Costa Coffee in East Devon

They seem to have reduced seating and nice the refurbishment. There huge spaces with no seating. I often go elsewhere when visibly no seating

This store is very spacious, the staff have always been friendly to me, but the coffee and food are absolutely revolting. I've tried a frappe, a white mocha, and a hot chocolate, and all of them tasted worse then vending machine coffee. The breakfast wrap was not heated properly and tasted disgusting. £5 for the wrap and £5 for a revolting coffee. I've gone into Costa recently as Cafe Nero keep changing their opening times and now don't even open when they are supposed to. On a positive note, I'd like to commend the young lady who was forced to work alone on a Sunday (29/12/2024) morning with a queue to the door. She was extremely polite and was going as fast as she could. Manager/owner- sort your act out and do not leave staff alone to contend with an overwhelming amount of customers.

Costa is Costa most of the time but depends on the barrister. Only ever get coffees or chocolate drinks and always takeaways

Absolutely love Costa. I often come in for a coffee and cake. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside. The biscoff cheesecake is amazing. The staff are always friendly and it's always clean and tidy. Can get very busy at times, but I've always managed to get a table. There's also a drive-thru.

Go here regularly as a bus driver and always have a friendly happy and quick service at 7am.

We only went for coffee the staff are experienced baristas so the quality was excellent.

It's OK but very open table layout does not offer much privacy for customers and it is not very cosy inside. Did not enjoy working here on my laptop. Better for quick coffee stops. The coffee was typical but they did not make it as hot I would have liked when asking for extra hot and I was met by some resistance for turning up the temperature which I do not typically experience at other Costas. I had to go back to request my Soya Latte to be redone.

Got what we asked for. Polite staff. Food very nice and hot just like the coffee ☕️

Lady called Charlotte served me. Was so incredibly impressed with the service and the response and helpfulness regarding my nut allergy. Absolutely above and beyond, very impressed.

The young lady who served me was so friendly and nice, probably the best Costa person I've experienced. Unfortnately the food was terrible. Had an egg mayo sandwich that had no mayo and no butter, it was SO dry! Should have complained but there was a queue so it was easier not to.

Enjoyed an early morning cappuccino and toasted teacake. Assistant was on her own but was very professional and got through the queue efficiently and at the same time was extremely polite and friendly

There is no -5 so had to put one. On asking for a frappe with NO cream got , you gest it a load of cream on taking it back to counter was asked want another or shall I remove cream remove will be OK So with a quick flick of a bare hand knocked cream of top and said there you go.

Last time I went here the very very rude man was the manager there!! Hated going in there!! But I found out he has left and I have just gone in and was welcomed by 2 girls with smiles on there faces!! Brilliant service and glad you have a new manager!!

Gosh the staff here are so lovely, working exceptionally hard to keep up and each time greeted with a smile. Rather busy but so worth the wait. Trying the different Frappes which are going down a treat. The mint choc chip is amazing, the Mango is refreshing and not as thick. The bacon baps are done to perfection each time. The rocky road ..total yum.

Not as good as some stores staff very friendly coffee and food was good but the store was looking a bit old and worn the toilets were not very good not that clean and very tatty

We go to many Costa Coffee places around Birmingham and Lichfield and always find them excellent. The staff are always welcoming and give very good service. Fully recommend Costa Coffee and their free coffee scheme.

I know their very busy but young girl was very hard to talk to plus rude and then try using my BlueLightCard and told that Costa doesn’t expect it however we use in Exeter costa everyday?

Very obliging helpful people in exmouth

Unfortunately, this store was extremely understaffed and the queue was unrelenting. There was one pleasant young lady, who was having to make the drinks and food and take payment, all on her own. The store looks very untidy and grubby and particularly hygienic. It has rapidly gone downhill, which is a shame and disappointment as it used to be an enjoyable place to visit.

Love this place for soya hot chocolate and a great gingerbread muffin . Took my 4 year old granddaughter there as she gets her own free baby chino plus marshmallows and a flake and she had a xmas muffin which makes her feel grown up. Nice friendly staff to.

Very busy with a wait in a queue for 20 mins but two girls were keeping the tables regularly cleared, cleaned and sanitised so we'll done. All staff were polite and friendly.

Costa is always good in terms of beverages and food. Exmouth Costa has a variety of seating arrangements but more comfy seating would be great, and maybe another loo!

I usually use local.,independant coffee shops, but being a Sunday some were closed and others were full - it was over lunchtime. The service was quick, considering it was quite busy. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. A bit bland if I'm honest.

If you look for a good coffee in Exmouth, look further than at a well know, national chain coffee place. I am sure that this visit was my last one in a costa coffee. Barista mixed an old oat milk with a coconut one for my coffee. As I took an late, there was quite a lot of it. As a coffe lover, and barista, I give -5/10 for my experience at this place.

A couple of times visiting here, staff who work here are incredibly rude and slow. On top of being cold and unwelcoming we were physically “shooed” out of the shop by a member of staff to queue outside - so instead we left and went to Nero instead - much friendlier staff

Disgusted!!! Member of staff wiped the table, table stand and footplate base with paper towel and then went to next table and used same paper towel to wipe the table. Won’t be visiting again.

First time to this Costa shop, although coffee was good ,staff not so much ,very slow at making coffee .was rudely spoken too, when I ask for sugar and a stirrer . wouldn't scan my app for me when I asked at the beginning of the purchase, so its a no no for me first and last time I visit here .
