Wow! What an amazing place this is. My boyfriend requested a quiet area and was shown to a lovely area to enjoy our meal. Food delicious. Staff incredibly attentive. Without a shadow of a doubt we shall return. Had the best date night here Thank you

Wonderful food and staff great value for money and excellent disabled access We visited yesterday for a 60th birthday celebration and was treated to gorgeous food and lovely helpful staff. Disabled access was good no stairs and toilets on same lev l too Highly recommend this restaurant fantastic experience

We got the mixed grill for 2 people all the meats and kebabs were very tasty and well cooked plenty of pitta bread for the dips the tatziki was a bit tasteless no greek spices on the chips and the greek salad was mainly peppers

Need comfier seating but cannot fault the food

The food was beautiful and all seven of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The only comment we have, is the presumed "service charge". We believe we, as customers should choose this without the amount presumption. We look forward to our next visit soon

Stopped here for lunch on my birthday and sat outside in the sun. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely beautiful and authentic. We don't live locally but I will be planning another trip so we can visit again! We got the mixed grill for two which I recommend.

Ate here as a large party of 11 for a birthday treat. Whilst the food, in general was nice, what let it down was the service which was a shame as I have read reviews where this has been amazing. The waitress was quite abrupt and rude when asking what people wanted and on more than one occasion tutted at the group. The starters were served and we were told we had everything, however 2 dishes were missing. When we asked about these, they informed us they were just cooking them but not politely. The mains arrived and there was no where to put them as the starters had not been cleared. We were asked to stack our plates which we did politely but were made to feel like a terrible inconvenience as stuff didn’t fit on the table and had to point out to them that if perhaps they cleared the dirty plates then things might fit. Again more tutting and eye rolling. Food nice, service, not what we expected.

If you are in Hessle, you don’t need to look around for dinner. The Greek is the place to be. You’ll not regret it. Best greek cuisine in town ❤️

Booked online, which turned out to be a good move! It was full! Tuesday night, which we took as a good sign. Annnd it was, really nice warm welcome and placed in the snug room to the rear. Good choice of authentic Greek food. We had a couple of cold and warm starters. The vine leaves around rice were delicious. We had mixed gyros each for our mains. HIGHLY recommend, so tasty, and the plate, all though it looked small, was packed full of delicious tomatoes, meat, onions, and very tasty fries. For afters, we had two puds, which we shared. One was orange and syrup cake, and the other was a flakie pastry with custard filling with icing sugar (?) on top. The Mythos larger was cold and went down well. Will I go again? YES! Book, enjoy!! Very reasonable priced too. Forgot to take pictures to busy eating 🙃 😅 a little word of thanks to the young lady that served us, she was brilliant knew her stuff friendly and nice to talk too.

The food was ok, but nothing special. The meat dishes were sizable and filling, mainly because of the large amount of chips and pitta bread on the plate. The meze were on the small side, for the money. E.g. £9 for one sausage. The "homemade olive bread" tasted exactly like Jackson's white bloomer with olive oil drizzled over (£4.80 for 5 or 6 pieces.) The greek salad was not very tasty, and is probably left for when salad is in season (we went in march.) The house Red (£17.50 a bottle) is not recommended. Service was prompt, and the atmosphere pleasant if a little noisy (it was a Saturday night.)

Absolutely amazing. And well worth the money had to to take some food home too!!!! It was still as good as when I had pregancy cravings for it 🤣🤣🤣 So nice to still see so many people come out to a lovely dinner on a TUESDAY! See you soon x

Good food, reasonably priced, busy and friendly enough. This is a fairly small independent cosy restaurant. Staff are young but attentive. Good service albeit a little clinical.

I was quite disappointed when we visited as a family group. I had an open Gyros with mixed meat, my wife had a Lamb Kefte. The whole meal was dry and the mixed meat was just a mixture of pork. At around £30 per head I won’t be rushing back. We were overloaded with chips and Pitta, it needed more dips. The place was busy for a Tuesday evening, and the Just Eat and Uber service appeared to work efficiently.

Lovely food - gyros portion was huge! Fresh Greek salad. I did notice that I had a big thirst through the night, which I often get with high salt content. Overall delicious.

