Perfection! The food is delicious and very well presented, the service is very helpful and nothing is too much for them, and the atmosphere is authentic and as a Greek myself that has been to Greece, I mean there’s no difference other than the weather outside which is of course not controllable 🤣 Shocks me to see others have ever thought of this restaurant as anything over than 5 stars because this is one of them restaurants where it’s good and you know it will be time after time. And in this day and age, not many restaurants have that to them anymore so this is definitely one to try if you haven’t already, and one to return to if you haven’t been in the past 24 hours!!! P.S: They do the best Halloumi cheese, definitely worth trying from my experience.

We’ve been a few times now and it’s now my favourite place to come when visiting Lichfield. The food is always fresh and served hot. The pork souvlaki was absolutely delicious and so tender. Service is excellent and everywhere is so clean. Thank you

Food took us back to Rhodes was amazing

Me and my wife went for my birthday three weeks ago we had the sharer platter we waited quite a while for the food and when it came out it had chips on the bottom and cold lettuce then four skewers and kabab meat on top of the cold lettuce which made the chips cold and the meat we didn't complain about it at the time as we had waited so long already we just had the food and left I must say I think the salad should be served in a different bowl to the hot food as I think if the meat had been hotter it would have been nice??

Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Only wished that it was in Stone and not in Lichfield to save the journey.

Booked for a 60th birthday and had high hopes but very disappointed. We were sat at table before 5pm but never received starters until 6:10pm mains took even longer and when they arrived they smelled and tasted like smoke...I didn't eat mine. Gave a free round of drinks to apologise for wait but still expensive for inedible meal. Very disappointed as I had heard good reviews :(

Expect a wait on food, there's only as far as we could see three members of staff (including chef) for a very busy restaurant, but it's worth the wait. Food was absolutely beautiful, portions were huge and very good value for money. Staff were very friendly, suspected that they were the owners of the establishment and if so they should be very proud. Only negative was the Uber drivers need to learn how to close the door, the draft is freezing in January 🤣

My second visit to the Greek Chef. First time just before Christmas with friends, where I experienced the sharing platter.. This time with my wife and daughter.. My wife and I had the sharing platter for 2, and my daughter had the Lamb Shank. Both absolutely gorgeous!! Service exceptional. Already planning another visit with our other daughter. 😊

We came here for a family meal last week and had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious and the lady working there was lovely. We will definitely be returning! I've only done 4 stars on atmosphere as it was just a touch cold in the restaurant, but other than that perfect!

Lovely little Greek restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food tasty, although the menu could do with adding some extra sides to compliment the main meals. Puddings were delicious! If going as couples or groups I would definitely recommend the sharing platters as you get a huge amount and a nice variety. Well worth a visit!

Fantastic restaurant, lovely place, spotlessly clean, very friendly staff and excellent food. The kleftiko was different to what I’ve had elsewhere but it was delightful, my wife had the beef stifado again delicious. Can’t fault the place at all, absolutely brilliant, will definitely be returning

What a lovely place. Food was excellent with good portions. Staff were very good. Had mixed grill platter which was excellent but sadly failed to finish it.... Would recommend you give it a try 😉

Had a wonderful meal before our music concert nearby. Server was attentive, food was hot and interior was cheery! Good sized portions meant I had leftovers, too!

I ordered the vegetarian moussaka, but the experience was disappointing from the start. Service was slow, and when my meal finally arrived, it was cold in the middle—not once, but twice. Even after sending it back for a third attempt, it was only lukewarm in the centre. I tried to eat some of it, but it lacked flavour and wasn’t enjoyable.

The beef stifado was disappointingly bland, and the chicken souvlaki didn’t have much flavour either. The tzatziki was enjoyable, but overall, the meal fell short of expectations. Quite a let-down, unfortunately.

OMG, went tonight, four of us, had starters, and then sharing platter for four, and embarrassingly couldn't finish even half of platter, too big for us, amazing food and service, loved it

We recently came back from crete. Loved the food over there. Thought as this is a Greek restaurant it would be something similar. Had olives to start, extremely salty. The beef stifado was bland. Had the chicken Souvlaki and again there was no flavour. Tzatziki was nice, over all disappointed.

Great food and service, reasonable prices

The moussaka was burnt and arrived without the advertised sides, which was disappointing. The chicken souvlaki was also a letdown; it tasted like processed meat and was slathered in an overly tangy mustard that felt very un-Greek. Overall, the meal lacked authenticity and left much to be desired.

Just returned home from a delightful lunchtime meal at the Greek Chef. The food was tasty and plentiful. Service provided with a smile.

