Really friendly local. There is a food menu but sadly doesn't yet cater for gluten intolerant vegetarians so I can't mark them for that. Dog friendly, Rupert the manager always has a treat ready when he's working. Friendly, helpful bar staff. This pub has a great vibe and has various events. Quiz nights, Sunday meat raffle, DJ's etc.

BEST PUB QUIZ NIGHT IN DUNSTABLE The last Sunday in the month, the Glider hosts the best pub quiz night I've ever been to. It's not just some general knowledge questions and a picture puzzle. The landlord and his wife, have pulled-out all the stops, and included elements from various British game shows as well as something I'd never seen before called Stand-up Bingo. The Glider serves a much better range of beers than I've seen in most pubs. They had 4 or 5 ales on last night, including Wainwright's and a lovely creamy Pale Ale, which I drank all evening. The Quiz starts at 8:30pm and finishes by 10:30pm, so even if you're working the on Monday, you can get home well before 11pm. But it really is two hours of fun, even without the landlord's unintentional intermittent microphone hindering nearly every question! As well as 4 rounds of questions and a picture puzzle, Stand-up Bingo, and a raffle; there's Bruce Forsyth's Play Your Cards Right and Open The Box. Each element costs Β£1 per person, Β£6 in total, with Β£1 from each participant going towards their charity to sponsor Guide Dogs for the Blind. Last Night's Stand-up Bingo winner won Β£25. None of the three contestants won Play Your Cards Right, so the jackpot of Β£45 rolls over to the next last Sunday in the month. At Β£1 a go, it's going to be at least Β£80 next time. There's Β£60 rolling over in the Box too. The landlord said, once these rollovers get to Β£100+, he'll keep drawing tickets for contestants, until someone wins them. They don't do this quiz each week because there's so much packed into them. Besides the pub is busy most weekday evenings with two Pool and two Darts teams playing fixtures and parties often booked for Fridays and Saturdays. So, if you like a good pub quiz, don't miss the best in Dunstable on the last Sunday of the month at the Glider, showing exactly what a great community pub should be.

From what I remember it was a good experience here, was quiet on the night, but was dog friendly. The Barman was great and helped with the dogs when they got thirsty or a little hungry.

We visited with our dogs and we felt so welcome. Other customers came over and made a fuss of the dogs and the manager bought some treats over for them, we really enjoyed our visit. This particularly sermed to be a pub for sports fans with some large tv's showing the football but this was not too much for people who don't like sport as there are lovely comfortable sofas and armchairs at the other end of the pub. We are local and will definitely be returning soon.

a couple of weeks ago, we went hiking in windy and rainy weather. We were all drenched and went to this pub for a rest. The host is so nice and warm, even having us nice warm tea without charge. It was so touching. I definitely recommend this pub and hope I can re-visit this soon.

Dropped in as we were passing by. It was my old stomping ground in the 80s/90s and was great reliving some good times. Landlord was a great guy and very welcoming. Definitely going back and taking my sons to show where their dad grew up and buy me a few drinks now they're old enough

Old estate pub haunt of mine from 35+years ago, still showing signs of life , under new management ( think locals running it). Couple of real ales at a reasonable price & some old faces still frequenting it. Live football , pool table & darts with the odd live band & quiz. Dec 2k18 ...popped in 4a Xmas drink..they had st. Austells tribute, black sheeps blitzen & hardy & Hanson's Rocking Rudolph, all of which were good! (3-50 a pint)...also plenty of people eating Xmas/roast at Β£7-50 a pop....the food looked good & smelled good. A very nice Sunday afternoon ambience 4 an estate pub , well worth a visit..+ Xmas Eve entertainment & a quality covers band 4 Β£5 a ticket 31st December...well done the glider!! Since lockdown 2020 Rupert has made this pub a very popular estate pub ...3 real ales sharps doom , Atlantic pale & Marston's pedigree ...great condition....looking forward to a roastπ€...... Now had the roast & it was excellent!! Beef, chicken or salmon with occasionally lamb.....you ring up , book a time slot & your dinner is cooked to order....pukka π

I'm not a regular pub goer but this is my local pub, and over the past couple of years under new ownership it has taken on a lovely vibe, they do many themes across the week, Karaoke, Quizes, they have bands, charity events, Sunday Dinners, They have worked hard to turn this pub into a friendly welcoming place and IF I go anywhere now it's here.

A boozer that has had many managers. It is a relative new build, which is always a disadvantage as they lack character. But the beer is kept well and there is a range of snacks. There is a pool table and TVs. It seems that some attention is being made to incrementally improve the chairs and carpets.
