OK....first of all you need to know that I made this review several years ago and just now realized that I had posted it to the WRONG Greyhound....my bad. Here is my review as posted.........Spent a night across the street at The Mariner Hotel after missing the ferry to Ireland down at Pembroke. Not sure where to eat so we stumbled across the street to The Greyhound Hotel for a bit of bar food. Started out in the pub that had a half dozen or so locals there drinking ale and watching football. I bought a round for the boys and the party was on. Very friendly and fun bunch of blokes that the wife and I very much enjoyed meeting and spending time with. After a couple of beers we went upstairs for a bite to eat, and the experience could not have been better! We both had the fish and chips, and I can say without a doubt that it was one of the best meals I have ever had, and the price (about 8 pounds) was to die for (see photos), The fish was fresh, the batter was wonderful, the mushy peas were fresh and flavorful and the chips? Well they were hot and fresh and more than we could eat. The couple running it (he cooking and she serving) were a hoot, The place is very small and probably seats no more than 20 but several tables were filled with locals, and they were all very friendly and open. One of the highlights of our trip. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g658255-d3810256-r163165846-The_Greyhound-Carshalton_Surrey_England.html#

We needed a pub to watch the match and a bite to eat. We stumbled upon the greyhound inn. So glad we did. Bar maid was very welcoming and very polite. Food was simple but well received. Drinks flowed and we had a lovely time.

Being local to Haverfordwest I've visited this pub multiple times throughout the years and never caused an issue. My last visit was with my pool team. Bought a drink and thought I'd put my change in the fruit machine. I had £20 in the credit so I went to take it. Machine couldn't pay it out which is fine. Staff were helpful and said they'd get the technician out and get back to me in a few days. Once I had a reply I was told the machine didn't owe me money. So now It looks like I've lied. Would I lie or steal absolutly not. Didn't bother chasing it up as the moneys irrelevant it's all about principal. Will never return.

Pool table that poorly positioned you have to use a child's cue to play many shots. Thought I'd throw a few quid in the fruit machine, went to take £20 out then an error occured. Fair enough, engineer had to come out till I could get my money which is understandable. Engineer came and apparently the machine owes me nothing, Being a local to the area the moneys irrelevant all about the principle. Not somewhere I'd end up out of choice that's for sure!

We really enjoyed the Mothers day menu, there was a good choice on the menu, we had to wait a while between courses as it was busy there, but worth the wait, highly recommend

There is a new chef in this restaurant and the food is excellent! The place was very busy for Mother's Day and there was a delay for each course, but when the food arrived, it was of a very high standard and worth the wait. Probably more support is needed in the kitchen to get the food out quicker, but the quality could not be faulted. A real treat! Looking forward to eating there again.

We were sent here from the sister pub, The Glen which was full to capacity. There is no parking at the pub so we had to pay in the adjacent pay and display. The Greyhound were only serving Sunday lunch and only a choice of beef or chicken. We had to wait ages for our meal despite the restaurant being virtually empty, the waitress did apologise for our wait. When the food came it was disappointing to say the least, no Yorkshire pudding with the chicken so we had to share the small one that came with the beef. The vegetables they brought were laughable, there were 8 carrot batons between us, not many more peas and some cabbage. Once on the plate it looked like a child’s portion. We had intended staying for dessert but couldn’t wait to get out to be honest. Suffice to say we will not be returning. I will say though, the staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Visited several times. The restaurant is very cosy with a great menu with plenty of selection. Mark is a great chef preparing everything fresh. The host Jenny is a little exentric however this makes for a great experience. There is a great Christmas menu and a fantastic place for a dinner party for 20 plus people. Staff are smart and friendly.Jenny will also provide some musical entertainment if required! This place should be advertised more as it is great value for money. They also serve Sunday lunch.

Old school menu cooked well enough. My salad garnish had a piece of Orange the size of a frisby in it which was wierd. The lady who runs the restaurant is a bit rude and her eyes burn holes in you whilst you eat.

My husband and I popped in for lunch on our daughter's recommendation. My husband had gammon and chips which were delicious and I had the mushroom and nut pasta which was very tasty. We finished with ice cream sundaes which were out of this world. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Wow!! What a little gem. I went here with my husband and two children and had a fantastic Sunday roast. We ordered three Sunday roasts and the fillet of cod and chips for my youngest son. What can I say... delicious!! All homemade (yorkshire pudding was to die for) plenty of fresh vegetables and gravy. Service was spot on as soon as we sat down we were looked after by freindly staff who were very attentive. The food was fantastic - well done! As we are locals, we will definitely be back xx

I used to go here on occasion while stationed at Brawdy. It was a great place to go after a session of surfing. I was saddened to hear that it recently suffered a fire.

I called in with my parents on a Wednesday night. Do no pass this pub up, the food is all homemade and so delicious (the chips are amazing) and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We visited while on holiday and hope that next time we're in the area, the pub is open so we can visit again. Thank you so much for a lovely evening out
