Salió de la lluvia con dos amigos. Estaba en Bow. No noté mucho el exterior, pero me sorprendió encontrar lo que parecía un pub eduardiano dentro. Recibido por dos tipos tomando una cerveza. Tomé un par de pintas y tuve que irme. Qué pena. Ambiente muy amable, personal y clientela. Buena elección de bebidas. Buena música para no cargar para que todavía pudiera hablar con uno y otro. Lo busqué más tarde y desearíamos habernos quedado a comer. Me gusta el aspecto del menú. Volveré la próxima vez que esté en el área. Ojalá tuviera un local como este. Todo lo mejor.

Wowzer. I used to work in hospitality and I know how tough a gig it can be. But the staff had some kind of attitude. We were intending to stay for a Sunday lunch but left pretty quick after we were told off for asking if the kitchen was open (as it stated on the sigh outside). Went home instead. Ta da! X

What a shame! I was so keen to get a Sunday roast at my local! Wow bar lady rude! Very aggressive and so unwelcoming - she comes across like she hates you and instantly ruins you're weekend. the place was empty but not a sniff of customer service - had to leave asap, shame really hungry

The food is 5/5. So bloody tasty and incredible value. We had a selection of food and everything tastes homemade. Could not recommend a place even more! Don’t be put of by the location (beside a main road!). You will walk away full satisfied! Do yourself a favour and go!!

The food is unreal. Staff unreal. Patties unreal. Get down here now. They sell FOOD and they know about freeing up 3 chase chase chase

Great local pub serving food. Simple menu of only 4 main courses but everything was delicious. Friendly staff and plenty of tables. We had sausage and mash & beyond burger ( veggie) .

Nice pub, a bit off the beaten track. Fish and chips was tasty and everyone enjoyed the not-too-difficult answers in the quiz. Worth a visit.

Popped in from the station, new to the area. The ales were good, staff very friendly and the sausage rolls were delicious. There was a DJ on in the evening. Will defiantly be back.

We had heard about this pub from two co-workers who mentioned the tasty menu and cosy vibe. Me and my partner decided to take a visit and was pleasantly surprised! Delicious food and nice bar vibes. I spoke with the manager at the bar who gave us great menu choices, a very chatty man and suggested our work Xmas party drinks in their back room! The only downside was the garden area, it wasn’t open due to maintenance. Defiantly worth a trip if passing!

Went out with work colleagues for one of our colleagues leaving drinks and all was going well - the pub wasn't too busy and we ordered our drinks and some sharing food. However, I did notice one staff member who had an attitude. When we went to order another round he kept assuming we'd finished our order or would walk off half way through us specifying it. He seemed annoyed and didn't seem like he wanted to serve us at all. At this point we'd only been there 30 mins or so. However, this wasn't an issue going forward as we were then mostly served by the other staff member who was a complete delight. Unfortunately, later on the same narky staff member accused some of our party of taking narcotics and threw us out. His reason for thinking this? Two of my colleagues had gone into the toilets together. When the colleagues he was accusing of tried to apologise for any misunderstanding, he carried on being rude and ordered them to leave. This from someone who was wrongfully accusing / jumping to conclusions. At this point we thought it wasn't worth it, the pub wasn't even busy, we were just a group of people enjoying our drinks, no one was being indecent, rude or rowdy but it seemed he wanted any excuse for us to be out. So we left. Real shame because a) the other staff member was lovely, b) a place like this could do with local customers frequenting it regularly. But we won't be going there again! Good luck to them.

On entering the public house we weren't expecting much, how wrong can you be. The food was delicious, staff very friendly, great service and clean. We had the most delicious starters I've had in a while, we chose 3 different starters and shared them. The Nutbourne Tomatoes, whipped goats cheese and basil was so good I would have had it for main as well, not that my main was bad, infact it was a great roast. We are looking forward to going back to try the weekday menu.

This has got to be the best place for Sunday roast...specially chicken and veggie roast delicious meal...presentation wise lovely and colourful...we will come back again for sure and I am highly recommending this place...

Superb all round. Great food, served quickly and reasonably priced. Very friendly attentive service. Especially liked the buttermilk chicken burger, the halloumi fries and the New Zealand Sav Blanc. Marvellous, will be back soon.

Welcoming pub but disappointing food. The fish and chips was ok. It tasted nice but was a bit small. Mushy peas were served in a tiny condiment dish alongside the condiments (the little dishes weren't even very big for condiments- would prefer a bottle of sauce on the table- the little dish ram out v quickly and I didn't like to ask for more). If the mushy peas and condiments were improved I'd give a 4 star.

Stumbled on this pub before a trip to the nearby filming studios. Nice staff, good food. Well worth a visit.
