Very cool place, great atmosphere and lovely, accommodating staff!

It’s an alright place for lunch. The soup was spicy and rich in flavor. The bacon sandwich, though not too critical, seemed a bit disappointing, and the bread wasn’t properly toasted. However, the staff were really friendly.

I think I have just fallen in love with this place. Absolutely delicious salad and quiche, and the shake was amazing. I would go back for the food alone, but the atmosphere inside is great, the staff are really friendly, and they are great supporters of the local LGBT community.

Popped in for lunch with my friend after a difficult journey. Service not the quickest. Food was worth the wait. Generous, well cooked, tasty food.

Lovely cafe! Close to the train station. Great to pickup a coffee and breakfast before you head to explore the town! Great staff and lovely atmosphere.

My wife and I have come here a handful of times, and I must say every time has been a wonderful experience. The food is brilliant, the place is clean and comfortable with relaxing music. Prices are fair, and the service has always been great. The staff do the little things that make enjoying a meal and a drink that much better.

'The Good Place' is fantastic for a spot of lunch with friends, family, or perhaps simply to recharge by oneself. I had a delicious toastie and a healthy smoothy whilst meeting up with family. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Big shout to the staff who were all lovely! The table reservation was a great touch, thanks Gemma.

Great quirky little eatery located just down the road from the train and bus station. Hot Chocolate was delicious, almond croissant simply amazing, very helpful, attentive and friendly staff, a good positive vibe at this eatery. Well worth a visit.

Feb 2024 The warmest of welcomes.... This evening I was at a private event here. My first time at the cafe and it will now be one of my regular haunts Gemma could not have been more welcoming and made everyone feel at home. The food was fresh and tasty with excellent service. The venue itself is homely and warm, perfect on your own, with friends, or for a group event. Very importantly for me, this is a very welcoming and safe space for anyone from the Igbtgia+ community. It is worth taking a few steps off your usual route to visit.

Our first time was in Hastings and found this awsome place, the food was so delicious, the staff was friendly, place is clean, prices are ok, we loved it.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Location war mal was neues. Wir hatten den Bacon Sandwich und Sausageroll. Es war sehr lecker.

First time visit to The Good Place today and was very impressed. Loved the vide of the place, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food and coffee was amazing. I had a gourmet falafel roll which was super tasty and my wife had a mozzarella toasties which had the meltiest cheese! Would recommend and will defo visit again!

I can’t thank ‘The Good Place’ enough for making my best friends baby shower so perfect. The sweary afternoon tea was so much fun, the food was insane, spot on service and the venue is so gorgeous & stylish ..:literally the best vibes ever… everyone loved it.

The staff is super friendly but they warned me about the wifi. It is bad indeed, I was behind a wall less than 3m away from the modem and it had almost no signal strength. This place needs a wifi repeater. The sandwiches and coffee were good and the place is comfy and cozy.

I had my 40th birthday party this weekend & I got these guys to do the food for me. Not only did it look amazing, every single person said how delicious it was. Delivered & set up on time, with no problems at all. I can’t recommend enough & will definitely be going there to eat more often. Thanks Gemma & team. Brilliant service x

This is my favourite place for lunch out! The food is delicious and fresh, the staff are friendly and efficient and the general ambience is so welcoming, especially with the new indoor seating area. I’m a picky so-and-so and they always cater to exactly what I ask for! The best veggie sausage rolls and almond croissants in the land!

I always pop into the Good Place for my lunch when working nearby, by far the best place in town to eat! Great selection of food (although I always end up going back to the chicken salad box because it’s BANGING), lovely coffee & always service with a smile 😀❤️

We love heading up to the Goodplace for lunchtime meetings, lovely spread of food, great selection of treats and snacks, lovely Coffee and hot drinks and super friendly staff. This place is a great vibe. 👍

Their baked goods look great, but don't take your eye off the coffee guys. Ordered a flat white which tasted like luke warm milk. Arrived in a large mug, which was already a read flag. Took one sip, left it as it was undrinkable. Seemed like they were too busy taking catering orders over the phone rather than concentrating on their in-shop customers. Asked if they used two shots (which is standard in flat white) they said it was made with one shot. Rather than offer to rectify the issue like any decent establishment would, they were happy to charge me.

Really good coffee, nice place. But then waited 25 minutes for egg on toast and mushrooms on toast, asked how it was going and they hadn't started cooking yet . Shame as was really looking forward to it. It wasn't busy we were only people there when we ordered. Going to try again... maybe was an off day

My mum, sister and son stopped here on the way out of Hastings after a 3 day visit to the seaside. We couldn’t believe our luck when we found this little hidden treasure serving lunch (with loads of vegan/veg options) and alcohol at the same time! The setting reminded us of cool, quaint spots that we visit in London, with great music and a fabulous vibe. The staff was so lovely, really polite and kind and as a result the family rated this spot as the best food and environment across our entire trip x if you’re in Hastings….you have to stop in a for a bit you won’t be disappointed x x x

One of the nicest place we have ever visited.Went today for lunch with my husband after reading the reviews and we loved it!From the decor,to the staff and the food. Going through cancer treatment,I have to be very careful with eating out and very happy with this place as everything was fresh !I dont know what type of oranges they squeeze but the fresh orange juice was absolutely gorgeous and we both had the roast chicken roll which was served with very nice crisps. The lovely man brought us icy water as we sat down which was such a lovely little gesture. The staff here are absolutely lovely and the live plants everywhere are so so beautiful!! The cakes looked delicious and hopefully we can go by tomorrow as we will leave Hastings. Ps:to the nasty woman with 1* review about the orange juice,you should be ashamed of yourself.

