I took myself and my heavily pregnant daughter here today as she needs a hot lunch but never has time due to working in a school. We both live opposite ends of this lovely pub so I suggested here today. Barmaid was warm and friendly. I ordered our food and was asked before it came if we had what we needed. Let me say the food was gorgeous. Made fresh when you order. Will be back, in fact next week for a family meal. If you want a quiet local friendly pub that welcomes kids come along. And the food is 'da bomb'

Visited here a couple of times for my Grandmas birthday and each time we have been served quickly and with delicious hot food. Very family friendly and good prices

The food is very good value for money pub grub, served quickly and with a smile. Drinks are well priced and the bar staff are welcoming. The landlord is busy but still has time to say hello and check that everything is ok. We have been here a few times for food and have not been disappointed. Will be back.

Came here today with a disabled gentleman who i support. From the minute we walked in , im guessing the landlord couldn't do enough for us , moving tables, chairs etc , very friendly . We both just had diffrrent hot sandwiches, which where fine , just pub grub really . Reasonable prices and daily specials . Hygiene rating was 5 also.

I've been here a few times. It's a nice enough pub, with a good range of ales. The staff are friendly enough, and the drinks are decently priced. It's always quite busy and popular among the locals. But I had a bit of a frustrating experience the other day. Me and a friend of mine were walking my dog. It began to rain so we decided to grab a drink somewhere whilst it settled down. We were near the grapes, so I whipped out my phone and googled whether dogs were allowed in the pub. Online it says "a child and dog friendly pub..." and that "dogs [are] allowed inside". I thought brilliant, me and my mate can grab a quick pint whilst we wait for the rain to stop. We go in the pub. Nobody says a word or bats an eye lid. We buy our drinks and go to sit down. As soon as we sit down, the landlady comes over, and, very politely, says dogs are not allowed in the pub. I have no problem with this. A lot of pubs don't allow dogs in because they can be noisy, dirty, and some people just don't like dogs. It's totally fair enough. But it was frustrating because it meant we then had to stand outside in the rain and the cold. The information online is clearly out of date and needs changing. I just thought I'd do a review to give other dog walkers a heads up, and make the owners aware that the online information is incorrect. The pub itself though is nice enough though. I'll definitely go again but next time I'll have to leave the dog at home.

Visited on a Saturday evening as a foursome and ate in the conservatory area. Ordered a rump steak with salad, which was very well cooked, to order. Other orders from our table included a mixed grill and fish and chips which were also well cooked. The service was faultless, nothing too much trouble. The food is pub grub, cheap and cheerful, but done well, and with a smile. Will definitely return.

Went in on a Saturday evening for a meal. The food and service was lovely and it's a lovely pub. Unfortunately there were quite a few kids in running in and out of the pub and into the toilets whilst their parents were stood at the bar not taking any notice of them. We left early in the end.

Went for tea as we'd heard so many good reviews. Very let down. Food was mass produced food and the curry tasted like it was out of a jar. Apple pie was the saving grace. Will be a while before we try there again

Went on a Monday night as everything on the menu is only £5.00, food is typically pub chain mass produced so don’t expect a la carte. Drinks are reasonably priced but I do struggle to understand why it’s so difficult to pour a decent pint of Guiness, lack of training I suppose. The staff are friendly but they could do with a decent uniform as jeans and dirty trainers doesn’t look very nice. No body came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Perhaps a bit more interaction with the customer might generate a few more tips.

had lovely meal here recently with my family ....fish and chips and all day breakfast was really enjoyable and a good price too and the staff were lovely......however came back a couple of weeks later with large family group at my recommendation but unfortunately i would say the majority really didnt enjoy their meals. i ordered a chicken sunday dinner which i was really looking forward too - was expecting sliced chicken but it came as a half chicken on the bone which seemed wrong - it was awful, the chicken was so bone dry it was inedible and the rest of the meal was not good either - i left most of it :(

Good pub with authentic Oldham style! Beer garden is a plus, ok food and good beer. Pool and darts. A place that has been a family gathering point

The food here is excellent value. Especially the little bucket snacks of chicken, scampi and chips etc. Portion sizes are good and the food is well cooked. Good choice of beer and wine at a good price. Can be a bit noisy if the bar is just but to be honest it's great to see a local business doing so well. Will definitely be back soon.

Visited the pub / restaurant on a Monday evening for a family meal at 6pm only to be told that they were not taking anymore food orders despite all the signage stating food is served to 8pm. I fully understand that restaurant was busy, but the signage should have been amended to reflect this and the member of staff should have been more polite and fully explained the situation, rather than rudely telling me the kitchen was closed unless a booking had been made

Been here twice now , lovely pub inside and out , great beer garden too, went last week for the offer on a Monday night and it was fantastic, really good wholesome food , anything off the menu for a fiver, you can't beat that !, it was that good we are going again tonite

Well once again we brought our niece whos been doing fabulous work in kenya and she loved it like we do it keeps getting better and better well done wayne and staff keep up the good work steak are amazing

Great turn around from the new owners - it's actually a nice pub to sit in now! Good pub grub and the landlord is always welcoming. We're happy to have this as our local now!

Heard so many mixed reviews about this place, but as I live local I decided to give it a go. Very impressed! When we arrived, we got drinks and were immediately told that as they were so busy there would be an hours wait for food - the place was packed and that was no problem for us.

We came here a few weeks ago and it has become a regular place to go for food, drinks and a good atmosphere. The menu has a good variety and the tapas menu is great. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

First if all i like to say well done to the landlord wayne and is staff to turn this lovely pub around so quickly is brilluant the issue never been about the staff or beers its been the food and now its on course to be one off the best pubs in this area if you got any issues talk to wayne and he will sort it come on people hes change it around so fast so well done quys see you all again

I went for a Sunday lunch and was impressed how smart and clean this place was. Faultless in EVERY way. Great food, great friendly service and a lovely beer garden too.

Firstly when I walked in it did smell like an old people’s home so not the best start. The food was edible but not great, I ordered southern fried chicken which came with onion rings sweet potatoes fries salad and dip. I’m sure not of it was fresh or made on the premises. Tasted like freezer food. I also had dessert of sticky toffee pudding. Again edible but not great.

It’s a Nice pub nice people but the lunch was was worst that I’ve ever had and it was not up to standard at all. I would not recommend Sunday lunch unless improvements are made. The sweet was ok. Other snack foods may be ok. reheating food in a microwave for a party of people there is bound to be a few people getting their food warm let alone hot. The Beef was tasteless and the gravy was like water, the Yorkshire puddings were like a crisp and hard the mash was a table spoon of what tasted like instant potato mix and the Vegetables were ok but not very warm. So the whole meal really was edible but not enjoyable at all.!!
