Had bottomless brunch with friends . Vicky was the host and was so friendly and made our experience just spot on in every way !

Had a very nice brunch here last week with my friend. We both chose the grilled halloumi with poached eggs on avocado served on toasted sourdough. It was delicious and very filling. The initial service was very good and the waitress friendly. The only thing stopping it getting 5 stars is that we ordered a second coffee after we’d eaten and after waiting almost 20 minutes had to tell them to forget it and leave. It looked like they only had one person on the drinks and obviously the busier the more she got slammed. It’s not put us off and we’ll certainly be back. There’s just too much nice sounding stuff on the menu to try!

News years day in the Grind, returned after a slightly negative experience back in August and we all (group of 9) had a fantastic day! I just want to say well bloody done to the girls behind the bar!! The place was absolutely heaving you couldn’t move and they did so well getting everyone served! Everyone was in such good spirits and the vibe was brilliant! Happy New Year 🥳

I recently travelled from North Tyneside to visit my friend and we had a stunning brunch af The Grind. The staff where friendly and our food was gorgeous. I had the festive croque monsieur with breakfast potatoes and it was delicious. My friend had Turkish eggs which looked fab too. Gutted I don't live local a the good was fantastic!!

Great food and great service, we had the Steak chimichurri and the nutella pancakes. Highly recommend if in the area. Id advise booking as plenty of walk-ins were being turned away due to no space!

First visit here & certainly won’t be our last! Came as a group of 11 for bottomless brunch, great friendly attentive service. Food was delicious & amazing cocktails. Highly recommended & can’t wait to return, thank you!

First time visit with a friend to this restaurant and it won't be the last. We had the 'butchers breakfast' which was excellent as was the staff. Instant welcome on entering the venue and the subsequent service outstanding, we were made to feel like VIP's such was their attention to detail and service. Our dining experience was a pleasure because of the three members of staff that clearly take great pride in their profession and they are: Ben, Hollie and Amber - Thank you for showing you all care about your guests.

Highly recommend this place. The food was absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere. The staff are great. We were served by after by Haley. She was amazing . The Bottomless brunch there is the best I’ve been to. Great value! You will not be disappointed.

Fab service and food, we didn’t even have to ask for refills, Haley was there every time. Lovely atmosphere but just so impressed with the service and food. Highly recommend the brunch for £30 per head. We will definitely come back, thank you Hayley 😀

We’ve been coming to the Grind for a couple of years now and they have extended to an additional site. We went in for breakfast on a Thursday morning and the place was busy, so even though we didn’t book, I’d advise you to. We had the Pancake Burger, Steak Chimichurri and our little girl had the Greek Yoghurt pancakes. I was starving when I walked in and I swear I didn’t look up (or inhale) from the moment my food was on the table. Food was just delicious. Well done to the Grind. Despite moving to a bigger site you haven’t lost your superb food and service.

If you haven't booked a table, don't bother. If you get the urge to walk in, your an inconvenience. We were told it's bar service, even though everyone else it was table service. My friends stood for some time at the bar, not a problem, we know it takes time to make cocktail. I do recommend though if you going to talk about someone do it so we can't actually hear you. I've always found the drinks and food top notch. Pity about the attitude of some of the staff. I'm sure if we had been welcomed we would have boosted your take ins for the day.

Having seen and heard good reviews, we decided to go to The Grind for cocktails, with the intention of staying for some time. On walking in it was noted that we couldn't have table service and would have to be bar service, no smiles just sour faces. A few wanted to leave there and then but we thought see how it goes. We should have gone. The young girl who served me was lovely but the only one. They made comments to each other about how bar service was last and to concentrate on others first. I don't mind waiting but the attitude was terrible. The only smile we got was when we were leaving. I tried to leave a tip for the one girl but was told it went to share. Begrudgingly left it but wasn't happy as it shouldn't go to those who don't deserve it. A possible £500 lost from us due to attitude, won't be back

Bottomless brunch with the gals was absolutely wild. Got there for 2 thinking I'd have a nice civilised couple of hours with the girls and ended up being carted off home at 9pm when the chef finished work! Food was amazing, cocktails were even better and we were very well catered for during our two hour brunch slot. Very well done considering the place was rammed too! Such a great vibe and had the best time!

Food though on the face of it, pretty much average burger and fries with a bit of a twist was top notch. Staff so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Holli who served us with a smile despite seeing her earlier on ( must work long hours). Just gem of a place and much needed change from the usual high street chain pubs.

Amazing evening at Spennymoor’s premier attraction. The drinks, entertainment and over all ambience were absolutely top drawer. A wonderful gem in the heart of the town. The staff… Hollie, Jess and Lydia, (remembered their names I hope) grafting tirelessly all night to make sure we all had a fab time. Working in such a fast paced environment but still managing to bring that ‘service with a smile’ and a true injection of good vibes that everyone needs on a Friday night is a tall order in anyone’s book, but these girls delivered.