Fabulous meal with my daughter for her belated birthday. We had the 2 course lunch menu-dolmades and spanikopta for starters and moussaka and chicken slouvaki and greek salad for mains. Food was delicious, lady serving was lovely and finishing touch was a chocolate dessert brought out for my daughter's birthday to the backdrop of 'Happy Birthday' Will certainly be returning.

This little restaurant is an absolute find! Everything about this place is amazing, the portions are huge, we had the share platter for 4 and couldn't finish it. The desserts are homemade and amazing, the lady who served us was just the loveliest person. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Have now been a few times and makes me wish I had grown up being greek. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. More people must know how good this place is.

This is the best authentic greek restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. The food was incredible, the staff were helpful and attentive and the atmosphere had me believing I was on holiday in Greece. Couldn't fault the restaurant if I tried and I can't wait to go back!

Great food and nice atmosphere. Three hours ago I dined there and left with very good impressions. I didn't make a reservation and left surprised when entering Friday night and all tables on the first floor were occupied. The waiter showed a free table on the second floor in quite corner. I ordered Tirokafteri and Horiatiki (Greek salad), Haloumi souvlaki - gorgeous taste. Only didn't see (my mistake ) - there is no meat in the Haloumi souvlaki and the main meal was - vegetarian 😂😂🤣. For desert I chose Portokalopita - an orange pie with two balls of ice cream - the taste divine - strong recommend. Warning!!! I forgot to mention - there was a huge parking on the left of restaurant - Friday busy night was full of cars - drove 10 min in circle inside and no free spot and no one leave it - I gave up and found another parking behind the restaurant. Both parkings were paid but first one I paid in advance at home and didn't have chance to use it.....

We visited here with some friends for the first time and ordered the meat platter for 4. The quality of the meat, the portion and the price was such an amazing deal! We felt the meat was cooked to perfection and we will be making plans to come back again!

Food was very over priced, service was non existent, constantly trying to get the staff's attention to have to trouble them for another drink to be ignored over and over, wait time for food to be served is terrible. would avoid at all costs.

Eleven of us went for a family birthday. We were seated in a very cosy spot, were served quickly and efficiently. The food was outstanding. Tasty, delicious and the portions were generous. We tried a range of meals and they were all equally very enjoyable . The deserts were fantastic for those with a sweet tooth 😇 All round the staff were great , always at hand but never underfoot a lovely balance that made our family occasion feel really special

I have eaten gyros in Greece and this was like being back there, only thing missing was the beach outside the door! Very authentic delicious tasting greek food with friendly service and staff. We had the Spinakopita to start and pork and chicken gyros as mains along with Alpha beer, which my husband has missed since he lived there (hard to find!). Delicious food and a lovely restaurant. Definitely recommend and we will get back.

Highly recommend The Greek Chef! Our mixed platter was outstanding and even our 3 children agreed with us, we all said it's the nicest meal out we have had in a longtime. Beautiful restaurant and our waitress was just amazing, very helpful and couldn't do more for us. We will definitely be returning soon xx

Beautiful food freshly cooked. Wide choice of meals to choose from.. Go hungry, large portions. Good deals are available on two or 3 courses. Five of us settled down to taste each others food and were blown away. Pleasant interactions with staff and other customers. This restaurant is well worth the walk for something delicious and a little bit different.

Great restaurant, went on a quiet Monday evening, after a hard day out cycling, food very good, waitress very welcoming, nice atmosphere, good selection of Greek beers, reminded me of a trip to Santorini earlier in the year

Three stars for lovely staff but overall disappointing. A long wait. Starters (dolmades and tzatziki)were pretty good. Mains were pretty poor. Moussaka was burned and came without the listed sides. Chicken souvlaki not nice at all Tasted of processed meat and came smothered in very un-Greek mustard. Overall not very authentic.

We’ve had some excellent meals here but today was the first time we tried the fixed price lunch menu, wow! The same fantastic quality and quantity as the normal menu, even better value for money.

Introduced the restaurant to friends for lunch and couldn't have found a better place for Greek food. The sevice was impeccable from Anna and Ola. The food was beautiful and certainly plentiful. Price for the 2 course lunch was unbeatable for the amount and quality of food served. Would highly recommend.

Perfect service, blue and white decor that makes you think you are in the Cyclades. The taste of the food and wine was delicious, the plate for two was quite enough for three. The value for money is fantastic. I highly recommend The Greek Chef Restaurant.

Got a delivery service today Stifado Rice and Greek salad. Salad was good but little portions and lacked presentation. Don’t think I’ll bother again. It was passable but not enjoyable I’m afraid. Uninspiring. It wasn’t cheap either!

Delicious authentic food with excellent vegetarian options. You can make a meal with a selection of starters; the dolmades and gigantes are fantastic. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Very friendly service, always made to feel welcome. Thank you!

