First visit here and very impressed. Extremely good value for money considering the quality of the food. A similar meal at a cafe last week cost over 50% more but was nowhere near as tasty as your food.

Came across The Gubeon Coffee Shop on our way back to Morpeth after a walk up Shafto Craggs and so pleased we did as this is a hidden gem to visit for coffee and cake. You enter through electronic gates into a horse livery yard and dressage ring. The coffee shop is upstairs in what looks like a converted barn. Menu is good with sandwiches, pannini’s soup and cakes all look home made. You look over the dressage ring and tables and chairs outside for sitting in the son. Carrot cake amazing and really nice coffee we will defo be returning and making this one of our regular stops.

Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch today at this coffee shop My favourite bacon Brie and cranberry panini - lightly toasted and really lovely Followed by the lightest lemon and white chocolate cake. Good range of sandwiches, hot and cold plus baked potatoes and cakes. Super host too Good size car park and downstairs eating area/ disabled toilet if needed although food order point is upstairs. Overall very nice and on an equestrian centre so potentially horses to watch if your interested I will definitely be back

The Gubeon Coffee Shop is found within the Morpeth Equestrian Centre on the road to Tranwell Woods. Fabulous views north to the Cheviots through floor to ceiling windows overlooking the exercise paddock. A window also looks out into the indoor exercise area. Great range of light meals freshly prepared and delicious homemade cakes. Well worth a visit to this clean, comfortable and interesting coffee shop.

We called in one afternoon having seen the sign the previous week. The coffee and cakes are lovely & recommended. We asked if they would consider the challenge of putting on a buffet for a Children's birthday party... Andrew agreed without hesitation !! 15 kids arrived and were met with an absolutely fantastic buffet... the caterpillar sandwich display was brilliant, balloons and declarations as well. Parents had coffees / cake and all ended up digging in to the buffet which was generous ... fantastic afternoon, fantastic food and fantastic hospitality.... well recommended. Huge thank you for all involved and hope you've recovered from the noise !!

My wife and I have passed this place on numerous occasions without actually going in, today we ventured past the gates (Electronic). The cafe is small & upstairs, we did not see if there was a lift for those less active but there is outside seating. The range of food is mainly snacks and cakes. Although the Equestrian Centre is not accessible to the public there are opportunities to see the horses being exercised from the coffee shop.Unknown whether it's dog friendly but I would suggest not, due to the nature of the business. We just had a coffee and cake which was delicious and quite inexpensive. Well worth a visit.

I regularly visit this place and while I love the fact that it hasn't yet been discovered, feel it really should be much more visited as it's a pretty amazing find. The coffee shop itself is on the top floor of the equestrian centre and with it's wooden fixtures and massive window is nice and light, with great views. The service is always friendly and speedy with good coffee on offer and a quality selection of sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and hot meals.

We just stumbled on this place, but really glad we did.We had lovely toasties/panninis and great coffee. The views out of the huge windows are incredible and if you're lucky, you might get to see the horses in the indoor or outdoor arenas. There is a very definite horsey smell downstairs in the cafe building (only to be expected in a working yard) but don't be put off - the cafe is upstairs and there is no horsey smell at all.Well worth a visit.

I was lucky enough to win a gift voucher for afternoon tea for two which the proprietors of this coffee shop had kindly donated to a Breast Cancer Charity Evening. I was expecting a bog standard afternoon tea but was pleasantly surprised! My mum commented on the good choice of sandwich fillings from which we could select two (we chose coronation chicken and tuna and cucumber) and the freshness of the scones which had been warmed too. They were served with butter, jam and Roddas clotted cream - so yummy! Aside from the beautifully presented food the main reason we would come back is for the view. One side of the coffee shop overlooks an indoor horse arena and the other side an outdoor arena which was set up with jumps. Watching the horses and riders practicing the jumps was really entertaining and I would definitely choose to come back here again for the unique insight into the equestrian world that having coffee here offers! Having already prebooked the afternoon tea we glanced at the menus and found there to be a good choice of reasonably priced food and we found the service to be quality too. The lady serving us brought over hot water to top up our teas without us having to ask. The only thing I can't understand was how quiet the shop was but I realise that it may be the tranquil location which makes this place a bit of a destination to seek out, but do so and you will be rewarded!

On the road from Morpeth to Ponteland I came across a hidden gem, a bit of a pain to have to open the gate ( kept closed for the horses safety) but once inside the cafe has a big picture window that looks out over some amazing views of the Cheviot Hills. If you are lucky you will also be able to watch horses being exercised in the indoor or outdoor arena. With a good choice of homemade cakes and scones, accompanied by an excellent cappuccino, it's a venue I will definitely return to!

Simple menu but perfect for an afternoon lunch or coffee. The floor to ceiling window looking out onto the countryside and an outdoor horse arena is worth the trip.

The cafe is in a lovely setting with a great viewing window overlooking the outdoor schooling arena. I have visited the cafe a few times now and have been very satisfied with drinks and food. One thing however was that after being told the soup was home made and then to witness it being dispensed from a tin I was somewhat disappointed. The soup was nice regardless but if you clain 'homemade' then thats what it should be.

The postal address had a Morpeth post town, even though it is close to Amble. Finding it with the aid of a satnav was essential. A lovely sunny day and the field out front was very busy. All sorts were there, a food concession was selling pizza. The beer was varied, but great. Just a pity i was driving, no carry out bright beer is available. Only in cans. Such a shame, would have loved to taken away some of their heavier beer approx 6% ABV Staff were friendly and the interior accommodation was good.

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!
