Very decent food here, even the chips are better than you'd expect. Reasonable pricing and a nice place inside too.

I loved this place. Let me add that I’m part Greek Cypriot so I know the food tastes Greek for sure! It is now closed, I don’t think they will re-open again but I’m not 100% sure

Wanted yo try here for a while so after returning from our greek holiday there was no better time to try it. We were greeted on entry and served by friendly staff. Wow the food was lovely! We had stifardo,moussaka ( that came with greek potatoes)and a gyros plate. The portions were very generous and worth the price. Will definitely be visiting again. It was lovely that the owner came to ask how everything was and also to say thank you as we left.

We visited the greek on a friday evening at 7pm for the first time. I rang at 4pm on friday to make a reservation and was told we could arrive any time as there was no other reservations, this was slightly worrying for a friday night but we are so glad we went! When we arrived we found our selves in a newly refurbished take away but the steating area was like no other take away, the 4/5 rustic wooden tables and new blue leather tables gave a lovely feel. We were seated and given menus which are the same menu as the take away menu, it is small but comprehencive all areas were covered of your greek favorites. I went to the front to oder and was greeted by who I asume is the owner who was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home he even offered to make my order exactly how I like it even though it isnt on the menu. When the food arrived we were blown away with the portion sizes! The plates were piled high. Normally restaurant mask bland, badly cooked food with large portions but not here! Everything tasted great, and authentic and was cooked to perfection. When we were just about finished the owner came over to talk with us and ask how everyhing was. He even gave us a holiday reccomendation to go to crete! It felt lime chatting with an old friend. The only down side to the greek is the over atmosphere when sat in to eat as there is few people eating in it is now the usual hustle and bustle of a restaurant. Although there was lots of takeaway/delivery orders rang though. If you are unsure to try the greek i 100% reccommend! And we will be visiting again to sit in and taking family!

I ordered takeaway. It came super fast but I was disappointed with the flavours. We ordered a mix grill for two. It was Chip shop style chips with bland rice and meats, lovely tzatsiki and pita but all round disappointed. Such a shame.

Orders mixed grill for £29 got a decent size tray full of meat and fries however meet was uncooked as well vast majority of fries were old/dark inside. Apart of salad all food was really bland and meet did taste funky. Don't order

This restaurant does both eat in and take out and I’ve ordered take-out a couple of times now. The meals were well presented, piping hot and very tasty. There is a good choice of dishes and something that’s very nice is that their kebabs are made with carved meat not processed garbage. I also enjoyed the moussaka very much and the aubergine fritters. The lemon potatoes are really something different and delicious. I’d never heard of them before but will be ordering them again. The Greek also has a lovely intimate ambiance for eat-in and do weddings and other special occasions. We recommend!

Can’t thank The Greek enough for our wedding catering, truly amazing food and experience for our guests that made our day extra special. When planning our wedding we knew we wanted something a bit different to the traditional wedding breakfast and ended up choosing The Greek as our caterer for our big day. We went into the restaurant with a rough idea of what we wanted and we’re expertly guided by Mimis and Paris to create a menu that would work for our guest numbers and timings. Communication was always great and we had a few more meetings to fine tune details with the team. The guys made the process easy and fun and took away a lot of the stress from the planning! When the day arrived the team had prepped everything ready and the food service started bang on time. The food exceeded our already high expectations and our guests absolutely loved it. Most went back for second and third helpings and there was plenty to go around! We had numerous comments on how this was the best wedding food guests ever had and it was great to have something other than a traditional roast dinner which can be a bit heavy when you are up dancing all night! All the team out did themselves and we really appreciate all the hard work and passion that went into our wedding catering. A special thank you to Mimis for all the care and attention for our big day, he really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Couldn’t recommend The Greek enough as a wedding caterer. All our thanks Connor and Eve (the happy couple)

Love Love Love the food from here, we also go to greece for our holidays so this place is a my go to takeaway, i ordered online and didnt notice the date was wrong however i called up and they sorted asap for me. FANTASTIC. Highly recommended.

Chicken gyros was legendary and I don’t have enough words to describe the pork gyros. Absolutely amazing! I will definitely come back and try all the other dishes.

Absolutely delicious food and plenty of it in the mixed Gyros we had tonight. Why not offer an XL Gyros with extra meat for an extra fiver or so, I'd gladly pay more when I've had a hard day grafting and would like a bit extra. I'm nicely full tonight though after not eating since last night, so I'm sure your portions are more than enough for the average person. 😁 Thanks for a lovely meal, we'll be ordering again really soon. 😊

Ive eaten in once myself and the rest I have had takeaway meals with my wife and the whole family loves it. The best greek in Yorkshire possibly the UK all I know is the owner is great with us everytime we go he has a laugh and joke with us. It makes it an incredible dining experience a must try

Me and my family have ordered from The Greek numerous times and we are never disappointed the food is amazing. My partner and daughter ordered the pork gyros and I ordered the halloumi gyros. I would 100% recommend to all my friends and family and will be returning soon.

Had a flyer through the post and we’ve been after a Greek restaurant for ages, thought we’d try it and so glad we did. I had the meal for one and it’s massive, for leftovers for at least tomorrow and my partner had mixed gyros which he said was lovely. Very tasty, good value for money and good customer service.

