We went here for lunch two days in a row, firstly as a couple and the food was so good that we went back the next day with our daughter and son-in-law, we were not disappointed, the food was fantastic. I need gluten free food and my daughter needs dairy free food, we both had plenty of choice. Air conditioned on a hot day - lovely. We will be back next time we are in the area.

So we often come to East Harling for a ‘getaway’ close to home in Norwich. This time we decided to take a walk to Grain for a snack and a drink for my wife’s birthday. We ordered the beef taco’s to share and wow! - SO MUCH flavour on one plate! The Sauvignon Blanc NZ we ordered also has a really crisp flavour - none of the sharpness sometimes associated with supermarket wines. Setting is lovely, it’s quiet and the service from Taylor and Harrison was brilliant too! Food is cooked to order but the wait was really short & sensible. We’ve already recommended this place to our family in Kenninghall & Attleborough as they are close by and we will 100*% be back!!! What a find!!

Has the potential but I wouldn't go again. I feel like options for gluten free/dairy free are quite limited outside of the full English breakfast option. I'd also like to see the avocado toast as a vegan option as I asked for no egg but still got charged the same and I love a good avocado toast. I found it a bit uncomfortable that the owner/manager (?) was correcting the waitresses behaviour but it was kind of in earshot of customers- perhaps a quick slip into the kitchen would have been better? I appreciate that you want service to be top notch but I've also worked in the service industry and I'd never be told in front of customers. I think the brunch options look better/better value for money but again, more gluten free options would be lovely.

So glad that the restaurant adjacent to The English Whisky Company premises has reopened. Fabulous food in a comfortable setting. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was first class and cooked to perfection. Well done the whole team.

Having enjoyed wonderful lunches at this couple's previous pub in Haughley, Suffolk, I was keen to take my partner to try their new establishment - and it didn't disappoint! I had a double G & T [9.95] and my partner chose two 175ml Malbec [13.00]. We shared the most delicious crispy squid with a superb dip - more than enough for 2 to share [9.95]. However, it would have been easier to eat with our fingers if the pieces had been cut in two, as it was quite a messy starter without the use of plates to put it on. I cut mine up with my main course knife, which made life a lot easier. I chose the Pasta Funghi [15.95] - again faultless in every way and quite a generous portion too. My partner was raving about his Ham Hock [15.25]. Finished with a Chocolate & Dark Cherry dessert [7.95] - heavenly! 2 Cappuccinos, one decaff, and these were full of flavour and delicious, as often in other establishments, the coffee tastes like hot water! [6.40]. Total bill, including 10% service [86.29]. Would strongly recommend you give The Grain Kitchen a visit as you won't be disappointed in any way. Pity we don't live locally as it would certainly be our 'go to' lunch venue. One slight comment would be to ensure the waiting staff are given training on what's in each item on the menu. Having asked a couple of questions, our server said she would check to find out and returned promptly with the answers!

First visit for all of us, wanted to try it out following recommendations and the menu meets all palates . Booked ahead and arrived early, not a problem. Nice atmosphere, warm, quiet & tables spaced apart. Ordered drinks and table water which came without much delay. We all chose different items from the menu, all delicious and arrived quickly. (Although the sandwiches didn’t appear to be as value for money as other dishes) Good service, gratuity already added. Would any of us return? Everyone said yes, we all enjoyed the visit.

Visited the distillery and because I had missed my lunch, decided to have lunch at the Grain Kitchen. Service was quick and friendly. I had the ham hock hash which was really tasty. Price was a bit on the dear side but wasn’t too bad as it seemed good quality ingredients had been used. Would visit again if in the area.

This place is ideal for a large family get together. The owner and staff were extremely helpful in allowing us (24 adults) to have the adjoining area to the main restaurant. Atmosphere was good and table arrangement perfect. Sunday lunch will be remembered for good food, polite efficient service and a lovely venue.

The Grain Kitchen never disappoints. It doesn't matter what you choose from the menu, it's always excellent. The brisket with truffle mac and cheese is incredibly rich and delicious. And such a huge portion! The ham hock hash is amazing. We've also enjoyed the croque monsieur and the hot-smoked salmon sandwich. And the chips are superb. The home made cakes and sausage rolls are too good to resist as a take away after the meal. It's a very comfortable, clean, and informal atmosphere. Always busy, but not too busy. I'd highly recommend this place to family, friends and colleagues.

Been to the Grain Kitchen for breakfast and, most recently, Sunday lunch. Both meals were great - the Mushroom Wellington for Sunday lunch was lovely - perfectly seasoned with a nice amount of vegetables and roast potatoes. Staff are friendly and the service exceptional. One small thing, please leave salt and pepper on the table :) We live in East Harling village and it's really nice to have this restaurant open again. I hope it's successful.

We used this pub for dinner a couple of times whilst staying at Cley windmill. Bit of a query one evening when I'd phoned to book & the girl behind the bar couldn't find the booking. Her attitude was poor - made it quite clear she thought I was a liar! Not great. Hence 4 stars not 5. Fortunately however, they have the good sense to employ another member of staff who is exceptional. (Tall young man with glasses, moustache & baseball cap). Couldn't fault him or any of the food which was all lovely & reasonably priced for a holiday area.

What a pleasant discovery! Popped in for a cappuccino and scone whilst waiting for car service and found really excellent quality. The scone was spot-on perfect and the cappuccino looked and tasted wonderful. Will be back soon with our pooches.
