. My mother thought the same about her Cheese Welsh Rarebit. and the price of drinks. I am a local who used to buy my sandwiches daily from the Hambone deli next door, but these have now gone much too dear. Sorry Hambone i will not be ripped off anymore. Service a little slow and lacking smiles. Cafe clean and pleasant surroundings.

Really hope the owner reads and responds to this review. We are now in 2020 and showing total ignorance to customers dietry needs are a thing of the past.We went in sat down and was given a menu. when i asked what was suitable for mum that was coeliac i was told carrot cake if they had any left. I explained we wanted luch and was told nothing was suitable and again was told nothing. I asked about the home cooked ham with some chips but was told chips were not suitable as everything else had been cooked in the same fryer, i asked about jacket potato and was told no the owner wouldnt do them as bo one could cook them properly ! well i am sorry but if any of my chefs let alone kitchen assisstants could not have cooked a jacket potato correctly then they would not have had a job. You can even get precooked from your veg supplier with instructions how to reheat which is what 99% of catering establishments use these days.The menu sounds good but if you really want a successful buisness i sugest you reduce it and make sure you do cater for diety needs. Most place have gluten free bread in the freezer you can wip out so customers can have sandwiches, toasties, a breakfast etc, jacket potatoes with range of fillings that are suitable for coeliacs and vegetarians because even though you advertise vegetarian it isnt strictly true if you are cooking everything together is same fryer.

Shopping in Llandudno and wanting lunch, looked at a few places then decided to try the Ham Bone. At first spoilt for choice from varied menu, decided to have ham egg and chips, what a treat. Three thick pieces of home cooked ham, lovely, tender and very tasty. Others in the party had a tuna mayo baguette which they said was very good with loads of filling, service was quick, prices were ok for quality of food and service.

Lovely couple of hours spent catching up with friends. All the staff were very friendly, the place in very clean, and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. Lovely coffee. I had a falafel wrap with chips on the side, presented nicely and tasted great.

Called in here on the off chance of a snack it was very busy but tables were available we sat down and within a few minutes the waitress came to us I asked what soup of the day was tomato she informed me my son ordered a steak pie and chips we also ordered tea for two,the tea came quickly after about 1/4 of an hour the food came it was pipping hot and delicious plenty of room tables not too close ambience very good toilets very clean the staff were very good and attentive in all a very good stop over families welcome on street parking 90 minutes if a spot is available car park a few minutes walk away council owned.

Myself and my partner came into hambone a few months ago and they were very rude and unhelpful. We did not go for a while but came back again and the same rude staff who are very short and unapologetic after making a mistake with the order are still there. My friend who has a guide dog was refused into the hambone, which i think is disgusting. I will not be going here again. Maybe employ more enthusiatic, nice members of staff :) x

Well picture should give it away. Never ever seen porridge like what the serve here you could have repaired a roof with it. Was going to order a cooked breakfast untill I seen the price.

Visited recently and had a delicious meal. Service was good . Lovely young man serving. A little on the expensive side but definitely enjoyed what we had. Will definitely come again.

A great find after walking around Mostyn Street in despair looking for food not typical of simply sarnies, omelette, jacket potatoes and chips. I had their open lamb salad at under 11 quid and a pint of Shead Head. The lamb slices were tender and juicy, paired very well with watercress, salad onions Greek yoghurt and mint leaves. Really love it and will definitely go back.

The meal we had on Sunday was beef melt.It was awful. There was so much BBQ sauce that you couldn't taste anything else. It was so soggy with sauce that it ran out of the bap. Also the chips were dried up . We have visited the Hambone on many occasions Inthe past and it was good but we won't be going there again.

Expensive and the baps are tiny nowadays the ham bone used to be a regular treat for my partner and myself today was our last visit

Elderly mother myself and young mum with baby called in for Sunday lunch. The waitress was very unwelcoming and extremely unhelpful banishing us to the back of the Restaurant and telling us to move our pram out of the way. This woman of unknown foreign origin needed to be retrained in the social skills of running a restaurant. Really bad and the food wasnt great we wont be returning.

We were down on the north Wales coast line, last Saturday, after having a long walk on the sea front, we decided to have a late lunch early dinner. At the Ham Bone We arrived around 3.30 in the afternoon, it was still quite busy, sat down and looked at the menus my wife ordered the steak and ale pie, which looked quite generous and tasted good said wife, I chose the ham and eggs of the specials board, the ham was melt in the mouth, and tasted brilliant a first class meal, the only down side I could find, we are having a sober October, and ordered soft drinks, but £2.70 for a small Diet Coke, I found a bit excessive. We will return.

We called in here to check out the breakfast menu and found it had been refreshed and there was a great selection of well priced options. The service was fast and efficient, the food arrived freshly cooked and plentiful. Well worth checking out for a hearty meal.

Pretty average to be honest ! Connected to a deli we expected really flavoursome and fresh food but a lunch time stop in was a bit let down by soggy white bread on the reggae reggae chicken with little salad and a panini with feta and guacamole with very little guacamole and stingy crisps on the side. The food was tasty enough but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there !

The best eggs benedict for mikes around. Served promptly, hot with a runny egg. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

We have visited this eatery several times before and have never had reason to complain. However, this time we were ‘greeted’ by a very, very stern and unfriendly waitress. Thankfully, our order was taken by another member of staff.

Went in for an evening meal with the family. Food was lovely with really generous portions. Staff very helpful. We all left full and happy and will be back.

Love this place! Cold Great Orme beer washed down wonderful lunch options, loved the steak sandwich and the chips. Great service, even like the background jazz music! Should be an evening venue it you ask us!!

Two days running we have had fabulous rolls from the deli. Charming staff and the owner very personable too.Wish we lived nearby we would make it out local, prices reasonable.

Nice cuppa with orange cake, decent service and fast, drink was excellent cake portion could have been a bit larger otherwise tasted nice, worth a visit if in Llandudno they do a range of nice meals and snacks and drinks

Can't wait to go back, couple of us had ham eggs and chips, the other 4 had a mix of sandwiches or paninis, highly recommended.

Great service and fantastic breakfast. We will definitely be back. Central location 👍. Deli looked good too.

Champions league final day and a family visit to Llandudno

we had a late afternoon meal here and, once again, we came away impressed with both the service and the quality of the meal. I had the Slap Ya Mamma pizza whilst my fiance had the pork pie with the Spicy Plum Chutney.
