The Gallows in Rotherham

This is the third time we have eaten at The Gallows. I have to say the food and the staff have been consistently excellent…! If you like what I call “real chips’ then you won’t be disappointed as they are the best I’ve tasted. I’ve had the steak sharer, the Katsu burger, and today the “Executioner” burger. All scored a 10/10 in my opinion. If you like good quality fresh cooked food and service with a smile then give this little gem a try you won’t be disappointed..!

We had the steak sharing platter. The meat was cooked to perfection. Tender and very tasty. With added homemade coleslaw, corn on the cob, chips and the most fabulous onion rings. All this with 3 sauces, garlic, peppercorn and spicy rib. Our children had katsu burgers and did not leave anything on their plates. Amazing food, great prices and super service. Cooks today were Hannah and George. Ellis and Lexi out front. Really worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutly Amazing food, a definite must try. Staff very helpful and polite. It's table service for food only and the bar for drinks.

Love this place, so friendly, Tanya and her team greet you with a smile and the locals are always up for some fun banter. Family atmosphere too.

Despite the “lockdown”, we were offered a fantastic welcome. We were only in the area for two days and were looking for a pub for a couple of beers after visiting family. Communications were fantastic with the landlady replying within minutes. Unfortunately there was no food on offer, due to the lockdown, the beer offering was excellent. The landlord and landlady were welcoming and very friendly. Tap room excellent. Overall we would definitely visit again and hopefully in better time’s when food is available.
