The Greenhouse - Pan Asian Food in South Derbyshire

If you want quality Chinese and Asian food then this great little place offers the option to take it home or eat-in in a small, superbly furnished relaxing environment. To top it all, it is incredibly well priced. We use it every couple of weeks when we're staying in the area.

Great little cafe style restaurant with all your usual Chinese meals but in simple bowls enough for a lunchtime meal. Sat inside which was comfortable and not your normal setting for a Chinese. Liked the chilled out comfy settee areas which made it more relaxed and informal. Wish there was something like this near us. Not expensive either £6.50 for a decent bowl of food with either rice or noodles or chips. Food was tasty and made to order had a decent cup of tea with the meal in a large cup. Would highly recommend and would go again. Note. It’s cash only or bank transfer.

We dropped in on our way back from shopping, and were starving! We had food to take away, it was still piping hot when we got home, and totally delicious. We had swet and sour chicken balls, salt and spicy spare ribs, and chicken udon noodles. It was all really tasty. We didn't realise they don't have a card machine, so take cash with you, but there isa card machine by the garage if you need it. I was going to do a bank transfer, but the phone signal is really weak, cash is definitely best! Really friendly service, and if you want to eat in, there are a few tables in a nice setting. We'll be back.

The Greenhouse offers delicious pan-Asian food in a really chilled out way! And their bubble tea is something our children love too. I tend to go for their lunch box deals which are great value for money. I have fried rice with a sauce like black bean or curry and either roast pork, tofu or katsu chicken. The lunch deal is only £6.50 and really is great value! The ambience is very chilled out and the restaurant has been tastefully decorated. We tend to try and sit in the comfy arm chairs! Highly recommended.

Me and my daughter had a takeaway from here on Thursday teatime . I have to say it was the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. Food was served piping hot , staff were efficient , helpful and friendly . Added bonus off comfortable chairs with nice surroundings to sit in while you wait . Also you can eat in if you want , they only take cash as they don’t have a card machine at present but there’s a cash machine at the garage opposite if you forget . Will definitely be back

Ordered Sweet and Sour Crispy Chicken Balls, Black Bean Chicken, Black Bean Pork, Roast Duck Chow Mein, and Sichuan Chicken with 3 Egg Fried Rice. No complaints with any of the meals, tasty meals as well, served piping hot, very friendly service - will be sure to come here as our regular local Chinese takeaway.
