The Griffin Hotel Ltd in Gwynedd

Stopped in for food as we were passing through the area. Service was great ,no wating around for staff,staff were friendly and polite . If in the area, I would definitely go back . Lovely clean place ,toilets best I've seen .

We stopped here a few weeks ago, from start to finish it was great, friendly staff, good prices and great food, highly recommended.

My partner and I came to North Wales for a weekend get away and stayed in Y Griffin. The hotel is amazing, the room was beautiful, comfy bed and it was very well put together and clean. The staff are very helpful and polite. We will be recommending the hotel to everyone. We will definitely be coming come back here. Diolch am arhosiad hyfryd

I really can't say how fantastic this hotel is. The staff are very welcoming,attentive, and friendly. the food, dinner, and breakfast were great cooked and presented very well. The accommodation is very comfortable , lovely shower in the en suite, good size tv and a really comfortable mattress. The hallway and room have really attractive surroundings. The decor is very nicely presented throughout the hotel. Various rooms lounge, bar,games area. Banquet room. A man shed for entertainment outside We will definitely stay at The Griffin Hotel again and certainly recommend it to anyone staying in that area.

Two meals and two soft drinks. 30 quid . Really lovely food. Clean and welcoming. Lovely staff

Had a lovely breakfast here on a visit to Wales and could even bring the dog in with us. Very welcoming.

Food was very good but maybe consider adding a second egg to the gammon and egg, it's not going to break the bank. The either or option of egg or pineapple seemed a bit picky. The fella behind the bar might want to brush up on his people skills, no "hello" no smile's, just a blank stare so didn't exactly roll out the welcome carpet!

Had a leaving meal here for a colleague. My first time at The Griffin but I'll certainly be back. Great choice of food and beers 🍻

Foods very good and a great pint of Guinness

First time visit as staying in cottage on holiday for the week up the hill lovely place doesnt look much from the outside but very surprised once inside spotlessly clean food absolutley lovely generouse portion sizes freindly staff will defo be visiting again

There's a sign outside 'All day breakfast, open 7 days a week' I was passing and had time , it was about 11:30 am on Saturday... I entered the front door to be greeted by what appeared to be staff and I immediately asked "all day breakfast?" The reply was an odd ' it's after 11:30' I made a quizzical face 🤨 Then another odd reply from the younger of the 2 women 'that sign is wrong, we haven't had time to change it' So it's an ALL DAY BREAKFAST that finishes at 11:30 am... Take into consideration - I believe this is a pub with an attached cafe - I'm assuming the cafe was absolutely rammed with customers not that I heard or saw anyone, certainly there were no patrons at the bar or in the lounge. 20 minutes later and between them these two females were still unable to get outside to change the sign though still stood gossiping where I'd left them earlier... What dedicated staff...

Had Sunday Lunch here last week - end , the place was spotlessly clean with pleasant staff and the food was absolutely lovely. I wish the new owners all the best and may they go from strength to strength.

(Did not use hotel - went for food & drinks only). Fantastic service from both staff members, very good steak and chips (not sure what shape they were but never seen them before! Really delicious!). Great atmosphere (although quiet) and really tastefully decorated restaurant - strong autumnal vibes. Lemon cheesecake was excellent! Highly recommend!

Excellent place for staying and eating. I searched for an affordable hotel around the Portmeirion and Y Griffin was the best for a wedding anniversary staycation 🥰 Recently refurbished, clean rooms with very comfortable mattress and cushions. Optimal room temperature. Experienced staff helped with choosing the meals and drinks 🍹 And on the top of all, they have a play room for adults with pool table and jukebox 🤩

Lovely bar, lovely rooms and very friendly staff- Leon is a cracking member of the team!

Called in for a pint. The young bar man Leon served us. We had a good conversation about the area and him living up the street. It was nice to see local people supporting local businesses. He did teach how to say the town name. Needless to say, we had a laugh. The bar areas are well maintained and clean. A very pleasant place.

Pour dîner seulement, cuisine très fraîche et goutue, les 2 enfants ont apprécié leurs plats et le rumsteck et le saumon étaient délicieux. Je recommande fortement.