Well 1st time here for a take out When we got home order not quite right rang them up and bless them they sent a full replacement meal out for both of us within 15 minutes Food gorgeous now totally stuffed 😋 will definitely be going back especially for the price and quality of food and service 😋

First time ordering, was surprised how far they deliver which is a huge bonus when you want something different for once. Delivery time was within estimate too! Lovely guy. The food was amazing for me I loved mine of the halloumi fries and mixed gyros, eldest wasn't too keen on hers but doesn't reflect on the chef just my daughters taste buds. Husband was happy with his taste wise just criticised the price which is higher than what we have paid for gyros and Greek takeout before. But overall a very enjoyed meal. Thankyou.

Was initially looking forward to this place when it opened but put off by the reviews. Decided to try it against my better judgment and wish I hadn’t. The food was bland takeaway quality like you can get from anywhere and the place is just that, not the Greek restaurant it’s pretending to be. If you’ve had plenty to drink and just want something on the way home then you’ll be fine but that’s it. I won’t be having anything from here again

Had a selection of vegetarian dishes and everything was lovely.

From moment stepped out of car to cross to establishment should have turned back, air filled with smell of burned food. On arriving it became apparent that the so called restaurant is more truthfully a takeaway with few plastic chairs and tables. The service from the lady's on counter was polite and overall waiting time acceptable but that's the only positive. This place is a very scaled down take on Greek food possibility to fit immediate market -clients etc but disappointing as it could be so much more. There isn't even lamb kofta! Or many rice dishes. The main meal I had is nothing like what my mum makes and was burned . Ended up putting in bin. My cheese cake too went in bin as it seemed to be homemade but with jam on top instead of fresh compote. I would not recommend this place unless you literally had few drinks and can't be bothered to cook.

Great quality food. However portions are very small. I ordered a mixed souvlaki box and when I opened it I assumed it was a joke because the portion was so small. For £10 I would expect more. I think generally speaking people love the food but must be kidding themselves if they say portions are decent. That being said I would recommend ordering a gyros for £5.50 if you want a decent portion for a decent price. I would order 2 gyros for £11 in order to have a decent meal and feel satisfied. *** I have attached a photo of the mixed souvlaki box.

We ordered a delivery and apart from a very minor delivery issue everything was good. We ordered a pork giro and a hallumi giro meal box and it was top dollar. I will definitely order again.

The portion size is ridiculously small, I've never seen such a small portion of salad with a takeaway. The hummus tasted very strange and the pitta bread was old. The chips were scabby and soft but managed to hide the fact that there was very little meat. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Stunning. This is as authentic as I've had. Portion sizes were spot on. We ordered two pork gyros, the sausage, and zucchini fritters. Just over 20 quid. Can't go wrong. The meat was deliciously seasoned and cooked. They even gave us a sample of the lemon potatoes to try! Be careful guys. Stay true to your vision. Don't fall into the western takeaway trap of quantity over quality. I would have liked more salad in my gyros. I also don't want chips in there either. I'll order a side of chips if I want them. Keep up the good work.

Sorry to say but it's a 1star for me and I'm so disappointed as I was so looking forward it this as i love Greek food. I lived there for a few years . Scabby chips, rubber halloumi, hardly any salad or sauce only good part was the meat that my husband had on his that he says was a bit over powering but nice .

Ordered from here for the first time the other day and it was amazing literally took me back to when I first tried a gyro in Greece Ordered the same today and I was stocked how bad it was first got the order wrong I ask for no salad but still wanted sauce I got no sauce then the quality of the food was like it was yesterday's the bread was chewy didn't seem like the same bread the meat was dry and some bits hard and cold very disappointed GOT TO STICK TO THE SAME QUALITY OR ITS JUST ANOTHER KEBAB SHOP !!!

Food was good i got what i ordered and surprisingly still warm considering it took 1 hour and 15 mins to get to me after ordering.Couldn’t believe that the Delivery guy threw a stone at my front door because he didn’t know where my gate was then dropped my changed all over my garden so i had to go back in and get my torch to find my change cos it was dark. nice food but service was disgraceful

I must say, I’m so happy a Greek place that cooks authentic and traditional delicious Mediterranean food has opened locally. 👏 🥰 Every dish I’ve tried so far has been soo good, more ish😋 and delicious. And I can say this being a Cypriot myself. The quality of their food is top notch along with their high spec equipment. The owners are very kind and welcoming. Great experience all round. Doing really well for opening only recently. I’m looking forward to trying more things on the menu. Many thanks 😊

Absolutely shocking no food turned up. Order at 16:15, phoned several times to be told it was on way them at 18:30 told just doing order now. Cancelled as appalling system for delivery and placing order.

Pork was dry, wasn't wrapped together as a gyro should be. Small amount of meat, not worth the money at all.

It was nice…the pork gyros were good….the sauce on the gyros was really nice the chips not so much, we tried the pork kebab…not really bothered tbh…it was just a tiny skewer with 4 bits of pork on it….I will definitely order from them again….it’s new and they were really busy….staff are lovely and friendly….well done :-)

Beautiful!!! So glad our village has been chosen for this little gem. Had the mixed gyros and some lemon potatoes. Pitta is so light and fluffy. Real home cut chips. Can't wait to visit again.
