First time there. It is cozy, food was lovely. Had the fish 😋. Nice staff. Great wine selection. Nice gift shop.

Absolutely amazing meal here Saturday. We were a table of 9 and were seated altogether, food was fast and impeccable quality. Service was so friendly, drinks were also fast. We all had 2/3 courses each and it was perfect, thoroughly enjoyed and we would all recommend visiting

We had a fantastic lunch here yesterday. It was busier and noisier than when we've been before, but it wasn't too long a wait for food. I had garlic mushroom crepes with a lovely varied salad and bread, and my Son had the chicken curry. Absolutely delicious and full of flavour. My only concern was how much less stock there appeared to be in your shop compared to previously. I hope you're not going to stop selling the striped rainbow crockery? I've been collecting that for decades 🙏💜💚❤

While visiting an old friend, I was told I was going to be taken for a meal put in a special place. That is what I would call The Gearges, special. Food, service and ambiance of the place along side the booths down stairs was brilliant. My next visiting friends will involve another meal at The Gearges.

Quite a few things on the menu were not available and the waitress didn't let us know until after we had ordered and paid. Poor girl had to keep coming back to us. In fairness it was her first day, and she was lovely and apologetic. The seating was very close to other patrons. It's a quirky place, definitely unique. Food sounded better than it tasted, felt like not a lot of care had gone into it's preparation. Maybe busier than they can handle?

Always fab ! I think I've eaten most of the meals on the menu. Good quality ingredients, yummy meals. Staff are always friendly, and there's always a warm welcome . Love just to pop in for a coffee if we're not eating. Interesting shopping available. Highly recommend

Had an amazing evening meal at the George on Saturday for my sisters 50th , The staff from the start were welcoming and attentive, once seated we were left for a short time our selection, I myself ordered the salmon mouse and followed that with the surf and turf which I have to say was amazing the fillet steak was cooked perfectly and te garlic butter was very tasty(they didn't scrimp on the garlic) I didn't have dessert but from those that did they looked amazing . Thank you to the staff and kitchen team for making our visit outstanding and we will be back next time we're visiting family

Extremely cold this week kept my coat & scarf on all through my meal. This was upstairs there were no seats downstairs. So this spoilt the meal as I couldn't feel my toes. Waitress did her best & placed a small heater by me but it didn't do much as soo cold. Would go again but would only book for downstairs.

Popped in for a quick snack, had garlic mushrooms and a coffee, really nice, friendly and easygoing atmosphere in the George's. Will be back soon

Honestly so disappointing. I used to love coming here but my recent experience was so bad I’d give it 0 stars if possible. For context, I popped in for lunch on my own as I was celebrating my birthday. I turned up at just before 3 (having called before hand to check what time they were serving lunch until which was 4) as I arrived I could see that the restaurant was pretty full so I waited and was finally seen to. I explained to the person serving that I was wanting some lunch. The server then checked the time with a grimace, even though I had clarified on the phone that lunch was until 4. I explained that I was dining alone but was offered a seat right in the window at the front of the store (not very accommodating for someone eating alone) I said I was more than happy to wait for a table. I am a manager at a big local pub so I understand and was more than considerate. The server then said I could sit upstairs however it was currently empty and I could just pop down to order. He explained to me that the tables in the window were booked out for a function later but I would be okay to sit elsewhere. I got upstairs and was looking at the menu when an unpleasant member of staff came over to me and told me that the area was closed. I explained that the server said I was okay to sit there. She insisted that I go back downstairs because they needed to Hoover the floor. It was a very patronising exchange with a lot of “bless you” and “oh really”. Very poor level of customer service, really really not good. Needless to say, I told them I wouldn’t be eating there. Which they seemed to be relieved about. Such a shame because I never write bad reviews as I know how difficult the industry is but I have never felt so horrible leaving a restaurant. Lack of care towards guests is obvious and the staff are just unfriendly. Like I said, disappointing really because myself, my friends and my family used to come frequently but we all won’t be returning. Hope you can learn to deliver a better guest experience. I suggest some steps of service training and some smiles!! To anyone looking to dine alone please save yourself the embarrassment unless you want to feel patronised. Any further details needed just let me know, especially for the staff training.