We've been here a few times now and really enjoy it. (The singer on Friday 14th June was very good). The choice of drinks is different to the rest of the nearby places and are really nice. Staff are always helpful and pleasant. When you have food the service is always very good. The best thing on the menu by far is the belly pork. For me personally I am not a burger fan so that rules most of the menu out for me. I have had one and it was nice but as mentioned they're not really my thing. The place is always clean and its decor is very good. I would have given it a 5 but for the primary choice being burgers on the menu knocked it to a 4. If 4.5 was a score that would have been my choice. Well done to the owners as you have brought something a little different to the town and you do it well.

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. Cannot fault our experience at all. Will definitely be back to try more!

This place is absolutely brilliant, I visited on Good Friday with my husband for tea. We had burgers and bar snacks. The burgers are the best burgers we have ever had anywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure we were enjoying everything. The selection of drinks are brilliant, the Draft ales are something different to what you can get anywhere else in town and the cocktails were superb. The place itself is very quirky and cool, the decor is great. They also had a live singer on a little little later in the evening which was a nice surprise. She was very good! I can't recommend this place enough.

Had a great time at The Grind Bar & Kitchen, congratulations on the launch! Great atmosphere and the live entertainment added a nice touch. Well thought out menu with something for everyone. Attention to detail was evident throughout, especially in the decor. The Nutella pancakes were a standout coming with a mini Nutella jar. Overall, highly recommended. Can't wait to come back!

Been to Baby Brunch for food a few times but today went to the new premises for bottomless brunch Wow Wow Wow the food amazing the dinks !!! So many xxx service so friendly, could not fault it xxx

I visited the grind with friends just over a week ago to check out the new venue as I've visited the original for breakfast many times(amazing brekkie 👌) Loved the decor, very quirky and a great atmosphere with background music not too loud so we could still have a good chat. The food was great, gorgeous burgers and loved the bar snacks we tried also. Service was great with really friendly staff and I always find the prices to be really reasonable for what you get, can't wait to come back and try more!

Went for the first time for evening meal and was really pleased with the selection of vegetarian options. Halloumi burger and sides were fantastic! Lovely atmosphere and cocktails were tasty too!

I met friends for a catch up last Saturday and this was my first visit to The Grind. The food and service was excellent as was the overall atmosphere with a singer in the back ground too. Great decor and loved the disco ball in the ladies! Will defo return and have already booked a table with other friends. The Grind is exactly the sort of place Spennymoor needs!

Went into the new Grind this morning for a take out coffee. Waited 12 mins for it to arrive. Three staff on and only one person making coffee...the place wasn't busy. Don't understand why it took so long...

The staff are always really nice, but the experience wasn’t great. Since the new venue opened we were expecting good things, but there was no availability for food walk-ins in spite of a large new cafe and plenty of available tables. They were turning several people away. That’s fair enough but even the wait for a cup of coffee was going on 15 mins. That cost £3 a cup and tasted really bland. Disappointing overall, you’d get better service and value at Starbucks, which is quite a low bar.

Wow what a venue, they have done a brilliant job on the decor. I had brunch which was amazing, definitely attention to detail and tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and I will be coming back to try the cocktails.

I recently visited The Grind with some friends. Having been to the previous venue multiple times, I was eager to attend the new Bar & Kitchen, and I was not disappointed. The food, the drinks, the staff, the service, everything made our experience really enjoyable. We visited during the day, so all enjoyed a dish from the brunch menu. I got the Maple & Bacon French Toast, and it was delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the french toast was so fluffy! The staff were really friendly, polite and attentive. I would recommend this place over and over, every visit has been memorable and I already can't wait to go again.

Food was amazing and I love love love the decor! The menu's got something for everyone, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Already making plans to come back. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try!

After a lot of recommendations from friend's we visited on Saturday 16th and this has sadly been the worst bottomless brunch we've been to. We received a prosecco when we arrived. After 20 minutes our food order was taken, we were told someone would come to take our drinks order. 25 minutes later we had to chase at the bar for our second drink. Hour and a half in, we managed 2 drinks. We complained and we're told we would get extra time. After two and half an hours we managed 4 drinks. Finished our 4th and decided to leave, had a 10 minute wait before someone became available to let us pay. Once we complained the staff’s attitude changed, they were blunt and uninterested. The issue was the lack of staff serving tables. Seemed odd for a bottomless place where staff weren't regulatory checking on you or letting you know much time you had left. However, the food was amazing compared to other bottomless brunches. Overall not great value for money.

Great place for cocktails and atmosphere, visited on Sunday where they has live entertainment on. Definitely worth a visit if your in Spennymoor or visiting close by.

Amazing! First off, the staff are so friendly. They never hesitate to answer any questions and make you feel so welcome, no matter the day/time. The decor and the atmosphere are great. I keep finding new details to admire. Love the surprise in the ladies’ loo as well! 🤫✨ The new menu is to die for! Gorgeous. I hate to admit I’ve had two burgers in the space of a week but can’t resist. This isn’t bog standard stuff - this is a menu that’s been properly thought through and they’ve thought outside the box! Unique things I haven’t seen before - super tasty. Try it all. The cocktail menu is equally fab - loads of choice and beautifully presented.

The new venue is beautiful with the same cool feel and great staff but lots more lush food and some amazing new cocktails too.
