Great to have some vegan choices. Loved the sandwiches with thick-cut wholewheat bread. Generous cakes, difficult to make a choice, and excellent leaf teas. Friendly staff, calm atmosphere, clearly popular with the locals. Excellent value: we’ll certainly be back soon!

I’m a regular at the Globe, working in the offices across the road. I regularly pop in on my lunch break and am never disappointed. The staff in the Globe take time to get to know you, in fact when I go in now they automatically know that I’ll be ordering my panini and exactly how I like it (not too toasted!) and they get it spot on every time. There’s also the best array of cakes/treats that are the perfect perk on a rubbish day! Friendly, warm and welcoming with amazing food drink and staff, what’s not to love?!

Ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered to my parents and they were thrilled. There was plenty of selection and everything was fresh and homemade. Was great value and I would certainly recommend it for anyone who fancies a treat or needs a present delivering for someone.

After a bracing walk along the seafront we called into the Globe cafe for refreshments as we knew they were doing takeaways. Excellent covid secure measures were in place so felt totally safe entering. Had a bacon and egg sandwich on wholemeal bread. We especially liked the takeaway packaging as not just in a bag which can cause things to go soggy but in a nice box with napkins. The bread is some of the freshest and softest we have had, the bacon was plentiful, nice and salty and lean, perfectly cooked eggs, certainly not stingy on fillings. Enjoyed every bite. Perfect coffee as always.

Thanks a million to The Globe - we had our second coffee and food order to go today and it was delicious! This is such a fabulous place - the drinks and food are of the best quality and the service is so warm and friendly. Treated myself from the new range of giftware, too. Very happy. Will be back very soon xxx

Great coffee. Great reading. Great music (Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson and Ewan MacColl in the time it takes to drink a cappuccino). Great host. Go.

Dog friendly cafe with lovely coffee and CAKE. The music adds to the good atmosphere [last time it was Bob Dylan, today it is Mumford and Sons]. Browsing the book collection or trying to persuade your family to play a game of dominoes it just gets better. Welcome start to the new year.

I saw another review describing this place as “dingy and depressing” and to some this may be the case. However, it is a fantastic vibrant small place with a buzz when busy and a community feels even when it appears to be strangers. There is a selection of books, dressing up box, free WiFi, charging points (USB and plug) plus it is very dog-friendly inside. When i sampled the soup there was a choice of 3 different soups not bad for a small place and a limited menu.

My partner and I were in Cleethorpes because we're romantics at heart. We wandered away from the seafront and spotted a coffee/book shop which is always appealing to us.It's small but inviting and the menu looked good, as did the food that came out of the kitchen. We had an oat milk Latte and a mint tea which were both delicious. The amount of tea in the pot would have done both of us! Very generous. The staff were great too. Would definitely go back.Lota of military books (as well as hats in the dressing up box... Yeah, this joint has a dressing up box!)Give it a go.

Great place to go and get a drink or a sandwich. Love the little extras like board games, books and a dress up box. Feels really unique and personal and feels very relaxing to be in there. If you are into old cameras they have some on display to look at. Nice cakes but a bit more variety in cake would be nice but that’s just my taste. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to relax.

The idea behind this place was great but somehow it didn't quite come off. The staff were keen enough, and the food and coffee both very good, but the whole ambiance didn't work for me.

We called in her for proper tea and coffee and found it very pleasant. Great atmosphere and set out nice. Had tea, coffee and cake. All references to The Potter films and the toilet is also set up like the room under the stairs. (Look out for the spiders).

Stumbled across this coffee house the other day and delighted to find it. A cosy little place with a Victorian Industrial theme running through it and walls lined with books - some of which I think you could read or maybe buy? (Check with the owners - I couldn't because they were so busy!) And there's a little snug outback with big comfy chairs for further escape. The coffee is good and there are plenty of delicious cakes to enjoy as well. All in all, it's a lovely place to come and enjoy a little R & R. Thank you and good luck to the owners!

I came home this weekend and tried the re- opened chippy. The medium fish and chips were absolutely delicious. Lovely staff and a friendly atmosphere. Easily the best fish and chips I've had for a very long time. Get behind it!

Popular cafe close to train station, regular flow of customers eating in, take away and delivery. I was staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Express and was stuck for a snack so read reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Simple menu for food and a great selection of bottled beer from around Europe. The ploughman’s sandwich with salad and crisps was delicious, all fresh and served quickly, washed down with a bottle of Duvel. The only downside I could see was deciding on which drinks to choose.