The service here is second to none. I was greeted by a lovely lady, beaming smile and very attentive. Felt like the only person there. Food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Such a well run restraunt, with great service and tasty food. As you walk through the door, guarded by two interesting dog/demons, you step into a tardis like space, with lots of interesting nooks and crannies, surrounding you with some, sometimes, interesting gifts to buy. Warm, friendly staff and tasty treats in good portions. Strange opening times, so it's usually best to book but it's worth it.

A long time favourite. On this occasion steak with a great diane sauce did not disappoint. Mint, meat and pasta dish good as ever.

Just wonderful. Great food, fantastic ambience and service. Always something different and delicious on the specials board. Been customers here for 15 years and the standards have never wavered. 100% recommend.

Christmas party outing, pre-ordered food was fantastic, just a long wait between courses, it was a Saturday night though so to be expected I suppose. All staff were friendly and polite. A small wrapped gift for each of us on the table was a lovely touch. Will go back again 🙂

This is my favourite place to eat in Pembrokeshire, that hasn’t changed since I first ate there. From the first feeling atmosphere as you walk through the door, too the friendly and welcoming staff, which has never changed or faulted. Then the food is top quality on top of the rest! consistently a high standard. For all this it makes it my go too place for any special meals with my loved ones. I was very satisfied with this Restaurant. I ordered Charcoal chicken salad with cayun sauce and it was wonderful, interesting combination of ingredients (little bit of pomegranate + water melon) made it fresh and pleasantly tasteful. Staff were as good as their food. This restaurant really deserves to be recommended.

Lovely craft place and excellent food

I went here for lunch today and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the steak Diane rare and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat, the portion size and just how perfectly it was cooked. The atmosphere inside is really lovely and relaxed, and the staff members were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I was asked if everything was okay with my meal a few times and I really enjoyed the experience. It's definitely a place that I will take my friends and family.

Awesome pub with delicious food and friendly staff. Perfect lunch opportunity here and they rotate the lunch menu. Cheap as well. All on the menu is good. I can't find anything to complain except for the ebay atmosphere since everything is for sale in there... Well not tragic but bizarre.

First discovered The George's, tucked away at the top of the town, several years ago. It became our go to place for a special meal whenever we were in Pembrokeshire. Then it stopped opening in the evening, but delighted to find that they have now started to open on one evening. You would be well advised to book! Great food and great service. Interesting shop at the back, selling crafts and new-age products. Always worth a browse, although I rarely buy anything!

Great food,great atmosphere and great service from the staff.

A combination of gift shop and cafe, with a cosy and interesting ambience. Booking is advised, although not always necessary. The food is very good, if perhaps a little pricey. The hot chocolate with all the trimmings is a must on a chilly day. This is a good place to meet up with friends, with space upstairs and a large group table if you want to book a special meal. Closest parking is a pay and display at St Thomas Green, or you may be lucky to find limited on-street parking nearby.

Eaten at The George's a few times now, it's one of my favourite places when I stay in Haverfordwest. Polite staff, excellent service & top notch food! Don't forget to peruse their lovely shop which sells a plethora of wonderful goods & gifts 😊 x

Always a delight to visit here. Relaxed atmosphere, interesting and varied menu, friendly staff. Worth making a reservation during busy times. Unique crafts section too for gifts with a difference.

Can't believe I have not reviewed this yet, so here goes... The Georges is an amazing restaurant in Haverfordwest that serves the best food you will find in a very wide area. Large selection on the menu, which changes from time to time, as well as specials on the board behind the bar, which are always good. The desserts are yummy, with lots of variety to indulge yourself in and the drinks are great, with a good selection of beers, ales and wines. The interior is very interestingly decorated, with lots of pieces of artwork and decorations that you can purchase or just admire while you are there. Also, a shop at back selling a wide range of natural cosmetics, bags, boots, jackets, candles, books, cards, pet accessories, gardening items... and lots more. If visiting, you have to check the shop out! They also do frozen take out food and cater for larger parties here. Have spent many a lunchtime enjoying a relaxed meal with friends and family here and always take the opportunity to treat ourselves when we can. Very well recommended and goes without saying that we will be going back ASAP. Thanks to all the team at the Georges!

My favourite haunt in Haverfordwest, the food is great, the owners are lovely and the atmosphere is just magical. I recommend popping in for the giant crumpets with cheese, they got me through many stressful college lectures.

Always enjoy a meal at the Georges, it's a terrible shame that they are not open every evening like they used to be.
