The Greek Pitta in Watford

This place is simply embarrassing paid £17 for a mixed Medina to break my fast in ramadan and the meat comes stone cold!!!!! Highly recommend not eating from here only thing I could eat were the chips and dips box was soaking wet aswell

First time trying this place walked in friendly service am pregnant and was craving Greek food this place did not disappoint amazing food so tasty and delicious will be back again the yellow dip that comes with the food absolutely amazing

Ordered for the first time couple of weeks ago online and it was nice. This time it was nothing like before. Different sauce, undercooked fries and no flavor. No consistency. Dissatisfied.

They disappeared for 3 months no word to customers then come back out of the blue. Food no where near the quality it was and only half the menu available. some items now £3 more expensive. No thanks we have now switched to a better Greek in Watford. Won’t be returning here unless quality and prices change.

I'm really dissapointed with the new owners and hopefully this review gonna wake them up. The price is higher , the portion is smaller ,they use siracha as chlli and they mistake my order and the guy who was preparing didn't even ask what topping or sauce i want. It was my favourite place before but is not anymore.

The chicken gyros was absolutely divine, simple, perfectly seasoned, just right in portion size. Can't wait to have again!

I think this place has closed down Paid on uber eats for a meal 2 weeks ago only to find shutters were down when I went to pick up. Called the number numerous times no answer. Got a refund from uber eats in the end but just a bit odd. I've been past since still shutters down. I hope they haven't gone out of business the food is fantastic

Food was good. But very bland. Had greek special chicken burger. Burger sauce is not really a special sauce. I was expecting something new.

Have been a few times now and every time the food is BANGING. Cooked really well, lovely bread, excellent friendly service. Go for the mixed Gyros. You will not be disappointed.

18/4 - not good. Soggy pitta, fatty meat and no salad apart from 4 slices of tomato. Will give this place a rest for a while. Been driving past this place and meaning to stop here for a while. Saturday was finally the day! The food was fabulous! I'm looking forward to eating my way through the menu. All kebabs shops in Watford better take note. The Greek Pitta has fresh, tasty, well portioned, delicious food. Well done guys. Keep up the good work 10/10, Don't drop your standards! As the Terminator said "I'll be back"!

Food was cold, missing two items of our order and when I phoned to complain I was told well if you want it you'll have to pick it up, if not claim a refund. Definitely won't order again 😕

If I could leave no stars, I would. Awful food - bland, not fresh. Staff arrogant and rude. Appalling service. Waste of time and money

I had a lamb gyros. Taste was amazing, ingredients all fresh topped with tender juicy lamb. I will be back. Super friendly service and open on Sunday as well.

Tasty pittas and good number of options, including vegetarian. Staff is quick and efficient. Not the most comfortable place to dine in, but probably not their main objective anyway and its great that you do at least have a couple of options if you need the place to sit and eat.

Very nice, clean and tasty. I wish they would use a tortilla instead of the usual thick bread that they use for a wrap - a tortilla wrap is much more travel friendly and convenient to eat

Nice packaging,and that’s all. Sorry to say that , but for me Not worth the money at all. No better than a standard kebab shop, very bland flavours , cheap , tasteless sauce, undercooked chips. The portions are big , but half of the chicken is fat and full of chewy bits . I prefer quality over quantity. First and last time to order. Not recommended.

Firstly food banging Placed a collection order online and arrived a little early, there was a little confusion at first but paid and not five minutes later they handed me our food, my wife and I ordered the mixed merida for 10 pounds and it was simply delicious the presentation was lovely with the chips as the base of the juicy meat the bread conveniently cut into triangles and make for a more pleasant experience than a standard pita kebab, the salad was a nice welcome also bright and fresh I would recommend after a single order and will be coming back for more.

Amazing fresh halal Greek food, very different and unique flavours, we tried different wraps and grill options and enjoyed all of them. Staff is super helpful and courteous, there is parking lot near by so conveniently located for a quick bite or take away.

Gave them another try after a failed delivery last time. Food arrived stone called and very unpleasant. Sorry to say it Greek Pitta Watford, but very poor again.

Nothing to go out your way for. More of a 2am im drunk whats to eat kind of outfit! Soon as I arrived I was asked have you chosen what I want to eat 2 times. At least give me 2 minutes to look at the menu! Rather bland food.. no taste. Arguing behind the doors within the staff. Very uncomfortable. Rushed my food and left.

The lamb was very dry. Asked for no sauce but when I opened it there was sauce inside. Lamb kofte was re-heated and I could only feel the taste and smell of re heated meat. Surely not going back.

