The Greek Meze 2 in Bexley

Where do I begin, my daughter booked and organised a table as a surprise for my 50th birthday, two months before the date. The table was booked for 7pm, my partner’s job was to get me there for 7.30. When I arrived I was greeted by everyone there for my celebration standing in the doorway. Still waiting for the table. We as a party of 16 had to wait until 8.30pm to be seated. It then took the staff who were obviously understaffed nearly 30min to ask us for our meal order, the starter was served to the table relatively quickly. However the presentation of the food looked like my 2 year old grandson had placed it together. I personally had the garlic prawns. I had on my plate 3 tiny king prawns with a tasteless sauce poured over it, with 4 pieces of pitta thrown on the side. The best starter served was mussels it was presented and tasted lovely. After the stater was served they intermittently removed plates from our table over the next 20min. The man that was obviously tasked with the job of removing empty glasses from the table for some unknown reason decided to ignore the empty glasses on the table and remove to of our party full drinks. After an hour of waiting and asking where our main course was, a waiter rocked up to the table to ask if we would like coffee and dessert. Our main course arrived they completely forgot one of our parties main course, one of them was cold and the others were lukewarm. The venue is a beautiful venue, the ladies singing were amazing. I’m not sure if they just take bookings and hope for the best that parties will not turn up, it may be that this was a particularly short staffed night. I am sorry to say I will not be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone.

One of the worst brunches I have EVER done. And I have done multiple brunches in central London and local…. Entertainment great. Food and drinks not. Can’t hear over the music and takes so long to get a drink. I wouldn’t class this as a bottomless brunch because there is nothing bottomless about it… They take ages to bring your drink and when you complain then they take even longer!! One of the biggest waste of money I have spent. And a disappointment to a birthday brunch!!!

Excellent night here great food and drinks the entertainment is fab really made the night the venue is lovely the flowers chandelier ect really good night out great vibe 💜

First time visiting the food was incredible and we got so much! , atmosphere was great. There was entertainment for most of the meal. The fire girl Sacha was amazing!! Door staff were lovely. Will definitely be back.

Alway have a great time at the Greek meze 2. Staff are excellent, service is amazing and the entertainment is great. Food and cocktails are delicious. We always visit for drinks and dinner and enjoy it every time without fail. The brunch/drunch is a great laugh to.

Fab night at brunch with friends, especially to Tommy who served us 💗 we had the drunch menu which was fabulous and we stayed all evening

Love this place. Went on Friday night with another couple. The service and food were excellent! They had a lady singer going round singing all the cheesey stuff, getting all the ladies up to dance and there’s a dj area upstairs, full of youngsters, which is also good. The security are great and are polite and chatty and the bar staff are quick and efficient. 👍

Underwhelming is an understatement! Waited 25 mins for our table! The food was burned and overcooked. Had to ask 3 times for our drink and mine never turned up in the end. Nobody offered us desert menu! Won’t be back for sure!

Ate at the Greek Meze 2 as a treat for me and my other half. Had been once before, last summer and it was really nice. On this ocassion however, the menu had changed and seemed generally more mediterranean than Greek. There were Greek dishes and having the mixed hot meze which was nice, the range of specific Greek dishes was limited. The service was quick and the staff friendly, even though there were three large family parties going on. Food quality was good and prices reasonable but the place was very noisy and trying to have a conversation was pretty much impossible. Not as good as our previous visit and I would still recommend this place to eat but note the above.

Went here last Saturday, terrific party atmosphere. There were 2 live singers who were both very good and we had a great night. Nice food but nearly everything came with lots of chips and would have preferred bulgar or rice which we could not see on the menu. The portions appeared large but swamped with chips and not that much meat on the skewers. Not the best food we have had ,but still very good and we would not hesitate in going here again for a good night.

Very noisy music, impossible to hear each other including members of staff. Felt like in the night club not restaurant. Very disappointed.

Don’t bother! Overpriced, overbooked, chaotic, shambolic. Loud. So many people the bar upstairs was borderline dangerous. Food is ok but I’d never return! Much nicer places to spend your money than here. Pure greed trying to book as many people in as possible not caring...

Having been to Greece this year, and to Greek Meze 2 twice, I feel qualified to say this place is overrated. The food is very very average, not authentically Greek and the waiting staff are the most miserable/angry looking bunch of men you could meet....
