The George in Braintree

Ich trinke hier viel.Sehr gutes Bier und die Leute sind sehr freundluch. Sie haben viele Fernsehen fur Sport auch.

Do not go here. The staff are incredibly rude threw me and my friends out 2 minutes after arrival when one staff member (who clearly has a vendetta out against me) made up an absolutely vile lie claiming I was doing ungodly things in the toilet when in fact I was taking a while longer because I have severe stomach issues and can struggle with relieving myself, what makes matters worse is how I was given no opportunity to speak in private and confess my embarrassing toilet issues. The matter was not dealt with appropriately in my eyes I felt belittled by the staff and can not believe how I was treated upon my visit. In the current COVID situation I’m all for supporting local businesses but after how I’ve been treated I don’t suggest anyone takes step in this vile place, spend time with friends in a more inviting environment. Shame on the staff here.

My family had evening drinks in here. Staff were polite and gave us good service and cost o a drink is very reasonable

wonderful management ... DAMN damn good staff that are down to earth and chatty ... not stuck up like so many places through out the UK ...i have tried a few locals .... this is my Favourite pub after being in the area for a couple of months now The Food is stunning ... well done u ... I do believe they own another pub in Gt Waltham north of cChelmsford eEssex but i haven't tried there yet ...

Stopped by for a night cap here . It's fine for one drink but I wouldn't stay for any longer than that

Esto no es un lugar para comer, ofrece comida típica de pub, pero es un buen lugar para ir a ver deporte. Una pantalla enorme en la parte trasera del pub con dos mesas de billar y varias TV's en el pub. Había una oferta en dos pintas de Guinness por £6, mientras que el rugby era en pero creo que la chica que servía había olvidado sobre la oferta, pero hey! La botella de vino de la casa también estaba en oferta, pero me cobraron el total de £9. 50. Mi consejo sería que beber lo que conoces. Mi esposa discretamente a la izquierda la casi una botella de vino en el Ladies wc, quizás el vino tiene potencial otros uso! !

in my opinion is the worst place in witham. the smell from the toilets is really bad. are places better than that

At night full of teenagers and twenty year olds and terrible terrible music very load and horrible tasting shots a pub to get utterly wasted in. Awful

Comencé a usar este pub hace treinta años cuando estaba muy bueno y un buen lugar para beber y comer. Por desgracia de alrededor de los años noventa, comenzaron a ir cuesta abajo y más lentamente de los últimos dos años se convirtió en un chiste en Witham. Fui allí hace un año y después de esperar mientras que dos mujeres detrás del bar terminado su conversación me preguntaron si quería que sirve, no podría ayudar a reír y decir que no, que en realidad sólo entró a mirando fijamente a la pared detrás de la barra. ¡Vaya que me dan un aspecto extraño.Bueno, este año vi, siendo remodelado. Hace un mes o así que fui a última hora de la tarde; el lugar había sido renovado, pero había un infierno de un escándalo procedente de la parte trasera donde creo que algunas personas estaban jugando al billar. La persona con la que presume era la guv, venía detrás del bar después de que me habían servido pero nunca nos hizo un intento de reconocer conmigo. Fui de nuevo recientemente, se servía agradablemente lo suficiente por un joven muchacho, pero varía según el gobernador que no ofrecen un hola, él simplemente reprendió el chico joven para no ******* liquidación algunos vasos vacíos en el bar y luego nos llevó a estudiar con una ciudad borrachos.La estación de ferrocarril, formalmente el Albert, fue tomada con el año pasado. La primera vez que fui allí, La guv me saludó pedimos un poco de mi y me hizo sentir como queríamos. Me han aclarado las escorias de allí y un año más tarde, creo que es el mejor pub de Witham. Puede ser hecho, pero te lleva esfuerzo y carisma.

just a few words to inform all, the George at witham has been closed now for approx. the last two to three weeks. looks like another local gone under cannot rate just informing closed down. my last visit about 18 months ago

Solía ser un excelente lugar para comer, especialmente el domingo a mediodía. Desde cambio de administración el pub ha ido cuesta abajo. Probamos el almuerzo del domingo con un amigo en 14. 2013 abril. No había opción - sólo ofrecía Turquía que venía con coliflor queso blanco, repollo, zanahoria y puré colinabo, 4 muy pequeña asado patatas y salsa; todas las cuales llegamos a media hora después de haberlo pedido y lo servían bastante unattractively en un plato. La carne estaba fría, el queso de la coliflor probado repugnante, similar y sueco no tengo muy claro qué era el puré, ciertamente no parecía o degustar de zanahoria. De todos modos, nos envió la comida de vuelta y nos dieron un reembolso. No vamos a volver. Como ya he dicho, lo que ha sucedido a lo que una vez fue un muy buen pub?

Recientemente visité el George por primera vez en torno a 4 meses y me decepcionó mucho. El ambiente ha cambiado completamente, así como el pub y personal que desaliñado. Se han producido numerosos cambios que no se benefician del pub. Mi pinta probado de vinagre y era plana aunque la camarera cambiaba la pinta para mí aún era imbebible. Es muy triste ver como un pub George ir así que cuesta abajo.

Menu is not entensive (which personally I prefer), but all food is freshly prepared. Great value for money.

We were on a girls weekend in Febuary and wanted to see what was about so we went over to the george and we waited 10 minutes for a drink, when we did eventually get a drink it was in a warm glass, no ice and one even had lipstick on the glass, when we asked the glass to be changed the lady got very uptight and rude, we will be returning to witham in the summer and will not be visiting 'the george' again!!

Absolutely brilliant. In honesty, the food is simple but fantastic value for money. Service great and you get the feeling that they value your custom and want to get it right. Brilliant.
