The Greek Meze in Bromley

Had a lovely early summer meal on a Friday evening. George was a lovely host who helped select our orders. The kleftiko was superb!

Very nice and very good greek food, especially the gyros.

I was served greek salad with tons of mayonnaise. Was horrible. I liked the atmosphere there but will not recommend food as it's doesn't look like greek

Absolutely shocking service. Table booked for 8.30pm, didnt get my main until 10.45pm! Felt awful for the waitress as she was trying to serve 50 people alone! So badly organised, shame because could have been great if properly managed. Staff rude and unhelpful but not surprising as they are so over run, too many bookings and not enough staff. 200 people upstairs and only 1 barman - crazy!

Visited for the first time this week for a birthday celebration. Booked a table through Google, easy and convenient. The mezes we had were really good, everyone enjoyed them. Almost all of them came with pitta bread. When it came to mains I had veggie spaghetti and was pretty blant, mostly consisting mashrooms and not very tasty ones, would not recommend. My other half had grill and he enjoyed it. My girls had plain spaghetti and soup of the day- tomato soup. Service was attentive and friendly. Didn't have dessert as cake was waiting at home. Atmosphere was very nice and welcoming.

Terrible customer service. Its a new owner who has really has taken this place down hill. The staff literally rush you off your table and bring you the bill whilst you are still eating. The food is average not authentic at all. The staff need more training even the manager is very rude and tries to get you out to get new customers in. Do not recommend.

Nice atmosphere, good service and clean facilities. The food was slightly disappointing, particularly the baked feta dish which was quite oily. We also ordered saganaki which was slightly dry. The gyro souvlaki and the chicken (lemonato kotopoulo) were decent. Overall, the price didn't match the quality hence the 3 stars.

Food is very good as well as portion size however the service isn’t the best. We booked and paid a table for a large group of people whereas some people were on time others had setbacks . The manager and majority of staff kept rushing us to order food and drinks, at least that is how we felt . The manager also imposed us to leave the restaurant within a certain time since some of the guests were late . During our stay they kept cleaning the table more than enough time , kind of too often. Some of us were still using the plates but clearly they wanted us to leave as soon as possible to freed the area/ table. Good greek food can be found in lots of areas I would not recommend this one specifically as atmosphere and service it is just as important .

Food and service was great but unfortunately for a Saturday night with only a handful of customers it was lacking atmosphere.

Food was very well done. Amazing portions and the service was great. Normally, I'm not a seafood risotto fan but this one was light, creamy and well seasoned. The mix gryo meal was great.We would go again.

Really nicely kitted out restaurant, friendly staff. Decent Gyro kebab and excellent starters and bread. Overall very good for a family meal out.

Haven't been for a while and think it maybe has new owners. The menu had changed slightly and the food was not as good as on previous visits. The service was poor and unprofessional and as we were the only diners, they were hardly rushed! Don't think we will be returning.

Sat at table reservation for 9pm and after M&S met a lady in high street that recommended this Greek restaurant and we had a misunderstanding that the boss was kicking me out for drinking my beer where the New Girl said it was ok! Then I had a conversation that changed her mind and even went out of her way to serve my beer... so if you're in a party vibe this is the place to be. Honestly one of the best restaurants/bar in the area. The food and service has been A* every time we've been. Love it 👍

A trip to the Greek Meze is always fun The atmosphere has been busy and lively every time I've visited. The food is okay (lacks an authentic Greek taste) and service is good. Great place for a visit with friends.

Really disappointed with meal here, my fish and potatoes seriously oversalted and my husbands platter so unappetising he had to return it. Staff did not seem bothered!

invited 3 of my friends for a late evening meal at the Greek Meze , we ordered 2 prawn cocktails before the meal , one friend was not very hungry and just wanted the prawn cocktail , the prawns were awful very chewy and I found it to be inedible . and the main course was just ok at the end I told the waiter that the prawn cocktail was awful that’s why I had left it,,and he said he would have a word with the chef , and then he billed us for it, they had clearly been frozen prawns that were quickly defrosted for us. Will not be returning.

Good food and nice portions. A huge variety of vegan and vegetarian food as well. The only problem was that the music in the restaurant was very loud and was hard to speak with the people on the table. Live music started at some point and was quiet plasent.

Food is nice and plentiful. Drinks however are a little overpriced, which unfortunately makes this a slightly pricey place to eat.

My partner rang 3 hours before and managed to get a table on a Friday night, we just wanted a quick homely meal. We ordered starters and the lamb shank as a main, it was beautiful as always! The staff are polite and friendly and we was in and out within 45 minutes. Perfect if you want to make a night of it too as they had a really good musician playing. Beautiful place highly recommend ☺️

The music inside was a way too loud. They said the clients were too loud. Not a good reason for them say that. The very loud music was the real problem, not people talking.

Can't fault the portions. The big platter for 4 can easily feed an army.

Arriving when it opened on a Sunday, I was straight away impressed with this restaurant's decor as well as professional staff. Our waiter (I didn't ask your name) who was Greek and Bulgarian was excellent, clearly experienced at making customers feel comfortable. It's also spotlessly clean, we sat near the window and I've never seen a window so sparkling. I also loved the music that was playing. Really nice vibe at the restaurant. The Greek salad was delicious, felt like I was actually in Greece again with a whole feta piece was presented on top of the salad. The calamari was delicious, cooked to perfection. So many places calamari is undercooked and greasy, but not here! Really like it and we will return!

