Great B&B pub service fantastic and breakfast was brilliant also absolutely spotless rooms and pub

I discovered this place while randomly hiking around Morley area. Glad I did because I love live music and it was also free. Will be returning for more.

There is lovely service and staff loads of tv round the pub mainly on sports but other things too there is a darts board and a pool table. Didn't stay in the hotel but probably a 5 stars aswell. I would 10000000% recommend going here

Good selection of beers, polite staff and enjoyed the free pool on a Sunday. Will be visiting again as only local. Worth a trip in for a few cold ones!

Excellent bands, great service and always a couple of good beers. Lately Theakstones Best Bitter, Farmers Blonde, Salt brewery 'Loom'. As it is local I have never stayed in the rooms but friends have and Band Members stay too and the breakfast is very good too.

Up from Nottingham for work, spent 2 nights at a nearby large chain hotel and had to spend 1 night here as they were full. I wish I had chosen to just spend all 3 nights here instead! Staff were very friendly and welcoming, prices in the bar was great and the breakfast was fantastic. If I'm ever up this way again I will be returning. Highly recommend.

This is the first time I have ever left such a negative review. I read the reviews before booking and accepted that if there was a live band on. that it would be noisy until about 11.30 pm. Unfortunately on the first night there was music through the speakers which seem to be directly beneath my room until about midnight. Even after that the noise from people in the bar was horrendous. Eventually, at 12.30 everyone left (noisily.) The next evening a live band was on (I can’t even describe the level of noise and reverb,) however this finished at 11.30, so that was ok as the clocks changed , so I’d get an extra hour in bed. HOWEVER, the people in the bar stayed chatting and laughing incredibly loudly until 2.30 am. (It would have been later but the clocks changed at 2. This is not acceptable for any establishment offering accommodation. The room was nice enough but it’s not relevant when you don’t get any sleep !! The lack of sleep unfortunately ruined the next day, which is why I was there. Someone needs to go into room 1 and sit in there while there’s a lock in and experience it for themselves. Some of the replies to other reviews seem to say they don’t understand the comments about late night noise as everything finishes at 11.30. Sadly, it’s not true, the noise did continue until 2.30 am.

I like this pub. Full of friendly local people and the staff, when it's not too busy, are happy to chat. Most importantly, as a vunerable person, I feel very safe in this pub.

Visited the Halfway House on Saturday 5th August what a great pub a very welcoming atmosphere and a lovely pub the hosts Jo and Neil couldn't do enough for yer.A great selection of beers and a very friendly atmosphere. I stayed overnight a great ensuite bedroom was what i stayed in and everything was new. Including a good double bed. In the morning i had a full English breakfast again this was very good. Id definitely recommend this pub to drink and also to stay over. Jo and Neill are great 10 out of 10

Went there for the fund raiser, different bands on, very busy for the staff, queuing out of the door to get served, couldn't understand why they didn't have a bottle bar outside then it would have freed up the bar but on the whole it was a good day

Went to this pub to watch mini festival and wasn't disappointed , brilliant bands on show event well organised and run, had to leave for about 7pm so didn't get to see evening band , first visit but would go again for live music .

The Halfway house is a clean and friendly pub which also has live bands on which is definitely a plus. The rooms are bright and airy and are always immaculate and the cooked breakfast in the morning is fabulous to kick start your day. Its definitely my top place to stay in Morley would highly recommend .

Great pub, let a rugby coach trip in with no issues, staff were very helpful and will visit again.

Everyone was welcoming and helpful also breakfast was amazing the following day. Facilities in the room was clean and the room was spacious worth staying again.

Welcome was nice, staff warm and attentive. Everything you need in the room. Knocked down to 4 stars due to having to hold toilet seat up while utilising it and needed to rinse the kettle before use due to water already being present. Otherwise good value for money tbh. Thank you for the service, it was great.

We stayed at the hotel when we were up visiting my uncle. The service was excellent the rooms were immaculate. The staff were very friendly and chatty. I would definitely stay there again

Stayed here last night, couldn't recommend this place enough! We was originally staying at the old vicarage hotel up the road but after seeing the state of the place and rude arrogant staff we decided to look elsewhere and found this little gem! The rooms are absolutely stunning, very modern and cosy! Newly decorated to a high standard with mod cons (touch lamps, large smart tv,hairdryer, USB ports beautiful fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Now the shower... WOW! Amazing noodle head or standard power shower to choose from, even the soap provided smelled great! Not your usual cheap stuff! Honestly cant fault this place! Staff are very friendly, rooms are spotless! We did have a full English breakfast included but unfortunately had to miss as we had a poorly child and left early (sorry guys, we was looking forward to it too) 10/10 hope to see you soon for a drink 👍 regards Scott & Caroline

Wow what a transformation!! called in here for the first time since the refurbishment 😍 what a cracking job they have done 👏 Joanne and Neil have worked so hard since taking this place on and totally transformed this pub👌 it was a tired old man's drinking boozer and now its a modern day proper good local pub, theyve kept the traditional pub feel but is far more inviting for girlie's nights out and family day time pop ins. The Beer selection is class with a great range of spirits too ❤❤ the Bed and breakfast is 2nd to none definitely stay a night guys 👍

A nice, warm friendly place to meet friends if you like quizzes to get your general knowledge going. Even better! Also they have karaoke if you enjoy singing. Not sure about food. I haven't eaten here yet. 😀

Cracking cask ales and brilliant pub for sport

Staff were ok, apart from coughing into there hands and not washing them after, one of the staff picking his know the other constantly touching his face to which neither washed their hand. As for the chef he needs to learn the difference between a normal meal and an xl meal.
