The Galley in East Devon

The staff are very ignorant I am a disabled and had sat down with my baby granddaughter at an unnamed bench there is NO name or sign on the bench advising that the bench belongs to this shop I wanted to order food but the pushchair wouldn’t fit through the door I waited for my daughter to arrive (who had been to a nearby chip shop) and asked her to go order my food but before she had chance was told very rudely you can’t sit there with that chip box. Where would she like us to put the chip box whilst we order food?? As I was getting up of the bench to leave as there was no way I was going to order any food now the female staff member said we couldn’t order food and have to leave 🤬 🤬 I’m disabled and had a baby with me a pushachair and a 2 year old! There were NO signs saying disabled and children NOT WELCOME I’m absolutely disgusted and advising anyone disabled or anyone with children should AVOID this place DISCRIMINATION is DISCRIMINATION and I will be contacting EAST DEVON COUNCIL with a complaint that they allow these premises trade!!

Great crab sandwich and gulten free scones! Amazing quality

Good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Waiter service with drinks in proper cups. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful views, lovely area and polite waitresses staff. However, unfortunately it seems the vegetarian food is cooked on the same grill as the non vegetarian meat - meaning my vegetarian meal came coated in bacon grease, with small pieces of bacon under my bread and inside my potato's. Not very happy at all and ended up leaving quite soon afterwards, after leaving my meal with a complaint to the waitress team. Half an hour later I was also quite unwell due to eating non vegetarian food.

It's closed! 12.30 on a Tuesday. Obviously, the hours are wrong.

Just had breakfast here it was delicious we walked around the whole of Seaton looking at cafes and this was by far the best value Highly recommend

I I bought a cappuccino and brownie to takeaway. Only wish I'd popped by sooner on a Sunday. Will be back to dine in

The guy who runs this place offer his greasy food with a dash of racism. Go next door to Beanos where they're happy to have custom and have lovely food

Breakfast with a view! What an absolutely stunning place! We got here early, about 9am, and opted in for some sandwiches. I had a tuna one and it was absolutely delicious, lovely moist tuna on a very fluffy yummy bread. We were meant to come back here for dinner, but unfortunately, we got carried away paddleboarding and didn't make it back in time. We'll definitely be back when in the area, hopefully tomorrow 👌😁

Was going to eat at this cafe this morning, but they had a sign to say single use containers only... even if you eat in. Which I think is disgraceful when the planet is drowning in plastic. Won't be eating here.

So sorry to say but absolutely Awful, I’ve never tasted fish so bad… we ordered 3 large fish and chips for so myself and children even the children left let food. The chips they used in my order were frozen chips not your usual homemade peeled potatoes. The middle of the chips on the ones we ate were still uncooked. The fish was tough and the batter was awful. We left our food and enjoyed our bread and butter instead with a packet of crisps don’t waste your money…. Microwave chips would have tasted better! So disappointed,if I hadn’t already driven away I would have taken them back

Be aware! We found worms in our fish and chips and we didn't got an apologies from the staff.

luckily tescos closed and we needed a snack. found this place ordered cheese and onion pasties and chips and coffee. best pastie I have had it was perfect. coffee was nice to and so were the chips. its my now new place in seaton to snack at.

Fab fresh crab sandwich in lovely granary bread, excellent, great breakfast bap and coffee

Cheap & cheerful takeaway cafe on the seafront. Took quite a while to make sandwiches but worth the wait: the prawn mayo was out of this world 👌🏼

Freshly cooked scallops and chips were delicious and great value. Will be back!

Really tasty flatbreads. Two of us ordered with slight adjustments to the menu and we were happily accommodated. Good value and delicious.

Visited Sunday, great coffee friendly staff, made a fuss over my dog.

Visited on 10th July lovely sausage baguette also had a bacon baguette charged £6 went again next day same order got charged£9 questioned price got told that's what we charge not the same quality as day before

Nice place by the Beach, we had some fish and 🍟 nothing special about it, the only silly thing was that, take then over 20 min. To prepared and served our food !we're two couples sat after us and they have their food ready before ours 😒nothing personal but wasn't fair as we are Tourists!

Visited Seaton on Sunday 25th August 2019 & had there signature burger ,which was lovely & great service & attractive waiting staff

A gem found in seaton devon, a dog friendly cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff, we had homemade coffee cake which was delicious and light and most delightful cream tea the best scones we have ever tasted wish we lived closer to visit more often.

The galley cafe is spot on. Good food and very polite staff. Best in seaton.

Now here is a place to buy proper food, cooked the way it should be, served by happy smiling staff at a very good price in a wonderful location overlooking the beach... if I could give them 10 stars I would, can't recommend them enough
