The Golden Lion in Lewisham

Un amigo de la familia de Australia trabajó 2 turnos con este pub y ha sido jodido por su paga. El dueño lo atacó varias veces. He estado en dos ocasiones y dejé mi número como el personal detrás de la barra dice que no tienen el número de teléfono de los propietarios. Una desgracia total.

Fuimos al León para el almuerzo del domingo, la comida era deliciosa, el joven que atendió nuestra mesa era amable y servicial. Fue un poco tranquilo, pero eso puede haber sido debido a la fuerte lluvia en el día. El pub es de un tamaño decente y tiene pantallas, así que me imagino que estará ocupado mientras el fútbol esté encendido. Nos dimos cuenta de que hay una zona ajardinada en la parte trasera del pub, desafortunadamente no salimos por el clima.

Really gone down hill since the change in mgt. It's my local and I (solo female) often popped up to watch sport, have some food or just a drink. However on my most recent visit to watch football, the place was full of aggressive men. Not a female in sight. My medium glass of wine was a small (I could see it being poured) as there wasnt enough in the bottle, but I was still charged £7 as no house available. After many years I doubt I'll be returning.

Despite displaying a disabled badge on my vehicle, I was unjustly issued a parking ticket amounting to £100. To make matters worse, the situation escalated to the point where they attempted to take me to court, leaving me with no choice but to pay £170. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I strongly urge others to be aware when going to this place. It is disheartening to see such unfair treatment, especially when individuals rely on disabled badges for accessibility. I will never come here again

This is my local pub so come here quiet often, morgan one of the bartenders is always there to brighten up everyone’s day with a smile and a pint

Very welcoming staff and a good range of beers make this cosy pub a winner. Football on screen for those who like it. Lovely spacious garden. What’s not to like?

Stopped here for some food and sat in the beer garden to choose meal . Tables were not clean and no hand sanitizer on table or in way out to garden . The chef was in the garden having a cigarette and stroking a cat ( no gloves on ) then he went into kitchen got some food and fed the cat by the open kitchen door and said to cat “that’s enough Iv fed you enough all day” Got up walked out without anyone asking why I was not ordering.

I have been there previously and had an amazing experience. Last night I ordered a glass of house wine and a pint,and my bill come up to £14! £8.6 for a glass of house wine!I was shocked that prices went up so badly! And wine tasted very watery and never did before! Shame! Good luck for you guys.

I parked in the 'free' customer car park, only to find a week later a £100 fine. I raised this issues with the owners who really didn't want to get involved. I would have thought that more could have been done to explain the process and when paying customers return highlighting the oversight that they look to rectify the problem. I won't be going back!

Brilliant portions, lovely Sunday lunch, nice pub with lots of space. Areas to watch sport but not imposing, kind and friendly staff. Would definately go back. (Also really interesting history) We turned up late without a booking and there was no fuss, we just sat down and ate, exactly what we needed. Thank you!

I hadn't been here for many years, but am always on the lookout for somewhere to go to lunch with my parents that is dog-friendly, has parking (as my Mum can't walk far) and serves good food. The Golden Lion ticks all these boxes. The decor may look a little in need of an update in the pub side (not the coffee shop side), but don't let that put you off. This has quickly become my parents favourite lunchtime spot.

After a horrible flight from the US, we were looking for something easy, light, and delicious. We found it all at the Golden Lion! Pulled in by the great appearance outside, we were in heaven as we walked through the door. The staff is helpful, and super friendly! The food is perfect- we had BLT sandwiches and an incredible smashed egg and avocado on fresh, crusty bread. The hit of the day was the hot chocolate, as our kid declared it “FIVE Stars!”. We are staying locally and will definitely be back!

Went for Sunday lunch with family who were visiting, had a great 3 course Sunday lunch. Attentive friendly staff, great food and would absolutely recommend.
