The Greyhound Hotel Leigh in Wigan

This hotel is very badly run down, even the pub is closed.

Rooms are as basic as it gets but can't really complain due to the price.

Let down by very poor ownership - the building itself has potential - I hope somebody can save both the hotel and the pub, by fixing all of the damage etc. The lack of ANY plug sockets next to the head of the bed is also very unsatisfactory - I had to push the entire bed to the other wall in order to account for this. The worst thing is the prison-style security - having cameras in every corridor is AWFUL, and makes it very unpleasant to want to walk around and explore. I was even asked for my room number when returning late in the evening - I do NOT expect this sort of tyrannical treatment when staying in a hotel - once checked-in, I expect to be left 100% alone by hotel staff. Recommendation: remove all cameras from beyond the reception area, and hire less intrusive members of staff.

Very unkept and disgusting hotel. It needs to be revamped or be closed.

Needs updating pub wasn't open. Lighting terrible.

Poor quality rooms and service. Location is pretty good for access to the A580 for both Manchester and Liverpool.

Highly recommend if you want to to travel onward to other cities

Seems to be a haven for asylum seekers and the Pub part has shut down. Very grotty looking outside but the room we had was like new (I think it had just been renewed.)

Not possible to give a zero rating. This is a half way house, not a hotel. Staff rude, building is very, very tired. Threadbare carpets, noisy, smelly, lift doesn't work, adjoiningpub derelict. I could go on. I sat in my car most evenings until I felt tired, as the rooms were so depressing.

It was good experience. The environment was clean and good. Some young lads doing a great job.

Was a bit disappointed the lift was out of action and work was being done in the Greyhound pub perfect location for both liverpool and Manchester staff excellent and very helpful

Bit of a unfinished feeling to hotel. Nice staff. Not servicing food when we were at hotel so ordered food instead. In one room TV controller didn't work and no keelt in room. Hallway smelled of damp.

Drove away as there was lots of hmmm how to say unsavoury types outside n an earthy aroma