Tasty Greek food. Ordered a chicken gyros pitta was very tasty, also lamb chops, they were nicely favoured and well cooked. Good value and decent sized portions. First time ordering, will do so again.

Best greek food. Was so anxious for this venue to open and right I was. Chicken gyros is my fav, with extra tzatziki sauce. Fries are chunky chips and tasty. Food is better when dine in compared to delivery. Staff is friendly and always with a smile on. The greek music on the background is such an extra.

What a joke, the worst kebab I’ve ever had!! From small portion size to smell on the meat that seemed off. Stay away and save your money for something else

*NEW OWNERS* Unfortunately the quality of the food has significantly dropped as mentioned by others in the reviews. It is now no better than a standard kebab shop. Under old ownership this place was fantastic, high quality ingredients for sauces and great flavours. Now unfortunately everything is substituted with cheap ingredients and not fresh. Bring back the old quality!

We were really looking forward to try gyros as they are our favourite but what a shame we got all chicken skin in our gyros meat quality is really bad really disappointed not going to order again.

The food is tasty :) When order went wrong they offered me a fresh order without hassle or question, with nice friendly service.

First found this restaurant on Uber Eats two weeks ago. They’re food is absolutely delicious, the prices are quite reasonable and the customer service is outstanding. Would highly recommend

Delicious cheap spanikopita but sometimes the filo is a tad burnt, which doesn't really matter! Excellent haloumi gyros/souvlaki.

*NEW OWNERS* I gave it 5 stars with the previous owners but I went back and had the worst most disgusting food! I then found out it is under new management. What a shame. Here was my old review (when they first opened) Superb! Their Gyros are amazing, just what Watford needs - some healthy good tasting Greek food has finally arrived in Watford! The staff were welcoming (all had smiles on their faces, friendly ladies working on the till too :) I felt very positive energy from all the staff members!!! Thank you

I placed the order on uber eats. The order was accepted. Then I was told it was out for delivery & would arrive in 5 mins. I waited 40 mins. I called the restaurant and someone picked up the phone sounding very miserable & they just said hello, no restaurant name. Extremely unprofessional. The woman checked my order & said its still with the delivery driver. 10 mins later the restaurant cancelled my order. I waited almost 1 hour for them to just cancel my order & lie about it being on its way.They now wont even answer the phone & now it's so late I can't order from any other restaurant. I am not happy that a restaurant can do this after almost 1 hr of waiting for my food. I have never ordered from here before and certainly won't be again.

Amazing food really hit the spot and the staff make you feel welcome and are so polite Definitely my favourite food spot after trying it.

Not worth the money at all I ordered the prawns, I mostly just got heads and the sauce was too salty Also the calamari was gross

Asked for Mix grill for 2 and its just rubish food also filled all the boxes with topped chips which is not even writen anywhere in menu to be all over chips everywhere ,Paid £28 and something and waited for 30min will never use again

Great place and friendly team. We had chicken gyros box and wrap, both really tasty and felt authentic, drawing on a few years I spent living in greece years ago. Meat was well seasoned and a really good alternative to the German donner. I especially like the tzaziki sauce mixed with the salad meat and chips all wraped in a good pitta combo. There is something comforting about that. Overall, really good and tasty greek food.

What a disappointment Cold rubbery meat tasting nothing like chicken A handful of chips and a tiny amount of lettuce and tomato thrown into a box and a child size portion of flat bread Looked very unappetising and tasted of nothing in our opinion it does not warrant 4.5 stars ??? St Albans Road is filled with every type of takeaway food shop - you are spoilt for choice So choose wisely as this kebab shop is expensive for what they offer and box content is poor and tasteless It’s a big NO from us

Cheap, fresh, good portions, and so delicious! Never once have I been disappointed, even when trying something new. Their wraps are to die for: nicely sized, FULL of veggies and cheese, and cost next to nothing. The guys serving are always smiling and happy to help. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful authentic gyros, quick friendly service and greek portion sizes! The food exceeded expectations probably the best gyros I've had in the UK to date. The spanakopita was served warm with lovely flaky filo. The meat in our gyros portions was so tasty and succulent, salad nice and fresh, the pitta is just like the real ones in Greece (hard to find). I really like that it is family run too. Thanks guys we will be back!

I like this new place. Friendly staff and manager. Had a falafel wrap, which had a nice Greek twist. Soft flat bread stuffed with the usual hummus, salad.... The falafel themeselves were crisp and tasty and the wrap, unusually also came with chips in. And good quality chips too! Never had a falafel wrap with chips before and I like it! Only downside to all this, was that it was slightly on the dry side, and needed some extra sauce, tsatziki, chilli or garlic to complete it. Anyway, minor quibble and I will be going back soon.
