There's a great breakfast and everyone is very friendly

Beautiful English breakfast for super friendly staff, what more could you ask for - sausage was delicious too! Definitely worth the visit.

I went this morning as I was really feeling a full English and oh wow, the food was really good! I was pleasantly surprised! The egg was tasty and the sausages had so much flavour, not like ones I’ve had before. Warm welcome and very friendly staff. I will definitely be going back there as that was my first time. Can’t get over the food tbh. Yummy!

What can I say a really good breakfast had a full English ,did not disappoint. if you are staying across the road come here

A well-travelled friend told me to look for the places that worker go to eat, for good reasonably priced food. They weren’t wrong. Plenty of hi-vis here. Lots on offer, hot,cold, healthy, take away or eat in. Breakfast menu alone looked amazing but I opted for marinated chicken chips and salad. Really good portions, freshly cooked, delicious.

The best breakfast you can get delivered hands down. Beans and toast come separately and toast nice and crispy. Eggs cooked to perfection and runny yolk. Great quality ingredients. I’ll never order a breakfast elsewhere again. Hats off to the chef for cooking it and the owner for buying proper ingredients and not skimming off on cheap products!

Followed driver on tracker and had several deliveries before me - not good for fried eggs. Driver liveried as Uber Eats and hadn't read delivery instructions. Fried breakfasts don't lend themselves to this sort of delivery. Shame because even a cold breakfast did have some merit. Sorry Golden Cafe but no more deliveriies to me.

After the driver left the cafe they went to the western union by the time the food got here it was so cold! I took a photo of where the driver was when they should of been on the way with our food

Breakfast here was spot on big portions top quality and not expensive. Staff were very friendly highly recommended

Dirty all over - greasy filthy floor which look like they've not seen anything more then a smear for years let alone a detergent and a few buckets of clean water. Wall tiles with food and grime all over them. Looked to see chef sicking his finger in my beans trying to flick off something from my plate before they served it to me - he just smiled! Place needs a deep clean and a hygiene reset.

Best place in Greenwich for local breakfast, take the full English breakfast as well as the Mediterranean one. Do not forget toast.

Good old fashioned "greasy spoon" but without the excess grease. Lovely family run business, great service, great breakfast, proper bloomer toast, decent coffee, good portion size. Just marvellous.

Delicious freshly cooked haddock and chips. Sat in and ate it- great seat by the window. Very friendly service- thank you 😊

Early morning open which is ideal walking distance from travelodge reasonably priced. However from where I was sitting the wall tiles were grubby which was off putting

We had four delicious breakfasts here during our recent vacation in London. We stayed literally across the street at Staycity (great hotel btw) and were looking forward to some big hearty breakfasts to fuel our most intense days of sight seeing 😅 Glad to say that The Golden Cafe totally delivered! The first day, before a full day trip to Kew Gardens and Richmond, we all had the full English breakfast. Everything tasted great, my favourite being the bubble and squeak 😋 The (black) coffee was very good and included in the price. A nice full mug ☕ From the second breakfast, one of us switched to the Mediterranean option which was delicious too and came with an extra egg. The toast was nicely grilled and buttered, and with two big slices per person, will probably be a bit much for most. If you have one big eater like myself with you, that shouldn't be a problem 😆 Do keep in mind the bread is white and served with quite a lot of butter, so perhaps ask for another option if that's not your thing. On weekdays around 8:30 we were served within 20 minutes, on a Saturday it took a little longer since the place was pretty much full. We really hope to come back here on a future trip to London, whenever that may be. Lastly the staff were very friendly, and we would hereby like to thank them for their great breakfasts 👌

I live in Greenwich for around a year - I visit many local places to discover my local area. Went with my gf to have breakfast. My only regret is that I didn't try the Golden Cafe earlier. Very friendly owner/staff, had a pleasant chat, also got the best coffee (offered for free) after our meal. I really enjoyed the buttered bread (it was thick). If you are in Greenwich - do try this place out!

If no stars was an option, that would have been the option. Nothing was golden about this cafe besides the build up of grease. Not friendly staff and took ages to order. I didn't order in the end by looking at the state of the milkshake being made in front of me!!! We walked out with our dignity and self respect! To add to this, we were welcomed by a lingering fly in the atmosphere! Wouldn't recommend!

Traditional no frills cafe, ideal for breakfast, good size portions, soft white bread (my sausage sandwich was delicious), great service and excellent value, only a 1 min walk across the road from Premier Inn Greenwich where we were staying would highly recommend :)

The Hilton wanted £19pp for breakfast plus 12.5% tip. This place was an absolute find. Huge portions, really delicious food and the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are brilliant. Don't pay silly hotel prices use local small businesses 100% recommend

Delicious food , extremely generous portion sizes, reasonable prices and friendly staff. They serve a variety of omelettes , jacket potatoes , all day breakfast platters , sandwiches and burgers . Highly recommended!

Came here twice for breakfast while staying in Greenwich. Food beautifully cooked, all freshly cooked. Full english breakfast, and cheeses and bacon omelette best we have had. All served with a smile , by very friendly people. Thank you.

Brilliant little cafe in the Ashburnham Triangle, Greenwich. Staff are friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The food is great too! Their menu is excellent, and they will whip up something to your own preference if you ask (see attached☺️). They also make a great cuppa!

Amazing portions and very good prices

Excellent.. best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The ingredients are very good quantity and the packaging for my delivery via Uber eats was impressive.. clean well prepared and presented and no problem with Uber eats delivery this time which is rare for Uber. Highly recommend this place and I’m difficult to please when it comes to breakfast.

Really love this place. However the full breakfast have switched out the nice sausage out for a cheaper low end sausage. You can really tastes the flour in the sausage with little meat. Maybe the cafe’s intentions is to keep the price down by doing so. But it is such a shame for a good place to cut down the quality of their food.

Good, simple breakfast place. Friendly, quick service. Many options, so if you're a newcomer plan on spending a little time deciding. Food was delicious. The dining area smells a little bit like smoke.

Omg this place is nice. As a friendly family run cafe the food is amazing am happy to eat there my kids are always satisfied when I take them there. Prices are reasonable too would highly recommend

My favourite breakfast cafe in London. I meet friends almost every Saturday morning for a tea with hot milk (which the staff are very happy to provide). Great location. Good hearty food at a reasonable price. My more posh friends marvel at the 70p price tag on the mug of tea! Keep in mind, I'm looking for a local friendly dive, not Costa Coffee.