Really enjoy going to The Greek in Hessle. Don't think it's ever disappointed me, good food portions, friendly staff and usually quick service. Ideal for both meat eaters and veggies. Would definitely recommend

First time eating at the Greek in hessle and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Got the mixed grill sharing platter for two and it was lovely, staff all very friendly and atmosphere nice.

Although I have never sat in to eat, Kye, the owner went above and beyond to ensure our food was delivered when Uber decided to cancel our delivery. Great service. I will always use them ❤️

Packaged food!! Instead of meat, they put mushrooms and everything else. Meat 30g. in portion. Better not order.

Had chicken gyros Hardly any chicken… small flakes of meat. Cost £10.50 but in reality probably £1 Menu was poor , will not return certainly not value for money

A group of 10 of us came for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival we ordered drinks including cocktails which were fantastic and the staff were friendly. We ordered 5 of the sharing boards as well as some halloumi sticks and calamari. Staff said they would bring out the halloumi and calamari first as the boards would take a while. This was fine and service was great so after a couple more drinks the boards arrived. These were incredible! Me and my fiance don’t eat lamb so we were able to change this to add on extra of the other meat with no issues which was great. We all left happy with our meals and our experience!

Had a delivery which was very disappointing..almost cold ..chips in a tray had sweated gone limp and like cardboard couldn't eat them at £5 each bit of a waste. The haloumi wrap was too stodgy as a thick naan bread was used so was just too much bread and not enough filling. Alot of waste really. Maybe the food is better dining in but I wouldn't recommend a delivery.

Very nice small restaurant serving Greek food, the menu was not extensive but there was enough choice, book in advance.

Atmosphere and food fantastic. We were back in Hessle visiting family and The Greek came highly recommended. As previously frequent holidaygoers to the Greek islands as a family when the kids were younger, we found the food and atmosphere to be perfectly authentic. We will be back.

Busy for a Tuesday night. Food and service acceptable but not amazing. Had a mix of hot and cold meze. On arrival we found our reservation had been added to the diary wrong and instead of an apology they said you must have called the wrong restaurant. On showing our call log they then realised it was their mistake. Luckily there was still space a disappointing start.

The food is good but not exceptional. The portions seem abundant only because the dishes add a lot of pitta and chips The place is clean and the service is normal. I recommend it if you are not hungry!!

Always very friendly and welcoming. The food never fails to get me thinking of summer holidays and warmer climates. No small portions, I can rarely finish the entire meal, and the Baclava is absolutely amazing. Whether you want lunch or dinner I would highly recommend the Greek.

We came tonight for a meal with our 3 children and had such a lovely meal! The food was fantastic and service exceptional👌🏽 ! Our daughter has a food allergy and the manager was amazing and so helpful with everything. The rest of the staff were all so smiley and friendly and a big thank you to the manager who was great! We had two of the mixed grills and we all left so full and enjoyed everything and it was great to get to try a bit of everything! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you 🤩

A group of 14 catered for. Had a table for two hours. Unsurprisingly it was busy / lively for a Friday night. The mixed gyros was great. Ask for it open. £2 more but worth it. Waiting staff friendly and helpful. Will be going back.

Do not use uber -eats Says it was delivered but it wasn’t we had to reorder and pay twice ( how ever the food we did get was really nice )

My first time in this restaurant but second time visiting the chain/group of restaurants having visited the other in Hull. The food was yummy and came out hot! The staff were super friendly and took our orders promptly. I think the food was nicer & larger portions in the other branch (I may be mistaken on the portions!) We also were asked if we wanted our Gyros wrapped or on the plate but at this branch we were not.

One of the best restaurants in the Hessle Greek food here is freshly made the staff and I would like to say thank you Deanna & Tittgy the best customer service I have seen in a very very long time I enjoyed the food and so did my friend And I would just like to say to all of The staff that they went out of their way to make our evening very enjoyable Thank you so much

To start with upon arrival at 5.30, we was greeted with..... you have to go before 7pm, not welcome or hello! Had to send food back and the reply was, well its a hard dish to cook, (calamari). Who's doing the cooking ? 1st and last time we'll go again. 😖

Very cozy restaurant, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Nice spot for a meal with friends and family. The food was simply delicious and bursting with authentic flavors, capturing the essence of Greek cuisine. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Food portions were generous and reasonable priced. Will definitely visit again when in the area. The chocolate cake is a must. Thank you for a great visit.