Not suitable for families. Music for some reason is so loud that you can't hear anything from the person next to you!! Drinks are nice. The food is mediocre, not exactly Greek.. Yeeros inside the Skepasti was chopped meat not original Greek Yeeros. Customer service was excellent and the food a bit overpriced.

The recent change in menu makes it now have little resemblence to what good Greek food is all about. The lamb kofte (aka adana) has been removed and Greek kebab replacement is now a mix of beef and lamb mince. It clearly now has a much reduced meat content, with a poor texture, and it tasted awful! I wouldn't even think it was worthy of feeding a dog, let alone any of my family. The lamb fillet served we suspect was pork, as it didn't have the taste or look of lamb at all. This cost-cutting exercise will cost you good customers and much needed business. You have been warned!!

We visited in February, a Friday evening, there was 8 of us, all girls. Upon arriving we were NOT told that all the toilet facilities were out of order. We ordered drinks and food. Issues - Volume of food was excessive. We ordered the platters, recommended to get 2x 4people platters by the staff. In an age where cost of living is a real issue and people are going hungry my entire group were upset with the volume of food that was going to waste. The menu does not offer a description of what's included so we had no way of judging. It felt like the restaurant was only interested in the money they would make. - The bad smell. There was a terrible smell all night which we later found out was due to the toilets (every single one of them) blocked and overflowing. - The toilets. After eating our party wanted to use the toilet facilities, we were then told that they were not working. There were people queuing who had been drinking so despite not having any working toilets people were forced to go on top of blocked and into flooded restrooms - yes imagine your worst nightmare. As you can imagine a restaurant full of drunk people on a Friday were going to do what they had to. The staff didn't seem to care, when I questioned them I got told a Plummer had been called earlier but had yet to arrive. It seemed the restaurant just wanted to make money rather than look after the sanitary welfare of their customers. As soon as we found out the toilets were blocked we settled the bill and left. - of the 9 of us a number of us complained to the restaurant. To this day there has been no response and the complaints have been ignored. It's such a shame that a restaurant would put making money over the welfare of customers and to then not even offer an apology.... As per government guidelines it is illegal to sell alcohol with no toilet facilities. Our group will not be back.

I didn't stay to eat. We had a family reservation for mothers day. We had booked a month prior. However we showed up at the time of our booking, though our name was on the system. The guy at the front of house claimed they didn't have space. He claimed he called earlier to find out what was happening with our booking ad it was booked over a month ago but we didn't answer/accept. However my cuz had spoken to someone the day before. We ended up having to wait for them to make space and clean up after possibly asking others to vacate tables. 20 mins after our reservation time we were still waiting. I then bid my family farewell and decided to leave. 😫 I mean what a mess. Don't think I'd ever go back. This was the Plumstead one so who knows maybe service elsewhere is better.

Absolutely Brilliant. We had a family meal for 13 0people for my sons 21st. Food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The DJ was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back .

We went there with special needs child no one helped us when we entered they put us by the door kids they were cold. Service was bad. The food was ok but tiramusu was very. 👎 There was only cream inside. Music was to loud.Not happy at all.

I love a meze whether Turkish or Greek. I have been to lots all over Kent and Essex, this is number 1! Large portions and reasonably priced. The only downside I have for this restaurant is not the restaurant it's the parking, being on a busy high street it's hard to park anywhere This place is a must.

Took my booking, gave formal confirmation through link sent by text. When I went in to confirm all was okay I was told they would have to move me to a ridiculously early booking as they were too busy. Clearly took a later booking for a bigger party and then pushed us out. Do not trust!

Great food options! We ordered the Greek wine which was amazing! We loved all the apps and the food options We were there on a Friday and they had live music and we loved that too made the experience a great one Our sever was Courtney… she and Yano’s took great care of us! We will definitely be back!

Really lovely place. Staff warm and welcoming, great cocktail selection. When asking about some of the more mysterious cocktails (only listing one ingredient so that you get a surprise when it arrives) one of the mixologists asked what kind of tastes I liked and gave my friend and I a complimentary cocktail to try out on the house - and it was fabulous! Highly recommended.

Called in to The Greek Meze on a Monday night, with no recommendation and just as we were passing and it caught our eye. Really cannot say enough about the place. The food is delicious, portions are generous and cocktails tasty. The team are friendly, accommodating and helpful with suggestions. We'll be recommending to friends and family and will definitely be back.

Food was mediocre, but decor is nice. Moussaka was served cold such that the bechamel had solidified and otherwise the menu was an uninspiring tribute to Greek cuisine.

Had a fantastic meal to celebrate a family birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Plenty of vegetarian options and also helpful with special diets. Have been here several times. Can be expensive but don't over order because the meals are enormous. They do supply containers if you do not finish and want to take food home

Absolutely cannot fault this place. Was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. From start to finish, the customer service was top tier. Nice food and service..big portions and tasty. The sharing platters are a very good size and they cook on open charcoal which is what's needed. Shame they don't do a traditional Greek Meze though. Loud music and a bit of a party vibe. A good night out.