OMG IF I Can I leave 10* !!! Best hospitality eve experienced in life , the quality of food outstanding, the coffe and nice music in background just crème on top .. I wish I can stay one more week and start a day here ! Thanks you guys it was an amazing experience!

Used the very friendly Gemma at the Good Place for a company lunch. Food was great-tasty and lots of it. Very accommodating with vegan and gluten free options again. Sweet treats were unreal! Well presented on lovely bamboo platters too. Definitely be using them again when we need another lunch or catering. Five star!!

First time here just before I left Hastings for London, and my god what a lovely, friendly place I was welcomed with smiles and pleasantries Ordered the Bacon “Leaves” and Tomato sandwich on seeded roll (See image) - Absolutely delicious. Full of flavour and freshness More impressively was the sustainable packaging of both the sandwich and the coffee A* - Recommended 👍🏼

Currently, if you asked me what I would have to eat if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life I would say a Roast Chicken with Mayo Seeded Bap. Its fantastic and I get upset when I realise I have finished it. The coffee is great and the Almond Croissants are to die for. The staff are great too. Very glad you are so close to my office!

The clue is in the name! - Best French toast I’ve eaten! The staff are great and constantly accommodate my relentless nonsense. All dishes I’ve had have always been spot on but I can’t stop going back for the French toast! As a side bonus their playlist is always popping, I’ve never used Shazam as much as I do when here.

If you haven't had a roast chicken sandwich from the Good Place then you haven't lived. They're a taste sensation. It should be called the GREAT place. Great place, great food and great staff. I go there a couple of times a week. Enough said.

Incredible place with incredible staff! Came down to Hastings with a film crew of 44 people, all of who needed feeding very early in the morning. The Good Place opened early for us, pre-prepared 44 meals all of various states of gluten-free, vegan and combinations of both. All delicious, all amazing, all served with a smile. 10/10 The Good Place kicked off our final days of filming with a bang. They really do live up to their name! ❤️❤️❤️

What can I say ...only my absolute FAVOURITE place to go in the whole of Hastings! This is now my regular place to go for coffee, tea and a cheeky coconut hot chocolate (they are the best, by the way) and not to mention for the best salad you'll ever eat. Everything is made to order and always fresh, and it tastes unbelievably good. The team are also a-m-a-z-i-n-g - so friendly and they know all of their customers by name. This place really is the 'Good Place' and you won't regret making a visit. Thanks guys, Chelsie.

Lovely little place for a coffee, I stop by on my way to the station and am always welcomed with a cheery 'good morning' from the lovely people who work here. The cafe is spotlessly clean and has an extensive menu. Refreshingly different from all of the mundane chain coffee shops and I've only ever seen happy customers here. My go to coffee place in Hastings nowadays, i can't recommend it enough.

What a fantastic deli. Had the most delicious toastie for lunch a took away a yummy bag of cakes for pudding later. All the good was freshly prepared and the service was brilliant. Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely the best deli in town. A must try you won’t be disappointed.

Visited this vibrant little Deli today for the first time and wow what an amazing experience!! Welcomed straight away into a friendly atmosphere with good tunes playing and the smell of fresh coffee! (Yum!) I ordered a bacon roll and a coffee - both of which came in good time and bacon cooked exactly how I like as was asked when I ordered ..so crispy all the way! Coffee was hot, fresh and delicious! :) I will certainly be returning. Massive high 5 to this awesome team of ladies! Thank you!

I order a fresh orange whitout ice believing that I will receive a freshly made orange and they give me one "made this morning " from which they take out the ice with they fingers and insisted that it is " made this morning". IT SHOULDN'T BE CALLED " FRESH ORANGE" BUT INSTEAD "MADE THIS MORNING WITH ICE TAKE I WILL TAKE OUT WITH MY FINGERS"

Sometimes the first place one comes across from the railway station is really the best place in town for coffee, etc. The Good Place is all about goodness. Good coffee, good food (bacon sandwich, anyone?), good people, good cards, good vibes!

We've visited Hastings for the first time, we decided to give this place a try for our first breakfast! So good we ended up going there everyday! They should change the name to Amazing Place! Really good breakfast with fresh ingredients, with that home-made taste, great juices and friendly attentive service. Definitely the best way to start your day!

Yum Yum Yum. Delicious selection of food and drinks at really good prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend. It’s a little “out the way” but worth the effort to get there.