Tigi (hope the spelling is correct) made it for us. She was an amazing server! We ended up here as there was a problem with their sister venue. The food was amazing and the potions were hugeeeee!!!! The man I believe to be the owner or manager that called me during the day and then spoke to me before we left was very nice! Thanks!

I dined here last evening 11th June 2024 and wow blown away. The staff were all brilliant in particular maybe the manager maybe the owner ? He advised on wine, he advised on dishes and even the pudding. Very good service, nicely busy on a Tuesday night great to see. Would visit again for sure I wish they were more local. Thanks for your hospitality

I visited the Greek in Hessle with a friend of mine and we both loved it. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great too, we had two young girls serving us and they were both so friendly and polite. Everything is carried out to such a great standard, I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends :) thanks for a lovely time guys!

This was a bit hit and miss. I arrived a little early so sat outside while waiting for my dining companion. A young lady came out to check I was OK and I was soon set up with a nice glass of red. Great service. Once my guest arrived we went in and found a table. We selected a few more dishes than we probably needed but isn't that always the way. The dishes arrived as they were ready. In general all of the dishes were good. However I found a small piece of bone in one of the meatballs which immediately stuck between my teeth. Toothpick needed. Plus the calamari could have been hotter and a bit crisper. At the end of the meal my guest ordered a coffee with cream. They didn't have any cream. I suggested they went over the road to the shop and bought some but apparently not allowed to happen. And then what really spoiled it for me. I ordered a Metaxa 7* brandy. A really good brandy. And it came in a whisky glass. We don't have any brandy glasses I was told. I know it's pedantic but sometimes things just have to be right. I've given this place 4 stars. 3.5 stars would be more realistic.

Came here for a birthday party, fantastic atmosphere, staff and the food was brilliant.

Fantastic Greek food in a lovely setting. We shared the mixed grill for two, we were really looking forward to it, and it didn't disappoint. The platter it arrived on just about covered the whole table. The food was fantastic, and somehow to our surprise we managed to eat the lot, and even the waiter was impressed, and we also had room to share a baklava.

Called on Monday 29th January at 5.00pm on our way to Hull New Theatre we ordered the Chicken Gyros with 1 x greek salad a white wine spritzer and soft drink , the food was excellent and service was brilliant so tasty lovely atmosphere total £32 would definitely recommend

The Greek is a really good Greek restaurant. They serve mostly traditional Greek food, including kebabs and Greek cheese salads, etc. I highly recommend the mixed grill platter for two. Such a variety of meats and a lot of it. It's a nice cosy, little restauran, the service was excellent and the staff are friendly. The Greek music got on my nerves after a while, but that is the only complaint. There is an outside seating area at the front.

Felt like a little Greek oasis, went just on the of chance. Waitress was polite helpful and even chased after us to return my wife's scarf. The food was awesome, really enjoyed it and was very tasty. Far surpassed my expectations. What a gem of a restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We shared different mezze dishes, all of which were excellent. Great atmosphere, decor, music etc etc. Very good value too. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our meal here for our granddaughters birthday. I've never had Gyros before but chose the mixed meat one. It was delicious. The sweet I chose was fantastic it was filo pasty with apple and cinnamon, I can't remember the Greek name. It would have fed 2 people though. All staff were courteous and attentive, we definitely will be back.

Can't fault anything about The Greek in Hessle. I had never tried Greek food before, but I can honestly say it is far The best, tastiest food I have ever eaten. The staff were fantastic, I will definitely be eating there again.

Normally we go to The Aegean in Hull which is excellent, but we’d heard great things about The Greek so thought we’d try it out for a change, on looking at the menu I thought it seemed very limited, especially as far as seafood goes but it does state they have a specials board, unfortunately when we arrived at 7.30 on a Friday evening we were told there are no specials, so how can you call yourselves a greek restaurant without any fish on the menu. So after pondering the menu we decided on the mixed grill, which admittedly was nice apart from the lamb chops which were overcooked and very chewy. Needless to say we won’t be going again.

A busy little place, excellent service and the food was nice, great to get a few small plates and share if there is 2 or more people, plenty of parking on the streets not far away.