Eating here took me back to a fab trip To Athens. A very warm welcome excellent Greek food fresh and authentic. We had houmos starter home made and fresh and then halumi and pork soulvaki. Will be going back to work through the menu!

Went here for lunch to try the lunch deal 2 courses £12 , food was delicious and so filling and you get a decent portion for the price too. Will definitely be returning.

Myself and my partner had planned a day trip to Lichfield but left our lunch options open to look around the town. We stumbled across this restaurant and can honestly say what a gem! The were greeted by the serving staff who showed us to a free table. They've got some amazing traditional cuisine made with fresh ingredients. We had the lunch special which was 2 courses for £12. The wait time for food was a little slow, due to a large party on the next table, we didn't complain (we understood) and the staff took it on themselves to offer us a a couple of complimentary drinks for the wait, which we welcomed with surprise! The food was absolutely delicious and great serving sizes for the price. The chicken gyros and Moussaka were fantastic. We're 100% going to visit again, it was lovely to be treated so well and it felt like a mini holiday.

We've been three times now, each time for lunch, and each time we have been bowled over by the quality of the food served. The starters were tasty, for the most part. The houmous portion was the equivalent of 2 supermarket portions with one (very, very tasty) pitta bread. Even a third of the portion presented would have been plenty. The calamari was delicious and the right size, but the "chicken pie" starter was not great. It was deep fried and too heavy for a starter. The main courses were similarly huge. Neither of us was keen on the moussaka. I was expecting Greek cheese but had a liberal sprinkling of cheddar. The only main we had which we could not fault was the gyro, which was deconstructed but very tasty, albeit huge. Other things to note. We ordered the Greek salad, but it came rustically chunky, undressed, and without flavour. Won't be ordering that again. Also, although not specified on the menu, several dishes arrived with random gratings of cheddar. I hate cheddar, but my part doesn't. Even so, put it on the menu or don't serve it. The house wine was good value and easy drinking and the atmosphere ok. Service was attentive on each occasion. I just wish the portions were smaller, for the sake of their bottom line if not my appetite and waistline.

It was absolutely incredible, genuinely one of the best places I have ever visited. Annie was exceptional, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would 1000% recommend. The meat on the platter was flavoursome and very tender. We will definitely come back.

We have been to the restaurant a few times and always highly rate it. The gyros is amazing, the best fresh tzaziki you could get. We did end up ordering a takeaway and were quite dissapointed with the food so I'll stick to going there in person 🙂

A really good selection of authentic tasting food freshly prepared. Very tasty vegetarian and meat option. Lovely waitress, excellent service and spotless establishment. Will come again.

This restaurant is a little gem. The food is delicious, well presented with generous portion sizes. The lunchtime menu is excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend The Greek Chef and look forward to returning soon.

Great food, just what we needed whilst out and about..

Beaatufully cooked, authentic Greek food, comprehensive menu, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely setting. What's not to love? We were a large party of 11, including three older and two young children. At no point were we made to feel anything other than very welcome.

We visited here for my Mums birthday. There were 6 of us and we had booked it two weeks in advance. When we arrived they told us our table wouldn’t be ready for 40 minutes, so we waited but was an inconvenience. My Mum had been in a week earlier to ask specifically whether they could prepare the Sea Bass off the lunch menu as a main, they said yes, but when we ordered this at the dinner they tried to charge us extra and came out with the smallest portion of fish and unseasoned rice. It was rubbish compared to the other portions. Owing to the wait we were promised free drinks but these hadn’t of been taken off the tab when we received the receipt. I hate to slate the place as it’s a lovely independently owned restaurant but the service and food really wasn’t up to scratch. Improvement is needed.

Excellent venue, reasonably priced

Went for lunch. A great little gem doing a 2 course lunch for £12. Fantastic value for money. Table of 4. All food we had was really nice and the service was good too. Recommended lunch booking on a Saturday. Some folk got lucky and got a table, other folk being turned away as the place was full.

Wide range of delicious Greek food. Hearty portion sizes and a good drinks selection. Great lunch deals and a fantastic atmosphere make this a must visit.

Wonderful little place, can’t believe I’ve left it so long to try. Recently my cousins visited and couldn’t speak highly enough about his experience, so while in Lichfield I decided try. I went in the afternoon and they had a. Two course menu for £12 which was excellent value for the quality of food! I had the chicken wing starter and pork souvlaki main, both fantastically decorated, abd tasted delicious! The waitress was wonderful, professional and friendly. The restaurant was clean and had a a lovely vibe, it seemed very traditional and for a moment you may think you had escaped Lichfield. Excellent food, service and decor. Will certainly go again.

I thought the food was great and very tasty. First experience of Greek food. The service was a bit confused and delayed but the staff did their best to mitigate some backoffice issue and were friendly about it.
