Tuesday Night is Pizza Night!! And what a pizza!!! Great choice of toppings, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Eat in or out, our place or yours. The quality and value far exceeds anywhere else locally. Dominoes?? They play that another night of the week!!

Have recently been to the Gate with the family and to the 'Little person's Xmas party' that Michelle the landlord had arranged for kids. It was brilliant.The kids loved it, Michelle and the staff went way and beyond to organize and at just £3pp . They arranged food,crafts,presents, games.Bargain Great local pub run by a landlady who is doing everything she can to make make people welcome..keep up the good work..

My family held my Aunt's wake here at the gate . The staff were all so lovely and Michelle's buffet was excellent Thank you to all the team

Me and my wife held our daughters Christening party at the Gate last Sunday Michelle and her team were very welcoming to us and our friends and family. Michelle put on an excellent buffet.

A fantastic village pub with such a warm, friendly welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. A great variety of drinks, including cask ales. Varied nights of entertainment, which makes it well worth visiting.

Recently this is the best pub in swanwick, plenty of drinks to choose from and at an affordable price. There are food options on certain nights and entertainment at the weekend. There is a pool table and darts board. And plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The parking has been massively reduced which is a big downfall as the parking now holds about 6-7 cars.

Great friendly staff and live music

Very loud music on a Friday night and over the weekends that you can hear down on Charnwood Road in Swanwick, some people have infants and are trying to get couple hours of sleep at least!!! I can't even imagine how loud it is for people who live opposite!! No respect for others!

Superb staff and great atmosphere!

The perfect pub. Over the lockdown period it seems a lot renovating work has taken place to the interior and exterior of the property. It's fresh, clean, with a modern touch, and above all very welcoming. The member of staff serving bar was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable The only shame is that we didn't have time to try the food. 10/10 we will definitely be returning.

Came for a meal here with my boyfriend and his Family.the staff were insanely kind and polite. The staff made me feel extremely at home and the food. Well i cant say i didn't clean the plate.

Popped in on the off chance they would be open, Yes! And well worth it. Hand pulled Ales Lagers everything you'd expect from a great Pub. Live Music and food at the weekends makes for a good night out

No one in on a Friday night just landlord landlady singing not good.... beer was terrible Doombar SHOULD NOT TASTE LIKE VINEGAR only redeeming feature was a good pool table not been in for 15 years will be another 15 before I go back. Under new management now so I'm guessing it's 100 times better

How can people be negative about this place. If you want the best home cooked roast dinner you could ever eat please try it. Value excellent had lamb brisket it's so tender you need a spoon because it is so tender it just melts away. And even the small dinner you will struggle to eat the portions are so generous. Glad I have found this place . And the hosts are brilliant. Just don't leave. Steve ironville.

Nice location for a beer with friends, while keeping one eye on the Sport via their big screens.

A nice friendly atmosphere with seating arrangement indoors or out. But the place will become pact and noisy when they have a live band playing.
